Amsterdam Barbershop

Instead of focussing on cutting my hair, Cesar was whining about getting only four (4!) hours of sleep and that «he could hardly stand up straight».
To make things worse, he was pissed off at his colleague for not arranging a break and/​or lunch for him. The atmosphere was tense, they were fighting like little kids, verbal jousting, painful silences.
I thought I had good chats with him, and the beard treatment felt alright, but the haircut result was nowhere near the reference picture I brought (easy enough, no?). After I brought this up, he cut off 20 cm too much because he was pissed off at having to spend more time on getting it right. I now look like a hipster. I am 37.
Upon emailing him after (and asking some money back) — the reply I got was «I’m glad you liked the service» — and some version of «go f%$k yourself». All spelled and phrased like a retarded 14 year old.
So no, would not recommend, and will never set foot there again.

While traveling through Europe I wanted to make sure to get a haircut and beard trim at a unique barbershop. Amsterdam barbershop exceeded expectations, the barbers were friendly and helpful and the cut and trim were exceptional. True barbershop experience and great results… would absolutely recommend especially to English speaking travelers looking for a great cut and no problem describing exactly what you want done.
