Thyme Out

A friend introduced me to Thyme Out and I’ll gladly say, it stands as one of the finest food recommendations I’ve received. The appearance of this Mexican food truck doesn’t differ much in comparison to the others, yet what lies within it is pure bliss. Thyme Out serves classic Mexican dishes: nachos, tacos, quesadilla, tortillas, churros and more. The flavours that are used in the dishes are remarkably distinct, tasteful and will leave you in constant want.
If you appreciate generous portions of juicy and tender meat served with rich, otherworldly gravy and topped with fresh vegetables — you will need to give their tacos, quesadillas or tortillas a go. Customers have the option of choosing from chicken, beef and lamb (my personal favourite being the mind-​numbing lamb).
Their portions are generous and affordable, ranging from RM8 to RM20 — if this has left you salivating, track this up-​and-​coming food truck by following them on Instagram ASAP. You never know, they might be setting up somewhere near you.

At first, it was just a random food truck that caught my attention as I was hungry. As I went up to it, the guys behind the counter were cool and funny and we had a little chat before ordering. The serve mexican food like nachos, tacos, and wraps. You get a choice of Beef, Lamb, Chicken, Fish, and if my memory didn’t fail me, I think I saw soft-​shell crab?
I tried the Beef Wrap and Lamb Tacos, it was so tasty! The wrap was filled with sauces that goes so well with the spices and beef. The beef itself was very flavored and you can definitely taste the Mexico out of it. The tacos too were very delicious, each filled with greens and sauce. The lamb was made the same way the beef was, and tasted amazing.
I’ll definitely get more if I see this food truck hanging around again.

I was really excited when I saw the Thyme Out food truck parked right next The Picnic Table café. Maybe it was cause I’ve never eaten from a food truck before. The guys working there were really nice and friendly. One of them even gave us a discount voucher for 10% off! My sister and I didn’t know what to order because the churos were already sold out so the guy suggested we should try the chicken wrap + nachos combo.
The chicken wrap was extremely yummy and filling. Both my sister and I enjoyed it so much. The nachos were alright and they didn’t give us much dipping sauce/​salsa. But when we asked for more, they were really accommodating and even gave us extra nachos! Thumbs up for this food truck :)
