Rickshaw Eddy’s

Excellent food, reasonable prices, friendly family atmosphere. We were there on game night and it was quite fun for everyone. The drinks weren’t coming so we eventually just started getting our own… Great quality for sure!!!

Definitely a nice place to go in mission bay with a stunning view of the sea. The bar is really nice and sear next to a Thai restaurant of the needs for food comes. Otherwise beers price are very reasonable with 24 nzd the jug and also nice snacks and the traditional ribs. Nice place to go and onw of the family favorite I forgot. Nice staff, nice beer, nice place to watch sports. Best bar in Mission Bay in my opinion. Wings are good but food is pretty average and mostly fried. Good for chips and a drink. Great outdoor seating.

Probably the best place to go if you want to drink at Mission Bay. This was formerly known as Reef bar, before it went through it’s direly needed reform.
The entire interior has changed, the deck has been extended out and everything has been improved to make Rickshaw Eddys the best sports bar, general bar and nightlife centre in Mission Bay. They have a nice range of drinks available (recommend the cocktails!) and a lot of seating for both large groups and small catch ups. The stunning views of the bay just add to the excellent atmosphere.
I came here on a quiet weeknight with my partner and we enjoyed an after-​work drink and a bowl of chips (which are HUGE, by the way).

Rickshaw Eddy’s has one of the most lively atmospheres in Mission Bay, usually super busy on Friday and Saturday nights.
The revamp from what once was Reef Bar has done wonders for the interior which was in desperate need of an improvement. The biggest change though was the deck, which has had a much needed expansion further out beyond the Portofino restaurant. This is now probably the biggest deck in Mission Bay, and a must for waterfront venues I believe.
There is a regular covers band that plays at Rickshaw Eddys during the weekend, and I must say they are quite inspirational.
This bar is great for larger groups with the seating areas being big tables or booths. It is ideal for watching the rugby also, with TVs scattered all over the bar.

I love coming to Rickshaw Eddys! Once the old Reef bar, this new and improved bar is in absolute prime area in Auckland’s famous Mission Bay. Located above Portofino’s and next to Starbucks and Ruan Thai, this place is a must stop whenever you’re in the area.
This is a funky sports bar, with half a dozen tvs playing on one wall theres bond to be something decent on.
I spent a lot of time here over the rugby world cup period and this place was pumping! They were so busy!
Rickshaws has a great indoor out door flow, and even heaters outside to keep you warm on those chillier nights.
They have a great menu, but its predominantly Thai, as they are joint with Ruan Thai. One thing I have never had but would love to order one time is the ‘Asian boy cuddles’, price = free! This quite obviously show that they’re all a friendly, laid back bunch here at Rickshaws.
They also can validate parking if you’re in the pay and display area located behind the bar. Otherwise there is plenty of street parking,

You haven’t enjoyed a drink at Mission Bay if you haven’t carried yourself up the stairs to Rickshaw Eddy’s. This place is one of those places that allow you to enjoy the scenery while you do something that I enjoy, sipping on a lovely cocktail. I must say Rickshaw Eddy’s serves a very good cosmo and a range of beers that you don’t usually find in other bars.
My favourite memory at Rickshaw Eddy’s was sitting outside, having the wind run through my hair while I talked, laughed and enjoyed the sun. It is perfectly located offering guests a view of the beach and surrounding areas. If you don’t feel like sitting in the sun there is plenty of space indoors.
