We have been coming to PV for a month for 3 years. This is my wife’s favorite breakfast restaurant on the water. The dinners are absolutely wonderful. Shrimp, muscles, squid in a delicious sauce with spaghetti wrapped in foil is my favorite meal in Puerto Vallarta. Much better than Porto Bello

So mediocre! We started with a bruschetta that was literally on white toast. Not toasted bread like French or Italian or ciabatta. White sliced sandwich bread. The minestrone soup was good. Then we had two pizzas, a gnocchi with tomato sauce, and the beef medallion. The gnocchi was really good. Everything else was not. I had two pieces of margherita pizza and didn’t bother with it. Sauce bland, cardboard crust. Too much cheese. Bleh. The beef didn’t come with what it said on the menu and the potato slices were from frozen. Skip this place for something better.

The setting outside in the harbor is what first attracted us. We weren’t disappointed. From the delicious margarita, decent wine selection, good food and superb service, this restaurant was a winner. The best feature, though, was the music. Mario, who plays every night of the week, is simply amazing. From Billy Joel, to Elton John, to Sinatra, Santana and Eric Clapton, Mario plays the piano, guitar, harmonica, and sings. He’ll take requests too, and it would be hard to stump him. Overall, a very enjoyable experience.

Summer in PV! rain rain rain La Terraza Di Roma has been here for over 20 years putting out consistently good food(you can’t eat at Portobello every night) The thin crust pizza is very good, ask for it well done and with extra fresh basil. The chicken parm is a also a favorite.

If you want Italian food, just keep walking to Porto Bello or L’Olive Café. La Terraza is not the best around at all. They do have live music and the foccacia bread is good, thus the 3 stars instead of one. Free wifi is convenient so you can Unilocal it right there!

My wife and I ate here February 232015 and found the food very mediocre at best. we ordered and appetizer of fried calamari and the breading on the out side was not crisp and the marinara sauce was tasteless. We both had the spaghetti bolognas which tasted like the sauce was out of a bottle. They are always very crowded but I think its because the tourist are eating there for the first time.

We visit PV every winter. This restaurant has a great location on a small pier overlooking the boat harbor. It is clean and has overall nice ambiance. Usually some light electronic music. Nice wait staff-friendly and reasonable service BUT the food was really poor. The Gnocchi and pasta dishes were floury and under-cooked. Sauces were flavorless. Out of group of 6 only one person liked their dinner Oh the Caesar salad had head lettuce and a VERY light flavorless dressing with no anchovies. The spinach salad was also lacking in flavor The wines were over priced and just OK. My veal scallopine was pounded flank beef with a mystery sauce. In small print at the bottom of the menu it did say that the scallopine was beef – but why call it scallopine They also have a sports bar across the walkway-lots of loud tvs that conflicted with the pier outdoor ambiance
