Burger-Bar

The burgers here are better than American burgers. It’s a small Burger joint, but maybe that’s what makes it the best Burger joint I have ever been to. There’s not a lot of seat, but you can still enjoy this burger. You have a few selection of meats you want as a burger Patty. The burger patties here are very big, seasoned, and very juicy. You can add extra things to your Burger like Eggs or bacon. The burger was very, very good, even to American standards. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam and craving some kind of burgers. The prices are decent, not too expensive for what you’re getting here.

Wow! I never had Kobe beef before. What a treat. The menu is very simple and the prices reasonable. The burger was cooked to perfection. They carefully weigh the raw meat on a scale that has a large, visible display. Service was very quick. There is very limited seating at the Burger Bar.

Reviewed wrong burger place. This place is excellent. The previous post was meant for another place very close, got confused when searched.

The burger is huge! Ordered the Irish burger with the toppings, alone with some fries. Fries are almost as good as Belgians. Love the burger, and the location too.

I absolutely love the burger bar — so visiting Amsterdam again I tried this branch.
It’s exactly the same experience as you get in most, great burgers great service, however I’m reviewing this branch as lower because there really isn’t much space to sit and if you do get a seat, it’s very restricted.
This time I tried the old Amsterdam cheese and mushrooms, 270g Irish and chips with Truffle mayo.
Not sure about the cheese, but loved everything else.

Went there today just after they opened. I got the small Irish patty as it comes with fries. It was very good. I didn’t think I would like it. The beef gave off a smell I’m not used to with a burger. But I was very wrong. The fries were smoking hot fresh.
What made it even was the hot dude who made it.

Has to be one of the best burgers I have had. The meat was so moist and juicy and perfectly seasoned, The French fries are fresh and crispy .
They have a selection of bottled beer, soda or small bottles of wine
There are manny locations around the city so there is no excuse in missing out on a great burger. You won’t regret it !
The burger comes out med rare to medium so if u like your burger well done don’t forget to ask for it (personally I don’t know why would a person like a burger well done)
The buns are warmed up and fresh .
All the burgers are cooked in front so you can tell the staff are very clean.

Surprisingly delicious. Because of the area I thought it would be a greasy stoner burger spot but was pleasantly surprised that it was actually quite a delicious borderline-​gourmet burger spot. Got mine with avocado and goat cheese. The meat blend is amazing and they make the burgers right in front of you and even weigh them on the scale where you can see the exact weight. The burger sizes are quite large but they are very very good. I can’t believe I passed this place so many times without going in.

Ate here when visiting with my parents and I had read such great things but left a bit underwhelmed. While the toppings were great, I asked for it medium and it was raw inside. I hate to send things back but just couldn’t eat it. They said that is how the medium comes, so keep that in mind. I was also slightly dissappointed with the chips, they were a bit cold and just not what I was expecting in comparison to some of the amazing frites we had eaten while there. I have to give them major credit though, they were so nice about taking my burger back and cooking it and also bringing back hot chips for us. There is a great selection of toppings and henekin is on tap. Overall, It was not a write off and would probably try again.

The wait was worth every bite!!! A fantastic burger, cooked medium well, juicy, tender and although bi ordered the smallest size it was more than enough! I ordered mine with blue cheese, fried onions, lettuce tomato YUM! In addition I had a side order of fries which were fantastic and very fresh!
The counter service person was polite and very helpful!
The one mistake… I ordered my food to go and I should have asked for silverware an extra napkins as it was hard to handle such a delicious burger as a sandwich.
On my next trip to Amsterdam I will make it a point to make sure I visit this place again! Bravo!

Delicious food, good atmosphere, nothing special. I enjoy eating there when I’m in the area, but the burger is one that could be purchased anywhere. Quick service, but higher quality than American fast-​food. Pricy for a burger place, but overall I’d recommend eating here.

What a delicious burger! We got the smallest size, Irish beef, and it was gigantic! Great flavor, juicy, mouth watering. The fries are yummy too! Didn’t even finish the burger because it was too big… So I can imagine what the angus burger is like! Try it!

Any time I’m in Amsterdam, I hit this place up. The burgers are good, but really it doesn’t matter what kind of meat you get (so go cheap). But the frites, that’s where it’s at. And the truffled sauce– so so so damn good! Price is right, food comes quick, and it tastes good? Burger Bar is a spot not to miss!

Phantastic bugers close to Amsterdam central. The area is quite ugly but the burgers are great. No wonder that people are queing out on the street. They offer 200 or 280 gr. Burgers with sll kind of toppings. Try the Wagyu wirh Jalaoenos, Cheese and Onions! Bombastic!!! ;-)

Ich kann die positiven Posts nur bestätigen. Sehr gutes Burger Restaurant. Da das Restaurant scheinbar wirklich immer gut besucht ist, herrscht eine etwas hektische Atmosphäre. Das entspannte Personal und der Reaggea gleichen das aber allemal aus. Essensqualität auf höchstem Niveau. Bestes Irish-​Beef.

Probably the best fries we had on our visit to Amsterdam. The burger was good, but it wasn’t cooked rare as ordered (medium). The staff are very friendly, but the customers were a little cranky about having to wait in line, and it gets very tight in there on the weekends.

Eine richtige Überraschung!
Der Laden wirkt im ersten Moment etwas ungemütlich, da es hier immer voll ist. Aber der Stress lohnt sich.
Es gibt drei Sorten Fleisch, alle drei super und sogar relativ günstig (z. B. 6 € für einen großen Burger mit irishem Rind, 7 € für Black Angus Rind).
Der Burger kommt mit Salat und einer Haussoße, welche richtig lecker ist. Alles andere kostet etwas extra.
Das einzige was mir nicht 100% gefallen hat waren die Brötchen. Diese waren wie die Holländer sie lieben, weich und klebrig. Aber das tut dem ganzen kein Abbruch. Wenn man die Brötchen etwas länger toastet bekommt man hier einen (sehr nah am) perfekten Burger.
Wenn ich wieder in Amsterdam bin werde ich auch wieder hier essen.

Superb burger — what you pay for is actually what you get, not like some places where you hope you get what you pay for. We have been staying in Amsterdam for 4 days and been twice (at the wife’s request).
Would definitely visit again when back and recommend to anyone in Amsterdam

I Love this place… Forget about fast food

I was craving a burger and that’s what I got. It was okay but it was REALLY done. The sign says that unless you request any different, the burger will be served medium-​well to well… and this was certainly well-​done. And the fries were okay, but got a little soggy sitting in the container on the 2 minutes walk back to work.
The service was very friendly, so really no complaints about that. I got a burger with none of the regular topping but added cheese and bacon and that is exactly what I got! I will say that it’s 1 euro for 1 piece of bacon… not worth it in my opinion, but what can you do? Get bacon or don’t. Not a huge deal.
It satisfied my need for a burger but it didn’t make me say «mmm…that was a good burger».

Mit einer nicht all zu hohen Erwartung sind wir in die Burger Bar gegangen, denn von den meisten Burger-​Ketten die man so kennt wurde ich nämlich bisher eigentlich fast immer enttäuscht. Nicht so bei der «Burger Bar»! Hier stimmt so gut wie alles:
— das Rindfleisch. Dieses lässt sich in zwei größen bestellen. Entweder 200 oder wuchtige 270 Gramm. Das Fleisch kommt nicht, wie bei der Konkurrenz üblich, einfach aus dem Gefrierschrank sondern wird frisch vor den Augen in die Pattyform gepresst
— die Brötchen. Diese sind nicht so labbrig sondern von der Konsistenz her genau richtig und leicht angeröstet.
— die Toppings. Man kann frei entscheiden was auf den Burger kommt. Das Angebot reicht über Champignons und Speck bis hin zum Spiegelei.
— auch ein Veggieburger ist möglich. Dieser besteht aus einem großen Pilz.
— die (in Amsterdam typischen Belgischen) Pommes gibt es mit einer riesigen Auswahl an verschiedenen Dip Saucen.
Alles wird frisch vor den Augen zubereitet /​gebraten und belegt.
Fazit: eine der besten Fast Food Burger-​Ketten die ich kenne!

4 estrellas para mi significa buenisimooooo, la 5 me la reservo para la comodidad del sitio, sillas, limpieza, parqueo, espera, etc, pero las 4 estrellas las tiene merecidas con el sabor de las hamburguesas, pedí el Black angus, y es muy buena, el pan, la carne, la mayonesa especial que le agregan, la cocción fue perfecta. Es uno de mis sitios preferidos en Amsterdam.

Fresher Laden mit perfekten Zutaten, in dem herrlich unaufgeregt
ein Burger zusammengenagelt wird, der mich stets sprachlos macht.
Brot perfekt, Röstung perfekt, Fleisch perfekt.
Kein Wunder, dass vor dem Laden stets né Schlange ist.
Wenn ich in Amsterdam bin, esse ich dort meist 2x am Tag.

One of three Burger-​Bars throughout the city. This one located on Kolksteeg is tiny with just a few tables and chairs on the inside and a couple of tables with chairs and a bench on the outside. The staff is friendly. There are three choices of beef in two sizes with plenty of choices of toppings. You can order fries with a dip of your choosing. There are several drinks to choose from. The burgers are juicy and flavorful. The fries are hot and crisp. This is one of my favorite burger places in Amsterdam. They’re also dog friendly.

A remarkable experience. Was in town three days and are there twice. Kinda speaks for itself. Only had the wagyu beef burger so I cannot speak to the others, but this was is fantastic. You get to choose what toppings go on the burger, and in the end it isn’t cheap. I think we paid 30 euros for two.
Once I tried the fried egg and that was just ok. I think it was overcooked (the egg, not the burger). The fries are incredible and in both cases I ordered the truffle dip (how can you go wrong with truffle!!).
Expect to wait and there is very limited seating. This is a hole in the wall, but well worth it.
This must be one of my favorite burger joints ever.

Was der Bauer nicht kennt frisst er nicht, getreu dem Motto bin ich zur Burger-​Bar um mir was zum Essen zu holen.
Vor meinen Augen wurde mein Essen mit meinen Wunschzutaten zubereitet und ich muss sagen er war extrem LEEECKER!

One of the best burgers I ever had outside the US — and certainly the most individual one. Choose from 5 types and two sizes of burger, then add some (or many) of the 10 additions, from bacon and onions to avocado and pineapples!
They form your burger before your eyes on a scale to proof that they are generous with the meat, and the delicious fries come in huge amounts as well. Perfect!
