Such a cozy restaurant. The space is also well divided into three sections, so your table will feel somewhat more private instead having everyone in one big open space. The service was excellent too. Super friendly and helpful waiters. But the big question is always; How was the food? And I can answer with: SUPERB! As a starter, my group shared the nachos with excessive amount of cheese on top and super soft quesadillas with –again– cheese oozing from the sides. Few of us ordered the fish soup(not me) and the portion was quite big, served with bread on the side. The main course did not disappoint either. Most of us went for the rib-eye. All I heard about this were a lot of Ooh’s and Aah’s. I ordered the Chiken Fajitas. This was super super good too! The chicken was very juicy and tender with tasty sauce and seasoning poured over it. While I was actually too full for dessert, I decided to share the flan and chocolate cake with two of my friends. And boy, was I glad that I didn’t skip dessert! The flan was more dense than the ones I had before. So it was comparable to a soft cheesecake. Yet, still spongy. And not too sweet, which is a huuuge plus! For the chocolate cake, I don’t even know what to say, besides: can I have more?! Actually one of the best chocolate cakes I’ve ever had. And believe me, I’ve had my fair share of cakes. Two thumbs up and more if I was not limited with two hands

Not bad in any way. Way too expensive for what it is, though.

We went here on a weeknight for dinner and the food was quite decent. They dont have an extensive selection of wine etc. but the place is okay for a quick bite. The food was average and the service was a little slow as there was only one waiter in the entire place. But I may pop by another time again here when in need of a quick mexican meal.

Ended up here randomly when strolling around Amsterdam with a bigger group. It was one of the last sunny days of the Fall, and every single terrace was packed. We were lucky to snag a table at Caramba just as another group was getting up. It’s the kind of place I normally would’ve passed by, as I’ve been terribly disappointed by too many Dutch«nachos». We ordered coffee and tea… and one person ordered nachos… They were so good. Fresh, delicious, and NOT doritos. We ordered more. And I’ve been back several times too.

Hands down the best Mexican food in Amsterdam. The only place I have found in over a year of living here that makes their own homemade tortillas, chips, salsa, and perhaps most importantly, margaritas! Their ritas are handmade from scratch to order by a cheerful old man behind the bar, no sugary syrup mixes in this place! The guacamole was fantastic(with their homemade chips!) and the beef inside the tacos is slow braised flank steak that falls apart in your mouth, delicious.(not cheap ground beef pounded with cumin like everywhere else). Service was polite and quick and the hip Jordaan location is just far enough to keep tourists away. They have outside tables for sunny days and doggies are allowed even inside(but beware the cat!). Having eaten at basically every Amsterdam ‘mexican’ establishment; Los Pilones, La Margarita, Alfonso’s, and Taco Taco– Caramba beats them all by a long shot.
