For an overall feel-​good experience and an excellent Dutch bite, visit Arnold Cornelis.
As I biked along Van Baerlestraat, I was drawn to the Arnold Cornelis because of the beautiful colors and the tasty looking treats in the window.
You get one on one service when selecting a delectable treat. Served on a saucer with a hot cup of coffee and pastry take a seat outside. Watch the people. You can really reflect on feeling good in Amsterdam.

This is my neighborhood Patisserie and it’s a love/​hate thing for me. Dangerously perfect! the chocolate eclairs are the best i’ve ever had. the whipped cream they use in a lot of their sweets is pure Heaven. it’s fluffy, light, sweet but not too sweet.
i’ve also had a slice of their chestnut cake which was also perfection and i brought one of their Black Forest Cherry cakes to a dinner party. all of it was gone that night.
if you’re looking for a special cake or dessert to impress yourself or others with than this is the place. they bake everything on site.
i fear the winter hibernating months knowing this place is right around the corner from me!!!
oh and the staff here are very friendly and you can just tell they are happy and proud to work there. shocking huh…
