Coffeeshop Siberie

I really loved this place. Quietly unassuming although not particularly out of the way, it’s a great place to stop if you’re ducking the perpetual rain, need a cup of tea or coffee or you just need a place to relax.
The menu here is informative and slightly more offbeat than nearby Bulldog Rockshop. There was no standard White Widow, Silver Haze Northern Lights, etc. Instead there were more obscure strains like Snow White, Chocolate Kush, Mighty Widow as well as a variety of hash. All prices were very reasonable and if you’re really strapped for cash there are 3 very budget offerings beginning at EUR3.50 p/​g. (Thai etc.)
Staff are friendly and will chat to you about whatever you want. The coffee was excellent and the selection of loose leaf tea is huge!
There is no tobacco ban in this coffeeshop so although there is free herbal mix at the counter, do not think you have to use it. Grinders are communal and for purchase but I highly suggest the shop next door which is loaded with everything you could need at very reasonable prices.

Andere Coffeeshops der Stadt sind in der Regel sehr dunkel, oft gibt es hämmernde Techno-​Beats und, je nach Lage, sind sie von Touristen überlaufen, die dann zugedröhnt das Erscheinungsbild prägen. Dies alles ist hier nicht so.
Das Licht ist recht hell, auch das Interieur ist entsprechend und erinnert eher an ein Bistro, als an eine rauchgeschwängerte Lasterhöhle. Auch Touristen gibt es hier eher wenig, obwohl die Brouwersgracht zentral liegt. Die Musik ist entspannend, ich glaube es war Jazz.
Das Personal am Counter ist sehr freundlich und berät einen gerne, zudem gibt es auf der Karte kleine Embleme, welche Sorte welche Wirkung hat. Die Produkte gibt es lose oder gerollt. Die Auswahl ist überschaubar aber (soweit ich mir das anmaßen kann zu beurteilen) zufrieden stellend. Soweit ich mich erinnere, sind alle Produkte Bio.
Hinzu kommt das gute Preis-​Leistungsverhältnis. Frisch gepresste Säfte und andere Getränke, die man gerne bestellen kann, sind überraschend günstig und echt gut. Also auch als Saftbar durchaus zu empfehlen.

We tried one other coffee shop before this one and it wasn’t quite the right scene for us… As soon as we found this place we knew it was for us. The surroundings are stunningly beautiful and the coffee shop itself is so chilled. The people were very kind and helpful and it is a must for anyone looking for a chilled out vibe.

I’ve been here quite a few times because this place is super chill and I always meet really fun people to talk to. The people behind the counter are helpful and there is also free wifi here. Free Wifi is always a plus when traveling because then I can check my social media networks, email, whatsapp/​iMessage/​Viber, and most importantly Unilocal for a good place to eat nearby. :-) There are lots of cheesy and touristy places in central and this is not one of them. But don’t come here with a posse of tourists because they will not be friendly to you. Also this is not a novelty place and residents come here to relax so do not bring a rowdy crowd. All of the times I have been here, I have gone on my own.
