Great location at the riverside. You can come by boat and grap some food at the terrace. They have a landingpoint. Which is unique in Amsterdam.
Ofcourse you can also come by bike or walking:)
Super friendly staff. Their kitchen was not open at 11:00, the chef was delayed. One guy of the staff gaves us extra cookies while we where waiting on the chef.
He was really a host. Something wich is rare in Amsterdam.
I ordered some bacon and eggs with sunny side up. But they where not ok. Maybe the chef was still not there and they asked a guest to make them. It was also served with giant turkish bread wich is impossible to eat. Wrong choice of the chef, or who ever baked the eggs.
We also had the apple pie. Which came from wholesalestore and out off the freezer. Please tell me before i order and don’t give me the feeling that’s homemade!
I will definitely come back for a drink, but nothing more than that.

It is a wonderful place to enjoy a drink and a bite to eat! The ambiance is great, sitting outside, boats going by on the canal and even stopping in for a drink and a meal as well, and all sorts of people visiting.
Enjoyed my ceasar salad, some fries, and a couple of beers. I ordered the small salad and it was plenty for me. Several other salads and the spare ribs were enjoyed by our group. The meals were fine and the portions were pretty big.
We were impressed with the fact that the waitress took our drink order and a few minutes later another person brought out the drinks. All-​in-​all and very nice place to enjoy a drink and some food in the sun!

Best bar in Amsterdam! It’s right along the canal so it has great views if you sit outside. The place wasn’t too crowded, so we sat outside and really enjoyed the ambiance (lights, décor, the canal) while sipping on a few brewskis. The staff was also extremely friendly. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Amsterdam.

The food is good and affordable and the terrace is beautiful, but why on earth are they so slow?! I was here twice for lunch with a group, with the place almost completely empty, and it still took almost 3 hours for us from end to end. Most of that time was spent waiting for service, and then waiting (and waiting and waiting) for the food… The worst part was the drinks, it was the kind of situation where you think within the first half hour, «I’m halfway done with my wine, I need to start hunting around for a waiter for a new glass or else it won’t come until we’ve all finished eating.» Still it’s great on a sunny day, thus the 3 stars.

Amstel Haven is known for their lovely terrace. The weather in Amsterdam has been amazing for some reason this summer. So I decided to take advantage of it and take a stroll in the neighborhood. I adore Amstelhaven because they are situated right on the Amstel river, it’s a nice place to enjoy lunch on any given sunny day. I came here for a healthy salad, since I am allergic to about everything. The service was excellent, which can be rear in Amsterdam at times. As for the view, it’s alluring and delightful. Wonderful neighborhood to relax and take a stroll through.

I think this is one of my ultimate summer relax chill places here in Amsterdam. This place feels like holiday even in the first ray of sunshine. Located low, by the waterside, Amstelhaven has one of the best terraces in the city I think. This place is awesome for relaxing, having drinks or lunch. I love that it is so close to my home!
The food I had here was all very nice (goats cheese sandwichhhh, yes I’m addicted to those). The staff is kinda slow although they are not unfriendly. But hey, why be in a hurry when you are sitting at such a relaxing spot. You shouldn’t be hurrying if you come here. This place is for slow and sunny Sunday’s or relaxing after a hard day of work!

Fun! Super fun.
Friday and Saturday nights there’s a dj deck, upbeat music, they push the chairs and tables aside and invite you to wiggle and shake it on the dance floor.
The bartenders are fun. The djs are fun.
Oh, and for you smokers (eh-hem…me), there’s a bit of smoking allowed inside when it’s cold out.
Dark, gezellig and a neat spot for a drink. Like!

A beautiful canal side bar that has a lovely patio and a hip interior where you can keep the party going all night long — open until 5am on weekends I do believe. Drinks are reasonably priced but the food on the dinner menu looked a bit pricey… that being said, I find most places for dinner in Amsterdam quite expensive… except Albert Heijn :-p.

It’s really nice to sit on their terrace by the canal and people even come up by boat! Inside it’s a bit dingy. I’ve only been for drinks and found the service rather slow.

The terrace is really nice… really. it would deserve 5 stars. On one of the Amstel side canals. you can also arrive there by boat.
They offer drinks. food. bar food. nothing incredible. but matches very good with beer and any drink you like. maybe a nice prosecco before dinner!
The service is definitely sloppy … sometimes you need to really grab the waitresses and ask for your order or get directly to the counter… not cool.
It can be over crowded especially when the weather is nice. Inside is ok… a bit dark… but pleasant music.
