Best Eggs Benedict I’ve ever had! Also had their chicken with fried egg sandwich and French toast which were all great. Great food, very nice people and the cook serves you as well!

Such a great place, super friendly ladies running the place. My daughter insisted on returning for the oatmeal several times. Best croissants I’ve had for a while. Lunch was super delicious as well. Egg sandwich, they’d run out of chicken so suggested bacon which was a great replacement. Great, calm and relaxed place to start the day. Nice to find somewhere out of the chaos!

Delicious food — best tuna melt ever, best deep apple pie ever, cozy, friendly, also yummy coffee. Near museums but away from hub-bub.

We are in town for work and happened upon this little café after attempting to go to Café Loetje which is closed for construction. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this turned out to be a quick and filling lunch place. I had the jamón serrano sandwich and my colleague had the chicken sandwich and both were really good!

Really sweet and cozy café that serves breakfast and lunch. I ordered the chai tea latte and the French toast. Both were really good. The service was excellent. The décor is quaint and very cozy. I will definitely come back again. Plus, free wifi!!! :-)

This literally is my corner bakery since I live in the hood. Prices are just a tad on the bit more expensive side for café prices. Ie: they had a large bottle of water priced at 10 €. I’m basing my stars on atmosphere and service since all I had here was a coffee. My friend had their yogurt and muesli and i thought it looked a bit disappointing because the fruits on it were only apples and bananas. I will return for food, especially for their desserts which are beautifully displayed in their window. To be honest often times I’ll cross the street so I don’t have to walk by that dessert window… Wait staff is friendly and it’s a very easy going vibe. They recently built some benches for outdoor seating. They also do coffee to go. All in all I’m glad they opened up!

Today I went to Corner Bakery today I must say that I really liked it! The experience was just very good. The place just looks very cute. When walking by you might think that it is small but there is a basement with a lot of seats so there are plenty of seats. The interior is cute and simple, also in the basement, where there is also a little play-corner for kids. The staff was very, very friendly. Smiling, helpful, sweet and quick. When we came in we saw the cakes and pastries and we knew that we were going to order something sweet here! So we did not try the sandwiches or salads, so unfortunately I cant tell you about that. I had a matcha latte(2,75), which was nice.(I love matcha lattes! Always love it when a place has them on the menu) My boyfriend ordered a juice which seemed a bit expensive on the menu(4,75) but came in a bottle, tasted great and was enough for 2 big glasses so it was fine. We shared a piece of the Oreo cake(3,50) which tasted delicious! Loved it! Very well baked. When I told the woman behind the counter that I loved the cake she also let me taste the chocolate cheesecake which was amazing. So yummy! The have very nice options for cakes like red velvet, cookie dough cake bars, apple pie(smelled great!!) and more. I like how they have not only standard pies like apple pie and chocolate pie but more interesting ones like Oreo pie as well. They do their baking very well! I saw their reviews on Unilocal are not that high but I wonder if those people have tried the pies? Maybe their sandwiches are not special, I don’t know about that since i have not tried them, but their sweets are great. try it! :)

This place serves artisinal pastries, salads and sandwiches. In theory that apeals to me, however I and my friend ate one of the sandwiches on February 22, 2014 and had FOODPOISONING for 24+ hours afterward. I did question their placement of a refridgerator in the WC. Take your chances…

I went to the Corner Bakery because a friend of mine lives in this neighbourhood and suggested to meet there for coffee. It has only opened recently and it appears kind of improvised. Although the room is nicely decorated with nostalgic elements it somehow feels bleak. It’s not a place that instantly makes me wanna stay for hours. Maybe it’s because the owners still seem to be in the process of finding heir way around and were quite distracted with organizing stuff. Maybe it’s because we’re spoilt having so many nice and cozy places in Amsterdam. However, the owners of the Corner Bakery just have too much competition to allow themselves to be so average.
