One of the few Korean bars around town, I’ve always wanted to try their flavored soju as I heard it was really easy to drink and taste really good. Never had the chance to try it as most of my friends told me that although soju has a lower alcohol content, they somehow ko faster than drinking normal hard liquor. Finally had the chance to try it and it does indeed taste really good, just like fruit juice. You can barely taste the alcohol in the flavored soju so it’s a good drink for those who can’t take the taste of the alcohol. For me, it wasn’t as bad as normal alcohol and in fact the feeling wasn’t as strong despite drinking quite a few shots. I guess it depends on individual differences. After trying the lemon and grapefruit flavored soju, we then decided to try the rice wine which two kettles of rice wine comes with a bottle of normal flavored soju for Rm100. Rice wine has a similar taste with whiskey although much easier to drink as there isn’t a strong burning sensation. Normal flavored soju on the other hand, taste like mild vodka. All in all, I feel that Korean drinks are pretty nice to drink although the effect to me isn’t quite as strong.
