I came here for pomme frites only to be disappointed that they weren’t as crispy as I had hoped. However they do offer a huge selection of sauces. If you have the munchies like the life read said it’s great to stop by but quite frankly I don’t know that there are better places in Amsterdam.

Unappetizing fries meant for people with the munchies on a crowded tourist street. The guy tried to rip me off by shorting me 10euro in change. Almost had to fight him for it Not worth the money. Beware!

I’m in the midst of my travels in Amsterdam and really should be focused on enjoying the city. However, this warrants a quick review, riiight now! These are your standard touristy fast food Belgian fries. I’ve honestly had better back in the states at a full service restaurant. However, considering this snack shop chain can be found anywhere there are tourists(this location being just outside Centraal Station), I’ll judge them for what they are. These are the best I’ve had in Amsterdam! The fries were prepared fresh and served piping hot — nay — scalding! Just give it a minute. There are combo options too — and every American needs their soda fix. Oh, and the little man behind the counter is 100% what I imagine a French Fry selling cartoon character would be! Totally beside the point; I know, I know! Anyways, Far better than Manneken Pis down the street where the prices are steeper, everything is a la carte, and the fries are old and soggy. When you’ve stepped off the train and are headed down towards Dam Square, don’t stop at the first place you see. Carry on a bit further to the adorable old man selling Vlaamse Frites!
