A literal coffee hide-out. I actually passed it by without noticing the for the first time, and only managed to locate it after I make a turn. One easier way to take note of the café would be to look for No. 22 — that’s right, that’s what Grind ‘22’ stands for. In fact, the entrance of the café is rather small and on the side of the boutique that’s taking up most of the entrance space for No. 22, so it might even be easier to spot the boutique first. I was there when it was rainy and to be honest, despite of the fact that I liked the environment a lot — it was windy and chilling, there were just too many mosquitoes there. So, you better have some topical balm with you when you’re there. That aside, I actually liked their coffee a lot. They do have a wide range of beverage for you to choose from, and some simple snacks and foods too. There were even some pop-up kitchens sometimes at the place. Overall, a great place to hang out and catch up with friends — only that the parking might be a bit of a headache right here.

«I found a super nice coffee place at Lorong Maarof. The barista — he looked just like any guy hired to ‘jaga’ the shop BUTNO. He is so passionate about his every cup of coffee,» my colleague bragged so much about this hidden gem at Lorong Maarof called Grind22. So one Sunday we really went there to prove his words. I can never differentiate good or bad coffee really, but I enjoyed the environment so much the moment I stepped in to the place. Come on now, not everywhere in KL you get to enjoy a cozy, breezy, and mozzies-free place without an aircond. But this café gives us these privileges. Grind22 is set up in an outdoor corner with big trees on its surroundings, giving the place the beauty of natural cooling air. We ordered their iced-mocha, cold-brewed nyonya latte(a small bottle of cold latte with gula Melaka), limonia(a small bottle of chilled, freshly squeezed lemonade and grapefruit juice), and a piece of red velvet cake. Okay, I took back my earlier statement saying that I can never differentiate good or bad coffee. Both the iced-mocha and nyonya latte were ONPOINT. They were hearty and not too sour and acidic like most coffee could be. Moreover as we drink, the barista sat down and chatted with us, effortlessly showed us how meticulous he is to craft such a beautiful cup of drink. The limonia, was so refreshing and fragrant. It was on its perfect thickness and texture. The cake was not super amazing — it was alright for a company to the fragrant beverages. I can’t really remember about the price, though I remember limonia was RM7, and I remember nothing exceeds RM12. Oh, but one thing though, if you are aiming for a café that you could just chill for hours and do your work, Grind22 is perhaps not the best choice since you would never know when it’s gonna rain or when it’s gonna be scorching hot(again, it’s an outdoor setup). Overall, it was a pleasant experience, and I can’t wait to go back there :)

Best Vanilla latte ever! It’s a cosy little hideout in the middle of buildings and offices. Just a short walk from where I work so I usually go in the mid afternoon for a coffee break. The staff are also super friendly and warm. With other substandard coffee shops around me I’m glad I found this coffee gem :)

As many of you readers might have realized, I really do love my cup of latte, and while Grind 22 does not do that very well, their other coffee choices is the reason why I like drinking caffeine down my throat in the first place. Their cappuccino is a blessing for your tongue, because it tastes heavenly. The robust taste is extremely unique in a sense that there is nowhere else that can replicate their taste. Of course, their ambience is simplistic, and very minimalistic, so it is suitable for those who like to taste coffee while enjoying dizzying yet soothing music. If you are really not a coffee type of person, this is a good place to start. If it isn’t, then where is?

I went for a coffee break with friend last week and he took me to this nice coffee shop near the office building, Menara UOA, in Bagsar. What I like about this place is the Piccolo coffee and the cappuccino which they have. Also I noticed that they have different card games which I LOVE. I found amazing when a coffee shop has different games which they give to the customers to have a great time. The price for the coffee is around 8RM and the stuff is super nice and funny. I completely recommend this coffee place for a chill & fun time with your friends

Tucked in beside the boutique Twenty2, Grind 22 fulfills your caffeine needs just as well as any other coffee shop does; albeit without the hassle of looking for a parking place. This hidden little gem may not look like much from the front but you’ll be charmed to know that behind features an alfresco seating area. Quite a change from what i’m normally accustomed to, I found myself appreciating the rustic touch it possesses. However, the downside is that the afternoon heat kept me from relaxing. A pity as I would have liked to try their coffee. Instead I had the Limonia as recommended by a staff. A refreshing alternative, something akin to a lemonade but slightly fizzy. To those planning to head there soon, might I suggest dropping by in the evening or night, to get the full benefit of what this place has to offer
