Amazing! Food was excellent with a great atmosphere. I got the chickpea burger, spinach salad, and the dates with goat cheese was out of this world. Highly recommend!

Stopped in for food after having a few beers down the street. Patatas bravas and olives were fine, but nothing special. Calamari was lacking.

We had reservations for New Year’s Eve here and it was amazing. The entire staff was very nice, and the food was great. We ordered the seafood and meats assortment tapas, the paella, beef tenderloin, and Catalan stew to share. It was definitely enough food for 4 people. For dessert, we had coffee, hot cocoa, the custard and apple tartlet. That was a great way to end the dinner.
Because it was New Year’s Eve, they turned the restaurant into a bar/​club and gave us free entry!

Excellent place for tapas, drinks, or full mains. It’s on Heinekenplein, which is convenient, but prices are also a little higher than expected as a result.

On a recent visit to Amsterdam we found Barca and had a fantastic experience. Comfortable — Amazing and authentic Spanish food — Friendly and fun staff. We enjoyed it so much that we went back 3 days later and had another incredible evening. Try it. We bet you’ll like it too!

The weather was nice so we sat on the terrace outside, chill area.
The staff is really helpful and nice.
The wine is good. They have a pretty good selection.
As for the food, we had a variety of tapas, from cheese plate to asparagus to the falafel burger. All and all, the food was great! Well seasoned, fresh and served at the right temperature.
For 4 glasses of wine and a 4 or 5 tapas, we each paid 25 €, so price is fair.

Ich war vor einigen Tagen mit meinem Freund im Barca zu Abend essen. Das Restaurant befindet sich in geselliger Umgebung am Marie Heinekenplein und sieht aufgrund der rustikal in Holz gestalteten Möbel sehr einladend aus. Wir haben einige Tapas bestellt, die allesamt sehr lecker waren. Bei der erste Runde mussten wir leider ein bisschen länger warten, aber der Laden war komplett voll und somit war es total verständlich. Die nächsten Runden Tapas kamen dafür umso schneller. Alles sah sehr ansprechend aus (Kartoffelecken mit aioli, Champignons, Spargel, Brot mit aioli, frittierte Calamari) und war sehr lecker. Dazu haben wir leckeren Weißwein genossen, den die aufmerksamen Bedienungen immer nachschenkten. Für 2 Personen haben wir an dem Abend 50 € bezahlt, vollkommen angemessenes Preisleistungsverhältnis, super Lage, leckeres Essen und freundlicher Service. Ich komme gerne wieder :-)

Top notch. We had calamari, cheese puffs, spicy meatballs, yogurt chicken and potato bravas, and delicious lamb cutlets. And pumpkin omelette.

This place is sexy and fun, and while we went twice, we saw most people enjoying drinks and laughing with friends, and not so many dining.
We chose three tapas the first time, patatas bravas (which I always have to try), croquettas (which my husband had never had) and one fried thing I really don’t remember the name of and which I didn’t care for anyway.
The patatas bravas weren’t spicy at all, but the fries themselves were fine.
At least they led to an interesting conversation on the name ;)
The croquettas were filled with meat and cheese and were delicious.
We went back for those actually ;)
For a safe bet on a sexy spot to enjoy some wine or mixed drinks and a snack, Barça is a good option. It’s definitely more about the atmosphere/​vibe than the restaurant anyway :)
We liked it well enough. But it wasn’t the best *food* we had on our trip to Amsterdam :)

Nice cocktails. :) it was quite crowded since its a Friday night. The location is nice, at Heinekenplein, not far from central neither Leidseplein, the night life district. So it can be a nice warming-​up for a Party-​Friday-​night! ;)

I am going to start by saying that the three stars is for the atmosphere – I am not a fan of a so loud you can’t hear your dinner companion type of place. Also, our service was not great but to our server’s credit, she had all the tables in our side of the restaurant! That said, the food was good. The prawns were delicious and so was the meat paella – one of my all time favorites!

I’ve been here a few times because it was convenient but it’s not my sort of place. It’s flashy and lacks substance.
The servers have always been nice and service is fine but every time I’ve had white wine here it hasn’t been chilled properly. Last time I went for the hot chocolate, a depressing combination of cocoa powder dissolved in lukewarm water. So can’t really recommend it.

With seating inside or outside you can’t really go wrong. The ambiance is right on and it’s a comfortable place to visit. It’s somewhat loud but my friend and I could still hear each other just fine.
We found the English menu to be very helpful and of course there are a lot of options! Watch the prices vs the proportions. I thought the beef tenderloin with herb oil was a good deal, but it was under a title that I didn’t understand (it was in Spanish). It’s basically one piece of bread with a spread and one slice of beef on top. It was delicious but pricey for one piece! Oh, and do not get bottled water… still or sparkling. It’s pricey and many places but I don’t think anyone wants to pay 5.50 for a glass full of water. I don’t think that’s just me!
The tomato soup was so good! Definitely recommended on a chilly night. And the bread was nice too. It’s a small loaf and we had it served with aioli which was mighty tasty. We each got a bowl of soup, the beef tenderloin (remember, one piece per order), and split a large bread and it was a good amount of filling. If you wanted dessert there or somewhere else, I’d imagine you would have enough room!
All in all, I would definitely go again and I hope to go again!

Das Barça ist Restaurant und Bar in einem.
Man kann super im Außenbereich sitzen, die Sonne genießen, ein Bier dabei trinken und den Tag ausklingen lassen.
Das Restaurant kommt eher im Look einer Bar daher, sehr stylisch und modern, aber dabei trotzdem gemütlich und einladend.
Der Service ist sehr freundlich und trotz der Fülle draußen relativ flott zur Stelle, wenn man ihn benötigt.
Als Bier kann ich hier das Mc Chouffe Bier aus Belgien empfehlen. Mit 8% hat es etwas mehr Umdrehungen auf der Uhr, als die meisten deutschen Biere, ist dabei aber auch noch super süffig.
Zum Essen gab es mal was Vegetarisches. Der Chickpea Burger war wirklich gut.
Das Kichererbsen Patty war groß und sehr saftig. Die Sauce on Top war sehr cremig und würzig zu gleich.
Für mich als Fleischesser wirklich eine positive Erfahrung, die ich jeden nur an Herz legen möchte der im Barça einmal essen geht.
Mit 7,50 Euro ist der Burger kein Schnäppchen, aber jeden Bissen hat sich gelohnt.
Ist man zu Besuch in Amsterdam, sollte man im Barça auf alle Fälle mal vorbeischauen.

Was für eine stylishe Bar bzw. Restaurant. Alles in einem! Draussen stehen Holztische– und Bänke und man würde niemals auf die Idee kommen, es könnte etwas anderes als casual sein, doch drinnen ist es echt super trendy! Meine Freunde hatten belgisches Bier und da ich Bier nicht mag, hatte ich Rotwein. Viel Rotwein — er schmeckte köstlich. Egal ob man Hunger oder nur Lust auf eine Kleinigkeit hat — die Speisekarte ist super ausgestattet und es gibt sogar eine Auswahl an vegetarische Menüs. Ich entschied mich trotzdem für einen Kalbfleisch-​Burger und WOW schon nur beim Anblick lief mir das Wasser im Mund zusammen! Zurecht, denn das Fleisch war saftig und die hausgemachte Knobli-​Sauce sehr lecker. Falls du in Amsterdam bist, würde ich unbedingt vorbeischauen.

Mitten am Marie Heinekenplein eröffnet sich ein halbmondförmiges Rondo in dem man sich quasi durch die ganze Welt futtern kann. Hier reiht sich der Inder, neben dem Chinesen, neben dem Italiener und vielen anderen. Uns zog es direkt nach Spanien ins Barca. Außen nett zu Sitzen auf Holzbänken an rustikalen Tischen — genau mein Ding — innen richtig stylo-​schick mit diesen tollen floralen ornamentartigen Tapeten und großartiger Beleuchtung. Die ganze Bar/​Restaurant wird nach Einbruch der Dunkelheit hier scheinbar speziell am Wochenende zum Partyort erklärt. Laute Beats pumpen aus den Boxen. Wenn die Stimmung passt, genau das richtige Lokal zum in Schwung kommen. Nicht unweit warten dann schon die nächsten Bars und Pubs auf feiernde Besucher.
Das Essen ist ganz ausgezeichnet. Es gibt Tapas ebenso wie Hauptspeisen. Mein Château briande war herrlich. Medium und auf einem gschmackigen Gemüsebeet mit kleinen Bratkartoffeln im Ganzen. Meine Begleitung schwärmte vom Bier und die Weinauswahl war auch recht ordentlich. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den Service. Der war immer zur Stelle, echt flott und super freundlich. Sogar für Amsterdamer Verhältnisse gibt’s scheinbar noch eine Steigerung. Einziges Manko: wir mussten drinnen bezahlen, weil getrennt. Aber ist vielleicht auch verständlich bei einer größeren Runde und Rechnung.
Für mich ist das hier definitiv ein Ort zum Abhängen und gut Essen.

I ate here a couple of times and it was just ok… I’ve had much better Spanish food in Amsterdam, so it’s more a place to hang out, watch a game on the big TV, and have a few drinks with your friends.

There’s just one place in Amsterdam where you need to watch Barça playing and that’s in Barça, many Spanish/​Catalan Dutch and other tourists very good atmosphere!
Beware the tapas are Dutch priced

Hip Spanish pub and tapas place with a good vibe and fashionable young crowd. Didn’t try the food but the drinks and mojitos were flowing on Mojito night (Thursdays).
Right in the middle of the Heinekenplein square that has a bunch of other restaurants all around it. More «neighborhoody» place in the De Pjip area, nice change away from the drunken tourists that invade Amsterdam
Bottom line: Cool place, will be back!

Spanish restaurant with very good drinks, good tapas, and very nice interior design. In the Pip, with a very fashionable clientele and intimate atmosphere, you can hang out and have drinks on the tables in the afternoon outside or have decent Tapas with a bunch of friends inside.
