Pizza is one of my favourite foods. I can literally eat it any time of the day, any day of the week, and time of the year. Ordering pizza used to mean Pizza Hut or Hells, but somewhere along the way, my tastebuds stood up for themselves and said ‘No more!’ After discovering how much better pizza can be I don’t think I could ever go back to a chain store. Crust is a recent discovery, and I will definitely be going back. I had heard about it before I went and my friends’ reviews were awesome. Situated in Parnell, it is a little bit out of my way, so I was excited to be driving in that area around dinner time. I got the Mexican pizza which was so delicious. And my friend got the duck. He was silent for about 25 minutes so I assume it was equally good. They really stack on the ingredients which I really appreciate, and all the flavours are full and fresh. The flavours are unique and exotic, and I want to try pretty much every one.

I rate Crust highly for their commitment to healthier eating through using fresh ingredients and by being completely transparent with regards to what they use in and on their pizzas. Going beyond providing allergen options, crust provide the nutritional information and ingredient listings for everything that is on their menu. This is fantastic. I have had the Margherita pizza, as the standard bases are free from animal products. The ingredients are really fresh so what you get is great tasting pizza and you know what you’re putting in your mouth which is important. I like the fact that their menu is diverse offering pasts and salads. I have had the pear and mixed leaf salad without the cheese, this makes a great light lunch or for the health and weight conscious, eat less pizza by adding a salad to your order. Both times I have eaten in at Crust, the restaurant is spacious and always clean and the guys who work here are really friendly. Crust is one of the best fast food options by far, the Crust experience is a real food experience, made fast but from slow ingredients.

I have only ever had pizza from Crust once and i was certainly impressed! The girls and I were having a night in and decided we should get some pizzas to share, we decided on their pork belly pizza(ummm yummm!) and the mediterranean lamb pizza(sensational!) Crust pizza is on the more expensive side, but what they offer is something fresh, they have healthy options and when you bite into the pizza you can actually taste all the ingredients rather than having it all blended and mixed together like your usual pizzerias. Located at the top of Parnell Rise, if you’re after homemade pizza(but don’t want the hassle of making it at home), pop into Crust and they’ll be able to sort something out for you to satisfy those taste buds of yours.

Having been suggested Crust for a few months, I reluctantly ordered as I was running on empty with potential delivery options one Sunday night. Located in Parnell, Crust seems to have a somewhat bizarre delivery zone, as I have heard of deliveries all the way to Balmoral, yet refusal to close-ish areas such as Orakei(maybe this is just dependent on demand). Anyway, my initial reluctance was due to the glossy images on the menu I was presented with, which seemed to deter me from wanting the artificial looking topping. Upon getting the pizza though, it was some of the best pizza I had experienced in a long time, with plenty of topping which looked to be great quality ingredients. They had done well as it is sometimes difficult to back up extravagant topping options, particuarly in their gourmet option, such as pork belly and duck. There seems like a huge range of options and I have had nothing but pleasant, delicious experiences so far on the 4 or 5+ times I have visited so far.
