Nice place alone Prinsengracht canal. The food was tasty especially after walking in from a light drizzle. The prices are reasonable for Amsterdam standards. The service was quick and friendly. Def recommend.

This was our first meal in Amsterdam and I was blown away by the flavors. We just flew in and started exploring the area and came upon this place. It was cold outside and as soon as we opened the door, it was warm and smelled SO good, we had to eat there. The sauces were on point and the portions were perfect. Of course the Heineken is better in Amsterdam than in America so we had a few. The yellow curry was my favorite. The staff was friendly and amused by all of our«mmmmmm» and«ooohhhh» sounds. They are fast and no nonsense. After spending a few minutes there, we realized a lot of locals were eating there, so we knew we had picked a good place. We struck up a conversation with a Dutch couple next to us who confirmed this was the place to get great Thai food. Not a touristy or overrated place. The prices were fair as well. Highly recommended!

We have been on the road for three weeks, craving Asian food so we stopped in. The menu was the standards, but pretty expensive. We weren’t too hungry so got a soup that was ok, and the pad thai. What a disappointment to the Thai restaurants we have at home and my memories of Thai food in Thailand. The pad thai was a small serving, sweet tasting, and hardly and ingredients but the noodles. At 14euro, just best to stay away from Asian food while in Amsterdam.

Cosy little place on one of the most romantic canals of Amsterdam. Offers very good food with reasonable prices compared to others with same quality. Very good and friendly service. Highly recommended if you need a good relaxed Thai meal with friends or if you’re on a first date.

I love eating at Billy Thais. The food is great but it’s the people who work there who really make it fun! Learn a few Thai words before you go and you’ll have them laughing all night!

There’s definitely some loose interpretations on Thai food here. To the proprietors: If you dare charge € 14 for pad see ew, make it somewhat authentic with broad rice noodles instead of lo mein noodles.
