Brasserie Pit is a new place on the Vijzelstraat where you can come for a breakfast, lunch, coffee or drinks. It has a quirky interior met many decorations(that are also for sale mostly) and plenty of seats. I went here for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon and it wasn’t very crowded, plenty of seats left but there were enough people for it to be cozy. The place looks fun and colorful and it very different from most places you see opening up these days(vintage/industrial seems to be the most popular nowadays). I like how this place is different but still nice and cool. especially in the back there is a cool spot(I did not picture this unfortunately since people were eating there). The staff was okay, not unfriendly, but not very enthusiastic either. The card looked nice, nice choice in sandwiches and salads. I went with the soup of the day(5 euro), which was lentil soup. This came without bread so I also ordered a few slices(2,50 extra, kinda expensive since I think soup should come with a bit bread). I also ordered coffee. This coffee was fine, just regular. The soup was fine, nothing special but it tasted okay. I would say Pit is a nice spot if your in the neighborhood but it is not really something special. The interior is fun, the food is decent and prices are fine. Would not really recommend it, but its not bad either.
