3.5 stars based on ingredient choices, waiting time etc. I had friends visiting and they wanted to try this place. Lucky for us, we have been warned to make reservations, so we could skip the queue and saunter in. But note that they are quite strict about reservation timings, with a leeway of 15 minutes only. We still had to wait a while for our table to be ready, but at least we could sit down to wait. Once we are seated, a waiter will guide us on the ordering system and show us the cooked foods buffet area. I think we were all expecting a bit more variety to be honest, but it was limited, despite being able to order as many portions as we want. They also offer some ala-carte add ons of the month like soft shell crab, baby octopus etc. So the RM49.90++ cost actually works out to about RM60/pax after tax and green tea is added on. We had trouble cooking the first batch of food due to the high heat from the charcoal pit. The thin slices of meat quickly charred and stuck to the grill net. Lucky for us, they changed the grill nets for us and removed a couple of the charcoal briquettes which helped control the temperature tremendously. We then had an easier time cooking the ingredients. Our favourites were probably the seafood range, with scallops, prawns, salmon in the list. The time limit of 100 minutes felt constricting as it does take some time for the food to cook, so actually we could probably do up to 3 rounds of all the platters max? also, when the in-house live band started to get the mood going, we had to leave. But yes I would still make a return visit provided there’s no queue!

This place intrigued me as it seemed fun and different. Live music/shows and BBQ? Sign me up! Unfortunately there wasn’t music playing for the first 45 minutes we were there, nevertheless we enjoyed all-we-could-eat bbq meat! The buffet has all kinds of vegetable, rice and noodles dishes which are also all you can eat, but these weren’t spectacular really. When the live band finally started playing they were pretty good, playing a mix of Chinese and Engllish songs, the female singer was quite talented actually and we enjoyed her show. Go for the bbq and music at a low cost but don’t expect anything too spectacular.

Super super fun place to eat — clearly very popular with young people. I went on a Saturday for dinner and it cost RM49.90 with a 100 minutes eating time limit. You DO have to pay for drinks, though, so make sure you factor that in if you’re coming with a very specific budget. Being Muslim, I didn’t have the pork, but the beef and chicken were superb: definitely had multiple rounds! In fact, so many rounds that I ended up not having the seafood… Given how popular the place is, consider making a reservation well in advance. You might end up queueing over an hour!

Saw this restaurant from social media as a lot of people shared about this new restaurant-Rocku had opened in Pavillion. So, my bf and I decide to give a try since we ady bored of Sukiya.(*Sukiya still in our food list lol) I’m a bit frustrated as I need to queue up for 1.5 hours to reach my turn. Well, if you are first time comer, you can try to queue up but if you are regular customer I debt you won’t want to queue up for so long. When I get into the Rocku, it’s kinda attract my eyes sight. Surprisingly, it’s a very special bbq restaurant in kl area. Their interior design is well done, you can feel the japan sense in the restaurant. It’s not only sell bbq buffet but also beer as well. Therefore, the restaurant is like BBQ+ pub style. I like how they enhance their service. They even got singer sing song in the restaurant and magician to perform magic as well. It’s soooo good for enjoyed food in such environment. Now they got lunch for 39.9 and dinner 49.9 for 100 mins. Prices haven’t included gst, service charge, beverage, ice cream. It’s actually worth to give a try. You can buy time as well. 9.9 for 20 mins. The food comes with beef, pork, seafood platter, or you can order side dishes as well. I recommend for enoki, scallop(so fresh!), pork bacon, pork belly, miso soup, 毛豆 and lamb shoulder. They also served spaghetti, Japanese fried rice and other cooked food. 100 mins is definitely enough for you because I saw some people eat within 60 mins and they leave. The reason I gave four stars as I hope there are more variety of vege, fruits(ady ready to eat), free drinks and ice cream. As drink you need to pay rm3, ice cream per scoop is rm3.9. Finally, price for two adult is 120. Because of two set dinner, one green tea and 16% tax. Will I revisit? Yes, but not frequently.

Dine in at Rocku Pavilion on a Saturday for lunch. Lunch is at 39.90++ per pax and dinner is at 49.90++ with a 100 minutes eating time limit. Lovely environment and during the time we had lunch, there was a live band, both of them were great singers. They use charcoal for their BBQ and they have this ventilation around the BBQ pit which does not make the whole restaurant smokey and I don’t smell like BBQ after that. *thumbs up* Lets go to the food, the food was delicious. They have pork, beef and seafood platter. My favorite was the marinated pork. I will definitely go back for more BBQ in future, reasonable pricing and super delicious.

My mom shot me an email about a new place called Rocku in Pavilion. So we decided to give it a try. Its on the 7th Level of Pavilion which I honestly didn’t know existed. The front of the restaurant gives off a cool vibe, sort of the place that will get you looking. The lunch buffet menu starts at 11am and man was it already full. The interior was very edgy and cool, I really liked the concept of the place. There’s a stage for live performances, neon lights, and cool hip art on the walls. The staff were very attentive, kindly explaining the menu when we sat down. We ordered the usuals– beef, pork, chicken, and seafood. All these to be barbequed by yourselves with the grill in each table. The meat were very nicely marinated, especially the beef… beef was top notch. Take note there’s a 100 minute limit for each sit down, so watch it on the seafood as they take longer to cook. Again, the staff were excellent, very attentive and quick. After saying all that, one thing I was unfond of was the concept of having a live performance, and a time limit. I was just starting to enjoy the good music from a fantastic duo, when I got cut off. Urghh, I was so getting in the mood that time. I’ve only got a chance to hear a few picks from them(didn’t managed to get their names), which were good. Check out their website for what’s up and coming. Well, I will definitely come back again. Good food, good ambience, good music, and good service. Time limit cost them a star, I take enjoying my meal and music very seriously :)
