The most amazing apple pie, cheese cake, bruschetta, veg pumpkin salad EVER!!! Not sure what is wrong with the other people who did these reviews. The need «help».
Chef was friendly and so attentive. Everything here is home made perfection!

With Hugo’s Bar & Kitchen and Brasserie de Groot the applicability of the street name is probably exhausted. Unless you become creative. Huig & Friends. Grotius’ Grill. H the Great. Café le Grand.
PART 1 — the day experience
My friends are already fans and I also wanted to become one. My friends started with borrels and they were all excited about the bar snacks and also mentioned the 8 beers from the tap.
I first came here to try the lunch. The food was good but I think the choice is quite boring. And the waiter had to make 2 attempts to get my order to the kitchen although there were only 5 guests in total.
PART 2 — the evening experience
The place was full when we entered. The two girls who served were very friendly and professional and they quickly managed to get a table for us.
We got our drinks quickly and also when we ordered the food we didn’t have to wait too long until it was served.
But there are still some things that bother me about Brasserie. Maybe I’m picky but it’s really details like these that sum up and in the end give you a mixed feeling about a place. In my opinion you better open some days or weeks later and make sure that everything’s ready instead of opening and and let the customers have a so-​so experience in the first weeks.
The menu isn’t designed properly at the moment but put together in Word, printed and laminated (I guess/​hope they’ll get a designed one soon). You can’t find it on their website. I don’t know why they have a website at all, because it’s only a white page with the logo, address and e-​mail.
They didn’t ask what sauce we wanted with the tournedos but just chose one. They didn’t serve the gepofte aardappel according to the menu without any comment about it but one portion of fries. We were fine with fries but it would have been professional to get an information about the change. And it was one portion to share for 2 people and also the small salad was to share. This feels like a rip-​off when the price for the dish is € 21.50. Even if the meat is great.
When we asked one of the waitresses if we can get a second portion of fries she reacted a little irritated. She explained that we only got one because the rest of our dish was bigger than normal (didn’t look so big in our opinion). We got a second portion but we didn’t understand why they try to save on the fries.
At the moment you can only pay with cash. Awkward, because you don’t get this info anywhere. My friends knew it and there is a cash machine nearby, but still.
We’ll probably come back because the food is good and it’s in our neighbourhood but there are just so many buts.
