Lovely restaurant with beautiful food. Starters & mains were absolutely delicious. Service was only ok. My only gripe was that the naan breads were more like chapatis, which were lovely mind.

I’ve passed by Jaipur many a times. I’ve never given it a second look as it always looked empty… The location is less than ideal as its on George’s street where the element takes away from the modern, elegant ambiance they are trying very hard to portray. Especially as the restaurant is surrounded by windows you can witness all sorts of um people that you might not want to while having a nice meal. One thing I hated was the ladies room is upstairs on these windy stairs in the middle of the restaurant. God help the girl wearing a short skirt… They have a value meal up until 7pm € 21 of a combination starter so you get to try a bit of everything which I thought was a brill idea. I wasn’t too impressed with the vegetarian option… the lamb kebab was a bit tough. but their chicken was super duper tender. I got the prawn jalfrezi which was ok… I asked for it super spicy and they delivered on that part. But the prawns themselves were soooo salty. The dish was overall ok but not great. I wouldn’t go running back… Sorry Jaipur, I was a little disappointed! Service was efficient though and won’t get any complaints from me!

This place is amazing. They are clearly Michelin recommended for a reason: great food. I do understand this place is a little expensive but it’s not that high unless you plan on wine in which case complaints about food being expensive are already out the window. I can understand it’s high for indian food but this is more gourmet and less fast food. That said, the food here is some of the best Indian food I have had across two continents. That is no joke. This may not be Michelin star fancy and I’m glad because it would have been twice as expensive. Two appetizers, two dinners and a dessert ran € 69 or about $ 90USD. So lets get down to business. Starter was great, the tomato and mango sauces had nice spice and the papadam was nice and soft. The appetizers were amazing. The tandoori portobello appetizer was an east meets west: goat cheese and rocket combined with a portobello mushroom that had chickpea flour and spices. The sambuka(aka sadosa/samosa) was excellent and very artistically done. The chef clearly put some effort into presentation. Meals themselves were amazing. Chili cheese naan was an excellent complement to the paneer jalfrezie and saag paneer dishes my wife and I got. The paneer jalfrezie was awesome, packing decent heat with a little bit of an eggplant(aubergine) flavor. Basically like an indian spiced ratatouille. Loved it. The saag paneer included nice soft paneer that wasn’t bitter at all, and they added pomegranate seeds to it. Dessert was fancy, the Bibici was like something you would expect at a Michelin restaurant with the melted sugar. If you want good indian food, truly good indian food, come here.

Six of us visited Jaipur. The food and service was excellent. Value for money was not. Our bill was € 354(€ 60 each) for an Indian meal. We had 3 bottles of wine at the table. We often eat at the Ongar one and prices there seem more reasonable. Service could not be faulted. Attentive and friendly.

Jaipur is a funny old place, The food is good — really good — always; I have never had a bad meal there. I have however, had bad service, cramped dining and an overall uncomfortable experience — several times in fact, … also, they wouldn’t know their arse from their elbow when it comes to wine. Yet, I go back. Because as I said, the food really is very good.

Absolutely amazing. Super attentive and friendly staff. Incredibly tasty food. Left us eating til our plates were empty even though we were full long before. The early bird menu is quite a nice selection and a great value. Favourite menu items: vegetable dumpling korma and chili cheese naan. Oh yea!

I gave this place 4 stars because of the atmosphere. I would consider it a nice restaurant. Has a nice ambiance and feels like a fancy place. But at the end of the day, you are paying quite a bit for Indian food. Which if you walked around the corner could be had for half the price. That being said, the food was good… but I don’t know if it was 25 euro good for chicken tika masala. I’ve had just as good food on South William Street or some of the surrounding areas. Overall, it was a good experience, but probably won’t be a frequent customer due to the price.

I came in for dinner last night and ordered Chicken Korma, a mango lassi, rice, and some missi roti(bread). The service was attentive, quick, and kind. The décor had a modern vibe with warm hues of reds, yellows, and oranges. My only criticism is the quality of food for the price. I found the korma sauce somewhat bland and without any heat whatsoever. I am used to eating hot curries made with fresh, vibrant spices but this curry just seemed underwhelming. The chicken had a grilled flavour to it, which was nice. Nevertheless, the meal certainly wasn’t worth the 30 Euro+tip I paid for it(the korma alone was 20 Euros. For that price I expect to be blown away by flavour). I do love Indian food, though, so if I am ever back in Dublin I may give Jaipur another chance.

A regular stop for me on trips to Dublin, in part due to the friendly, accommodating staff but also due to the fresh take on Indian. A little pricey, but the atmosphere and food are worth it. Try chicken satay appetizer and the clay pot lamb.

Can only agree with Jeremy. This isn’t the type of curry house you find in Germany either and we should be thankful for it. Great food that goes against your expectations of what Indian food is as it doesn’t have that same mix of dishes and meats you expect to encounter. Starters are huge so share one between two. Book in advance just in case.
