My parents have been members at Kelab Darul Ehsan(KDE) ever since I was kid and so, I too enjoy member privileges till I’m 21. Having said that, I might be a little biased but can offer some insights into those considering membership — I really like swimming here and there are other facilities such as squash, badminton, ping pong, gym, sauna, steam and locker rooms — all of which are quite decent. Not too sure about golf as I don’t play it. I must admit though, that I think the maintenance of this club is very disappointing — it can be much better! However, they recently made a few changes in the locker rooms and they look much better now. I said I’m biased because I think the guest prices are really expensive — so their reviews would be very different. For example, swimming per entry is RM50 on weekdays and RM70 on weekends — and they must be accompanied by members. Granted, this is probably one of their ways to keep it more exclusive for their members. Nevertheless, I still enjoy going here from time to time to just chill — mostly because I am a member and it’s free for me. Hopefully, things will get better in the near future!

KDE isnt as much fun as how it used to be when i was younger. I think their facilities and standards has gone down throughout the years. Their club house used to have the best poolside menu and i would enjoy my weekends by the pool here. but not so much anymore in the last 5 years. In fact i have stopped coming here completely because it disappoints me all the time. The karaōke bar isnt that great too. they have not update their list to the current songs and their charges are a little too expensive for what it is. However their golf course seems to still be okay, i know because my mom plays golf and she claims that, thats the only thing thats keeping KDE together. Its a shame that it is what it is, otherwise it would definitely be nice to have a club to go to.

Since I broke my ligaments, the doctor advised me not to play some heavy sports. So golf is one of the sports that aren’t heavy. This place is the first golf course that I ever visited with my late uncle who taught me a lot about golf. It’s not considered one of the best golf range in the nation but for a non-pro player like me, it will do. As for the club house, there are so many facilities provided. The gymnasium, swimming pools and even sauna. I could see some wedding ceremonies also were held here. Must be of the environment. As for me, I can’t say that I truly loves the surrounding but seeing monkeys ad wild boars running around on the gold course are quite excite me.
