Oh man, why are the reviews so low for this place? I always enjoy whatever I get. I’ve had the BBQ burger often, with BBQ sauce and onion strings and also the burger with the fried egg on top. The steak tips are perfect, not chewy at all, cooked just right. And the new haddock dish with the kettle chips, umm, amazing. It comes on what I think is slightly cheesy risotto(memory is failing me) and sauteed spinach or something, so it satisfies the need to have something green on your plate, which sometimes I like if I’ve been eating super unhealthy. The haddock has this perfect crispy layer on the outside. I go here often with friends and have never been disappointed. The staff is also very nice and friendly. Definitely looking forward to my next round of steak tips. They have outdoor seating, which I will be taking advantage of now that its warmer. My new favorite drink is the Tangerine Drop, but I also like their Chardonnay, if I’m trying to avoid heartburn haha

Go there about once a week. Always get the Thai chicken wings and either an entrée or a sandwich. I have always had a great experience. Do yourself a favor and get the real wings they are possibly the best wings anywhere. Great specialty drinks. Wait staff are terrific even on a busy Friday evening.

It’s expensive but the food is awesome. I had the fish tacos and they were delicious. Service was solid and their bar looks like it would be packed at night. I went for lunch and we sat outside. Come to this place if you are looking for some solid food and good atmosphere. I can imagine this place having a big crowd so plan accordingly.

This past weekend we began celebrating our daughter’s wedding with a backyard rehearsal dinner catered by Red Heat Tavern. From the presentation, to the service, and of course the food, Red Heat Tavern and its staff exceeded our expectations. The catering service provided by Red Heat allowed my daughter to walk into the day stress free. They took care of all of the set up, and decorated each table beautifully. They prepared the food atop of burning charcoal, giving the food the smoky flavor that everyone couldn’t get enough of. The steak tips and ribs we’re incredibly tender and delicious. My family and friends had an incredible time, full of laughs and great food and drink. The staff was welcoming and friendly and became part of our celebration. I would strongly recommend Red Heat Tavern and their catering services for your next big event !

Just stopped here randomly on my way home… sat at the bar, had a Cantinarita, and a combo plate of boneless wings as recommended by the bartender. The drink was good. The wings were really really good. The buffalo style was smoky and had incredible flavor. It was served with blue cheese dressing that was just chunky enough and tasted definitely housemade. The sweet thai-style wings with sriracha aioli were also excellent. Sweet and spicy and just right. Both were above average for sure. I will be back:)

Went there last night as we are trying to get some new restaurants into our rotation. I am so glad we did. The restaurant can be whatever you want it to be. A sports bar, yes. A place to bring the family for dinner, yes. Appetizers and a few drinks, yes. My wife had the Château steak and it was so tender and flavorful. Her sides were the grilled Brussel sprouts and jumbo tater tots. The sprouts were to die for but the jumbo tater tots were not hot and very greasy. I had the classic burger which came with lettuce, tomato and plenty of hot French fries. I love good burgers and this was one of the best I have ever had in a restaurant. The drink service was spot on. Jonathan our waiter was a delight providing great menu advice and non intrusive service. We will be back for sure.

I’ve had better ribs, but based on the entire experience, I’d pick this place over others. My wife and I split an order of ribs, ordering sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. She loves crispy fries, but forgot to order them that way. They came out crispy! «These are the best I’ve ever had,» she said. The bbq sauce was delicious. We ordered small Caesar salads, and these had more parmesan cheese than I’ve ever had on a salad. Delicious. The iced tea was served in a large glass. The waitress(Kate) was friendly and efficient. We’ll be back!

First time visitor to the heat… Sat at the bar last night, 7:50…about 10 minutes later, greeted by bartender who took our drink order and gave us menus… drinks were good but she never came back to take our order. She was working with one other but they never came over. My drink was finished 15 minutes later, we had menus in front of us… she walked by twice. We both left hungry and thirsty — total wait time 40 minutes. Bar was 2⁄3 full — restaurant was about the same. Not sure if this was just an ‘off’ night for them, but we unfortunately, won’t be back…

Better than average pub grub. Everything is quite fresh and very tasty. We had the poutine, easily the best thing that we tried, boneless wings(both the sweet teriyaki and buffalo), and the meatloaf sandwich. The wings were solid, but not as legendary as everyone is making them out to be. The meatloaf sandwich was very good: fresh and flavorful. As I said, the poutine was out-of-this-world. It comes with deliciously smokey brisket piled on top. This is definitely a dish worth driving to! We finished off with the deep dish cookie for dessert, which was marvelous, but super heavy. You could split this amongst four people easily. I should also mention that the tavern has a good, not brilliant draft list. Usual suspects are there: Harpoon, Sam, and some other locals. You won’t find a lot of different beers here, again just your average MA tap selection. Lastly, our server was great. Super-friendly and helpful. Overall, A pleasant surprise in Wilmington!

Service was good, nice beer list. The food could have been better though. I like my burgers rare, so as this was an unfamiliar restaurant I asked the server if they would cook my burger rare, almost mooing, or if I should just order something else if they had some requirement to(over) cook the burgers to medium. She cheerfully told me the kitchen excels at cooking burgers rare, and this would not be any problem. Received my burger and it was cooked medium well. There was the faintest hint of pink in the middle, else brown throughout. It tasted OK so I didnt make a fuss when she asked if it was OK, but I was expecting a better experience.

Great little tavern with friendly service. Four stars! My wife, toddler, and I went a little before 6 on a Friday night — it was busy, but we got right in. Any later than that, we would have had to wait for a bit. The kid’s menu is a highlight — a main, three sides, a dipping sauce, and a drink for $ 6.99. It’s always challenging to get our picky little gal to eat when we’re out, but she did pretty well. My wife and I got the BBQ burger and the Asian wrap(both were tasty and good-sized portions) and a couple adult beverages. All that for $ 60, including tip. Our waitress, Kimmy, I think, was attentive and warm. We saw her often and she even changed the channel on the bar TV for us.(Who watches hockey during March Madness?! Come on!) We left full, satisfied, and looking forward to our next trip!

Yum yum yum. What a fun and unique afternoon spot. Hubby, baby & I stopped by this afternoon after a few open houses. We needed a place to collect our thoughts and this was perfect. It’s a chain pub kind of feel like a TGI Friday’s or Applebee’s. The sound system was great even on a Sunday afternoon and I can imagine this place gets busy on a weekend evening. The food was delicious. We loved the extensive menu. So many options including vegetarian and gluten free. I’m not either but appreciate a GREAT veggie burger and love options so I was pleased. While the menu was extensive, it wasn’t overwhelming which I also appreciate. The sandwich section was entitled«between bread» which is so cute. For our meal we had the bayou shrimp. Nutty, garlicky, buttery goodness with a hint of Cajun that smothered the shrimp as an app. $ 10 for 4 jumbo shrimp with that flavor wasn’t bad at all. For lunch I had the stuffed peppers and added jalapeños. I liked it a lot. Stuffed red peppers with rice and beans, corn and more. Yummy. Flavorful. The arugula salad was amazing. My hubby had chicken and gravy. He loved his dish and said his only complaint was how heavy it was as it was lunchtime. Overall great spot!

Awesome place. Friendly staff. Guinness was on tap to my delight. It was cold and smooth. There were 12 of us and there were no complaints. I had the creole chicken & corn soup. Very nice. Had a kick to it but not too overwhelming. I had the turkey wrap for dinner and it was delicious. The crispy bacon added texture and flavor.

Quick stop post-healthy food store run to have a second lunch. So fat. I’ve been here for group lunches before and I love the huge open room and centered bar. It’s a great space. We sat at the bar and ordered some drinks and the buffalo wings and pretzels with beer cheese dip. The buffalo wings were yummy, super smokey and had a little kick. The pretzels were oily and soft pillows of dough and the beer cheese dip was so good that you could eat it with a spoon. God why am I so fat. Totally recommend these two appetizers and I’ve heard great things about the sweet potato fries too. Overall a good pick for a lunch or post-work drink. Close to 93 and casual environment. Service at the bar is just okay but they were nice.

One of the best bars(among the few) in the Reading area. This place is right around the corner of my house and is in our most frequented bars list. The service is great, drinks are good with a seasonally rotating menu and the food is tasty. I would highly recommend their chicken wings with Buffalo sauce. I reserved one of the Star’s in my rating for their highly volatile cocktails. One time you get a perfect mojito and in one of those not-so-lucky days you have to struggle with a limey one.

Was in the area for the Bride expo at the Shriner’s Auditorium and that really got our group hungry. Bride to be’s fiancée recommended that we stop by to eat at the place. Friend recommended that we get the smoked mesquite wings — thai chili style. I’m a big lover of wings and these were an eye opener for meeee. There was so much flavor from the wings and you can tell it’s not some defrosted wing they’re serving to us. Great flavor and the spicy mayo sauce was a nice touch. I went ahead and ordered the fish tacos which were a bit disappointing. The wings really set the standard and I was expecting more flavor with my tacos. The fish portion was generous but the flavor(cojita cheese, mango salsa) whatttt happened? If they uped the flavor, it would have been an amazing dish. I was really impressed by the wings as you can see so I would like to come back and give the other dishes a try. Overall, the atmosphere and serving staff is really nice and welcoming.

This is our 3rd time here … the last time I said it would be our last but I received a birthday free appetizer from them so we thought we’d try it again. Friends have come here and have said good things. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 4 pm and it wasn’t very busy. About ½ dozen people around the bar and the same amount seated around the restaurant. We opted to sit in the high booths near the bar to be able to watch the football game. We were given menus by our hostess and waiters kept walking past us … none of them stopped. About 10 minutes later my husband had to go to the hostess station to inquire if our table had a waiter. It took another few minutes before a waitress came along. We’re unsure if she was busy or just didn’t know if she was assigned our table. No explanation … just«sorry it took so long». We ordered the nachos for our appetizer and water for drinks. It took another 10 minutes for the appetizer to arrive then ordered our entrees. Me, the Asian salad with grilled salmon and the hubby, the steak and ribs combo with a side of fries and cole slaw. Our entrees arrived right as we were finishing our appetizer and although the food was good(3 ribs melt in your mouth and about 3 very tender and flavorful steak tips cooked to perfection) the service is still lacking. Our waitress did walk by several times to see how we were doing but the enjoyment of our meal was ruined by the bad start. On our way out the door, a hostess was standing at the station and just watched us walk out… no «thank you» «goodbye» «come again».

Good casual local place to grab a decent bite. Whenever I go here the place is always hopping — bar, tables everything is always busy but the wait is never as long as they predict. Even on a Saturday night I’ve been seated in 10 – 20 minutes. The menu is fairly diverse with sandwiches, burgers, typical comfort entrees like meatloaf. Its your typical pub type food. I’m a big fan of the beer braised meatballs and the pulled pork mac and cheese. The salads always look good but I have not yet had one— maybe next time. The staff is super friendly and the food comes out fast. I want to give them more stars but nothing overly impresses me. Its about a 3.5. They have tacos and trivia on Tuesdays… perhaps after I’ve had a chance to give that a try it will up the stars

Great Service, okay food. My wife and I went for dinner on a Tuesday around 6pm. It was trivia night, a lot of great energy, place was packed. Our server was new at the job, but did an excellent job throughout the whole night. Very nice, quick and had a great personality. Service was the highlight of the night. The beer/wine menu was good. I tried the Kentucky Bourbon Ale, and the Southern Tier IPA(both were awesome!), my wife had Sauvignon Blanc. They had taco’s for a special appetizer, we tried both the buffalo chicken, and the fried cod fish. Both were good, but nothing special, we weren’t a fan of the soft taco shells. My wife ordered the sweet and smokey chicken sandwich with a side of sweet potato fries. I chose the Josper Fire Ribs, which came with coleslaw, and substituted fries for their Mac and cheese. Food came out at a good time, about 15 minutes. My wife’s sandwich had an odd flavor, not that the food was spoiled, but it was more of the seasoning they use for the chicken, almost tasted like a Jamaican rub. Didn’t blend well, I wasn’t a fan either. The sweet potato fries, were homemade, freshly cooked and delicious. My Ribs were also excellent. Meat came right off the bone, great flavor, and the mac and cheese was fantastic. The coleslaw that came with it was okay, bland at best. If they added a little more of the sauce for it, it would have been good. We’ll definitely be back. The menu has enough variety to keep us interested and they have live music on Thursdays. The service was really good as well.
