4-Stars, of course! Bak Kut Teh is one of my all-time-fave. food and while it’s a bit too far to head to Klang just for a good pot of Bak Kut Teh(we still do it sometimes, you know, just for food), I’m glad that there’s this not bad one just near my place. For all those who’re familiar with Setapak, you’d know Chuan Kee as the famous Bak Kut Teh place. But of course, do take note that they are opened from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. but closed from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Also, they are closed on alternate Mondays. So, don’t get there disappointed! Give them a ring if you’d need to make sure of it. You get to pick what you want to be included in your pot of Bak Kut Teh here, or you can even choose for yours to be served in a bowl if you don’t like the idea of it being served in a claypot. I’m myself a big fan of «spare parts» — the various organs to be included, but if you’re not someone who fancy that, remember to tell them when you’re ordering. The place is usually crowded and it’s definitely not easy to get a parking spot here, but once you’ve parked your car, the long queue in front of the restaurant wouldn’t take you too long. They do move pretty fast, so it’s still all good! Price wise, if you’re not having too many add-ons, it should be under RM20 per person, which in my opinion is pretty fair. Of course, it might differ if you can’t help but to order a lot of side dishes ;)
