Visiting Amsterdam on a business trip and went to Casa Peru since it was recommended by a local. We really enjoyed the combo appetizer — and I had the shrimp and rice«mariscos con Arroz». I also liked the Chilean sauvignon blanc wine. Service a bit slow but the food was served hot and delicious.

Decent Peruvian restaurant, they offer a large selection of dishes with attractive description. It was hard to choose what to order :) I wanted to start the dinner with a ceviche of course, it was at 16.5 euros, which is expensive I think. Anyway, let’s see if the Sea bass in «Tiger milk“is as fresh as specified in the menu. The portion is one person sized, full of onion, difficult to share. The taste is here, amertume, freshness, but I expected more sweet potato and corn. As a main dish I got the slices of Lamb, again full of onion, meat was nicely cooked. Not a plate I would remember forever. The presentation is not appealing but the taste were there and I was almost full I could not finish. I kept some space for the dessert anyway. I was surprised about the prices(8.5 euros). But again, the description of dessert promised a good experience. I tried the traditional Tres Leches cake. Surely the best part of my meal! Service was nice but not as fast as you expect. Smiling and polite, it is a great place and I loved the setting. Prices tends to be high, but if you can allow between 40⁄50 euros for the dinner, it is a place you should consider when in Amsterdam.

Super solid restaurant! Really loved the food, the ambiance and the tres leches dessert which I’m entirely still thinking about. The food is fresh and well prepared, perfectly seasoned and the staff is knowledgeable and happy. Try their white Peruvian wine, too, it’s delish! A must see restaurant if you’re ever in Dam!

My Dutch wife was here 20 years ago when this restaurant first opened. It’s one block away from Leidseplein where mediocre food rules. We happend to stop by on their 20th anniversary. We sat outside and enjoyed fabulous food, excellent service and great atmosphere.

Excellent example of Peruvian cuisine, great taste and variety. Brings back memories of my 18 yrs in South America, worth a visit with friends. Choose a mixture of entrees so you can taste widely. Did not disappoint.

I really struggled to give a review to this place. Ok so up until now i didn’t even know that {Peru had its own cousin and i really couldn’t wait to try it. SO lets start with the good part… The food. It was really good nicely presented and with a good choice of plates you probably never heard about. Service was very good as well. Now the bad part NOISE!!! The place is so small and crammed up with so many tables that when it is full the noise level is so high that you need to shout to be heard. Also it took them for ever to bring us the main course but this seems to be the trend with all Peruvian Restaurants. All in all its a good place though and i believe it wort a shot

this is an old Amsterdam favorite, whether eating at a table beside the canal on a nice day or inside by candlelight on a cold evening. start with a Peruvian tea, it must use either huacalta or black mint leaves just sitting in hot water. simple, but some of the best I’ve had, great with honey. after that, any dish is a good choice, really.

Great patio on the canal and bridge overlooking the sites. Cold beer and secondary service. I’d return again for a cold beer on a beautiful day to people watch.

Holy mother! Loved this place. It tasted just like my momma made dishes back home. For starters we had the chicharrun and the papa relleno both of which were really filling but very tasty. For my main I had the pork something or other and it was amazing. The lomo saltado was also ordered and it looked equally good. Seriously good food can be found here. The tres leches on the other hand was good, but not traditional and thats really what I was looking for that day. otherwise super good, AND outdoor seating!
