I have some friends who shop regularly at this store, oh to have their clothing budgets!
The clothes from Sass and Bide are unique and beautiful but come with a price tag to match.
They seem to be extremely good at picking fabrics that hang well, and they use a lot of black and white so most of the pieces are timeless rather than following some trend or other.
I like the strong structural features and use of graphical prints as well.
One thing of note in the Ponsonby store is the glass changing room in the middle of the store. They have other changing rooms at the back, but this one is there, a complete glass box, in case of emergencies perhaps? On the odd occassion every other changing room is full and you’re in a real hurry to try something one? Luckily it’s got a full set of curtains for just such an occasion.

Sass and Bide creates immaculate clothing and accessories, nothing short of fabulous. I covet almost every item in this store and often have to restrain myself from going in lest my credit card gets a severe work out.
It’s great to see single label boutiques doing so well in Auckland now, it used to be that you could only really find brands such as Sass and Bide in stores like Superette, or make a special trip across the ditch (although no complaining there…)
Not every S&B style suits me as I’m not super-​tall and skinny, but I can still lust.

My favourite brand ever. Sass and Bide is a high end fashion label based in Australia with women’s clothing and accessories.
The Ponsonby store is beautiful and I always drool over it whilst passing through. It is an immaculately kept boutique where you will not find a speck of dust in an unseen corner; it is perfection. Their collections are very upmarket and pricey, not to mention absolutely gorgeous and every on-​trend girls’ dream.
Whilst the girls that work in here are friendly and professional you must ensure not to enter this store in your traackpants to avoid being judged!
