I would like to give this place a higher review but the staff and service here is a bit outrageous. I’ve been here a number of times as the food is ok but they look at you as you arrive and I swear each time it’s like…“sigh…a customer.” Cheer up you lot!!! The pizza is good and I’ve tried a couple of the mains. Wouldn’t come here again anytime soon though as I always feel so unwelcome… talked with a few others who have had similar experiences.

Amazing old school bruschetta & pizza. The tiramisu was my favorite in years. The terrace was beautiful also. Highly recommended.

Osteria Bar Vino in Parnell Village is a quaint little place that offers the most delectable Italian sandwiches and pastries. I particularly enjoyed the BLT which had bits of crumbly porcetta and fresh herbs. I also thoroughly enjoyed the orange crème-filled cakes. Very lovely flavors and among my best food experiences in Auckland so far.

This restaurant is very spacious with a big bar area. It seems like it gets crowded, especially the bar area. The menu offers a good variety of basic Italian — antipasto, pizza, pasta, dessert. We were a large crowd so we ordered a bit of everything. Nothing was out of this world good, but nothing was bad either. Non Solo seems more like the place to be see and see other people rather than a place of outstanding food. So if you want to go somewhere that sounds and looks fancy come here, but if you want real Italian food maybe go elsewhere.

Tucked away behind the Auckland-famous Parnell Restaurant Strip, sits the hidden oasis that is Non Solo Pizza. Looking at its tiny cobbled entrance way from the Main Street you would never expect the spacious, fairy lit Italian grotto that awaits you. I can sincerely say it is one of THE most beautiful restaurant locations in Auckland. The food, whilst enjoyable, unfortunately didn’t quite deliver on the Roman Escape promise of the location. Featured below is the ‘Misto’ a selection of breads and ‘Stuzzichini’(translation: think antipasti, a series of small plates to pick and choose from). This, I must say, tasted as beautiful as it looked, the breads and dips were wonderfully flavourful and the crumbed eggplant was on point. The wood fired pizza which followed it though, was not so. We had a variety of them across the table, but found them all overly salty, which was disappointing. For main we had the Gnocchi and Beef Cheek Ragu and the Chicken and Spinach Raviloli. Both were nice, but didn’t quite blow us away. All in all not a bad experience, but not quite rave worthy either

Pasta was well undercooked, as in floury and starchy… Called the waiter, he said«sorry I’m not the cook» like it wasn’t his problem. Called the manager and she thought that it was because we didn’t like our pasta al dante when actually we don’t like our pasta raw. Service is pretty rubbish to be honest. Very snobby. Not coming back here again.

This is the second time I have been here. The first was a couple of years ago and I wasnt impressed then. The second was recently and I was less impressed than the first time. The star goes to wait staff and the décor. Cant fault that. However the food is average at best. I had the medditeraneo pizza and shared the risotto. Pizza no better than the wood fired pizza guys at the market(I would go as far as to say not as good) and the risotto was flavourless and watery. Someone else at the table ordered fries and asked for tomatoe sauce to which they were given tomato pasta paste??? If youre after good food I would not recommend this place. However if you want to meet friends for a few drinks in a nice setting then this would be a good place to meet.

Fancy place, good customer service. Amazing pizza!!! We had the«mediterraneo» pizza and it was delicious. Their dough is crispy and perfectly cooked in a wood fire oven. It’s worthy for the price specially for a date, special occasions or even a happy hour.

Every time I feel like a delicious fish dish, I head straight to Non Solo Pizza for their Market Fish. Amazing every time, without fail. Sitting in their outside area is divine in the summer, with gorgeous plants surrounding you and the sound of the water features trickling away, you almost feel like you are on holiday. The staff are incredibly well presented and treat you like royalty. I’ve been coming here with my family for a long, long time. Their extensive menu caters for all. Absolutely love this place!

Came here for my birthday because Baduzzi couldn’t fit is in. Yum! Great food, my vegetarian boyfriend messed up and accidentally ordered a pizza with meat in it… the staff were happy to take it away and whip up a vege pizza for him. The waitress asked if it was my birthday, and when my dessert came out it had a candle in it. Nice personalisation. I’m not often in Parnell but if I was, I’d go back to NSP

Quite impressed with the atmosphere in this unique pizza joint. The pizza was great; something was different about the cheese… it was tangy in a good way… maybe a New Zealand thing. A few great veggie options in both pizzas and pastas. I left more than full :)

This place gets a two just because I like the atmosphere, but that’s where the compliments end. Okay, not to be mean, the staff are quite lovely and their bathrooms are clean. The food is SO average though it brings down the whole event. I went for a long lunch with work — I was really looking forward to a delicious pasta —(the kind I would get at Delicious!!) but that wasn’t going to happen. To start, I ordered the beetroot and goat’s cheese ravioli. To be fair, the ravioli itself was lovely and the beetroot(where I could taste it) was moreish. The problem was it was completely soaked in tomato sauce which destroyed the delicate flavours of the ravioli. Such a shame, because all the ravioli itself needed was a little drizzle of truffle oil or something and it would’ve been amazing. Moving on, my main was the lamb. It was tough, dry, a little cold, and just kinda boring. There was no food envy either, as no one had anything that I wanted. The duck looked terrible, as did the eye fillet. And it was WAY overpriced. The pizzas looked okay… but then again, I didn’t try any, so it might’ve been awful. The kids who ordered them didn’t even eat it either. We stayed, we drank. We all bitched about the food. The atmosphere is lovely, and it’s a lot of fun on a Friday night, but they’ve gotta sort that food problem out. They can’t have the same menu as they had in 1998 — Auckland has got some great restaurants now and NSP needs to up its game.

Good looking staff not very nice prices and the food is alright… it was my colleagues birthday dinner and we ordered several dishes, I ordered a pizza and it was alright, the ambience was gorgeous. Not something you re really missing out on if you haven’t been here, I prefer covo ponsonby compared to this restaurant. We had a great night with workmates though.

After I visited NSP for the first time, I was asked by a few friends what I thought of the experience. I remember saying that I liked everything except the name! I’m sure I’m not the only one who didn’t know what«non solo» translates to. I walked right past this place a number of times when I simply wasn’t in the mood for pizza. The first time friends and I visited NSP, it was with a stack of restaurant vouchers that we’d been given as a thank you gift. With a good couple of hundred bucks to spend, we tucked into a huge range of what NSP had to offer. The waiter gave my bestie and I a funny look when we both ordered the Pesceti Marinati as a starter, and when it turned up I saw why. There was more than two portions of this delicious dish — bite sized fish fillets with lemon, chilli and Italian parsley — on each plate and way too much for one person! Our mains were also enormous, as well as expertly crafted, which all four diners were extremely impressed about. We left NSP completely satisfied(and ruing the fact we’d always thought it was just a pizza place).

NSP is a big restaurant, with inside tables and a garden style, covered courtyard. It was a rainy, Monday evening when I visited and no one was sitting in the courtyard. Despite this, we didn’t have to wait for a table inside at all. I’ll start by saying I had a great meal at NSP and really rated the pizza(simple salami, tomato, mozzarella and basil is tough to beat). The spaghetti pasta was also very tasty and full of flavour — the touch of walnut was a very nice addition. However, watch out for the staff asking if you’d like sparkling water. Of course it would be too good to be true, but that bottle of San Pellegrino that just got put on your table, will end up on your bill. I think it would be nice if the staff mentioned this; but now you’ll know that if you ask for a regular jug of tap water on the table you’ll be saving yourself $ 9.50.

An excellent Italian restaurant in the heart of Parnell. There’s a lovely ambience in this place and with the décor, you would be forgiven for thinking you were in central Rome. The food is the real star and everything we ate was of a very high quality. The pizza was as good as it gets in Auckland — mind you they do a very good pizza down the road in the Mink Café. We got lovely fresh bread to start with and I got the Tagiatelle with rabbit ragu for my main. I had never eaten rabbit before but I really loved the rich taste. The ice cream was very good and the whole thing delivers an authentic Italian experience. We haven’t been back in a while but just writing this review has filled me with a desire to sample those rich Italian flavours once again.

Non Solo Pizza in my experience has always proved to be ideal for larger groups. The small crowds that frequent the bar mean it is always accessible, with speedy service. The food is always delicious, with tasty Italian fare littering the menu. There is a range of areas depending on where you want to sit, from the bar at the front on the street, to the enclave behind the bar, to the alleyway leading into the restaurant, the main restaurant itself, or finally the outdoor area at the rear of the restaurant — complete with fireplace, this restaurant caters for all groups. My favourite is the seafood linguine, which I have ordered almost every time I have been there since it is so good — meaning it has actually limited my experience of the remainder of the menu.

Not only pizza. The name spells it out pretty much. They do a fantastic Italian pizza here, but then they also do a fantastic Italian pretty-much-anything. Sitting off the main road first timers to NSP are in for a pleasant surprise with two separate gorgeous dining areas; the cute Italian style courtyard and the elegant high-ceiling, mood-lit dining room. And then there’s the food. My favourites are the bruschetta, antipasti, contorni and pizzas. There are so many delicious small dishes to try I’d rather share a selection and forgo the main meal.

I have been to Non Solo Pizza for many work lunches and it always gets better and better. They know how to do food, and do it so well. My favourite is the Pork Belly which goes down brilliantly with a glass of crisp Soave. The waiters are amazing and provide great customer service. I especially like dining in their courtyard, it makes me feel like I’m actually in Italy. And if you don’t want to go for a whole massive meal, I like going there just for dessert with my girlfriends. Their sorbet and gelato is seriously, seriously good. Might have to go there tonight!
