I am a huge fan of the St. Christopher’s Inn Chain in Europe and when I went to Amsterdam I knew this would be the place to be! It was awesome having the«club» next door so you didn’t have to go far! I was there for Halloween and honestly had the time of my life. There was free face painting, a pub crawl and quite the crowd! The breakfast in the morning was by far the best of all of the other Belushi locations as well… Yogurt, eggs, fruit, toast… What more could you want!

Awesome place with great food! Americanized burger joint that is attached to a hostel, and if you stay in the hostel, you get a discount! They have a variety of burgers, wraps, appetizers, and wraps… with a full bar that has a 2 for 1 happy hour deal until midnight! They had other random drink specials posted around the restaurant too, along with this awesome Mural of Amy Winehouse, Bob Marley, Kurt Cobain, BB King, and a few other legendary artist. Very chill spot… good music, they have live bands come in during certain times of the day, a smoking room with tables where you can smoke and eat. Bartenders are all super nice… so you go to the bar and order everything you want, pay, and they give you a number to put on the table that you choose. Food was great! I got the smoke and cheese burger that came with bacon and a side of fries… a water and a double rum and coke for around 14 euros. If you’re looking for a chill place with great food and cheap drinks, this is the place got you!

Went to Belishi, s for dinner and it was just ok. The burger itself was not bad, but restaurants in the vicinity have better burgers for the same price. In addition the fries were mediocre, and service can’t really be rated because you have to order at the counter.

Like most Amsterdam bars, The Winston won’t blow your socks off but it’s a great spot for a hotel/hostel watering hole. Drinks are cheap and strong, no complaints. Bartenders on their game, broke up a couple of lads trying to take each other’s clothes off. I think I’ve said enough.

It’s a great place to relax watch some sports of TV and hang out with friends. They also have 2 becks for € 5 which is a bargain for the tourist areas. My mate recommended the place as she always makes sure to visit here everytime she is in Amsterdam. Sure there is a younger crowd but everyone is in a good mood and expect some friendly banter with a random person while you wait in line at the toilets. There are two smoking areas one inside for winter and a balcony area outside for the brave in winter or everyone in summer. For a good laugh check out their menu descriptions they certainly don’t take life too seriously. Oh there is also a hostel above the place so don’t be surprised to see a traveller standing in pyjamas next to you at the bar once in a while.

We came in this place for a few reasons — One, I knew it from back home in Berlin. Second, I remembered it was a really nice place. And third — our friend felt really bad and almost passed out, as I remembered this was also a hostel, we came in and asked for some water, it was the only bar that agreed to do so. Later he felt much better so we bought some drinks, and water for him, and stayed there for a little while. The atmosphere was really nice and people were very friendly, I also wanted to play a little game of pool, and of course ended up playing three… Can’t leave the pool table when I’m around it! Even though it was pretty tight playing around it, so sometimes you had to use a very short stick to hit the white ball. As it started to get late the staff gathered around the smokers zone too and mingled with everyone. I always consider Belushi’s to be somewhat touristy, but very down to earth and human, so it has value over just being«one of these bars». Keep up the good work!

If heaven was designed by a male between the ages of 16 and 23, this place wouldn’t have been far off. It has: Good beer: I could drink the Leffe Double all day. Good music: All 90s all the time. Cake, STP, The Beastie Boys, Nirvana… Drink specials: I can’t remember specifics, but I drank a lot of cheap Jäger. The most tolerant of laws: Pretty much anything goes. Unhealthy food: Items named«Chicken Schnitzel Tower and Big BBQ Bacon melt» can’t be bad.* The only reason this couldn’t actually be fratboy heaven is because the girls were outnumbered at least 15 to 1.** The clientele is almost entirely composed of young male travelers looking to make friends and bad decisions. I pride myself on having been in the best people-watching spots around, and I must say, this place could claim the crown. Now that I’m in my late 20s though, hanging out here makes me feel like I’m descending into a midlife crisis, and depressingly trying to recapture my youth. Good for a drink and a laugh, but I doubt I’d return. __________ *However, our decision to order the platter of shitty frozen fried food was certainly the wrong one. The«shrimp» were oily, the sauces weak, and the dumplings didn’t deserve to be called such. And not just because they were veggie. **And 50% of these ladies were falling down drunk at 6 pm. For that girl’s sake, I hope she had some friends around, because there definitely seemed to be a few creepers milling about.

Man, I love this place. One thing I can say is debauchery heaven! This is where the sex workers go out and party. I won’t say which night but I do know because I experienced all the lovely ladies, I will let them keep their special night. Belushi’s has five smoking areas, two inside, one upstairs, one down below on the lower level and one outside. This place is also a hostel so they do try to keep you quiet after 9:00p.m. so their patrons can sleep. If you are good, you can stay outside. If you are too loud(the outside party goers) you have to come inside. It is almost like living at your parents house. I spent more time at Belushi’s then any other establishment in a seven day period in Amsterdam. I visited multiple times per day. The service is outstanding, drinks are kept full at all times. Bartenders are very attentive. Drinks are inexpensive. They have an awesome beer there, it is the Rose flavored hoegaarden. Not the Rose’ champagne hoegaarden, the Rose flavored beer, it is to die for! I have never found this Rose flavored hoegaarden since, so it is always a pleasure to stop at Belushi’s. This hostel/bar is great for the younger crowd. You can nap in your room, go out to the bar, have a party, be social and head straight back to your room if you desire. The party stays pretty steady all night long. Can’t think of enough good things to say about this place. Hope to crash there on my next Amsterdam stint, but will pack a pair of ear plugs just in case the party stays loud.

I love this place! It was kind of like our home base while we were visiting Amsterdam. It felt like our trusty little neighborhood bar, however it was in the middle of the Red Light district. Very friendly service, good music, good vibes. Nice outdoor seating area. Free WiFi. Food was decent. Cozy place.

As anyone who has read my review of Belushi’s in Brighton will know, I’m not a huge fan of this chain(slight understatement here!) However, the Belushi’s in Amsterdam was a lot nicer. It was the second stop on our infamous Amsterdam pub crawl so we were still relatively sober at this point. We arrived en masse but were able to get served promptly, the bar staff are obviously used to being ambushed in this fashion. Even though they were required to work quickly they were still helpful and friendly which was a nice touch. We were entitled to a free shot and the barman offered us a choice of vodka, red stuff or green stuff. We opted for the green stuff and luckily this was apple sours, my shot of choice! The bar was clean and smart looking, the walls decorated with pictures of sports stars. The toilets are located upstairs but relatively easy to reach. Again, probably wouldn’t have come here if it were not for the organised pub crawl but it was a relatively decent experience.
