This place should not offer to cook your burger medium rare, my burger was so over cooked going to bring to TD tonight so bruins can use in the game. Our waitress Jessica was great and she took care of us, Management did correct thing and took it off our bill. They also said they were going to give me a burger to take home and that a manager was personally making sure it was cooked correctly. When we got home 5 minute ride, burger was so hard and overlooked I could skip in on water ten times. It went into trash, please fix this as I am tired of driving to 4 corners to eat. On the plus side waitress gets a 10 for service, my wife enjoyed her fish dish sad it was awesome.

A 99 is a 99 but there are just some that are better than others. This is one of the better 99s I’ve visited. The interior is bright and clean and the bar is not overly separated from the main dining area so you can actually sit at a table and still watch a game. Same food– no comments there. Good service. Thursday is trivia at this location and it was surprisingly fun. I had no plans to stay the entire time but became interested in the game and ordered another drink or two to get to the end!

After a long day at my father in law’s wake, my husband and I were drained, exhausted and starving. There aren’t many choices in Wilmington at nine-thirty on a Tuesday night, so we decided to eat at the nines-the take out has always been consistently good. We were quickly seated by a cheerful, attentive waitress and got our food hot and fast considering the hour. My fish tacos were delicious and my husband’s hamburger was perfect, as usual. They even didn’t bat an eye when we just got a dessert for our daughter, as she had eaten earlier. As usual, the Ninety Nines does not disappoint.

My Aunt was in town and wanted seafood. So we stopped at this location. Being open on an important holiday, and the waitress so nice. I surely will visit again.
We believe in giving places a fair try because everyone has an off night or something. Though we’re a fan of the 99, this location leaves a lot to be desired. I’ve received a fish dish that was raw in the middle, my boyfriend got a hamburger that tasted like fish, and the drinks were awful. My salad was good — I’d only order that there if I went back, and I’d only order a beer or wine and not a mixed drink. Service was fine, and they have a nice bar area, so maybe that’s the best area to hang out. Not impressed with the restaurant, unfortunately. Haven’t been there in a few years now — maybe I should try it again?

Great fish and chips and drinks here. This was always one of the local spots when living here, now missing it terribly. You know you can always count on consistent, good food, with great staff.

Great place for casual dining. I went there with my husband and son. He had the lobster roll and I had the seafood sampler. The baked clam was great, and so was the fried schrod. We’ll be back!

Great people, good food and great portion size. They are even willing to adapt to special diets at no cost… Great prices and good beer! what else can be said

Service was quick, but quality of food was poor. I understand it’s meant to be a quick and cheap type restaurant but this time the food was awful. My chicken was fatty and chewy, same goes for my steak. My fries were as soggy as gets. I hate to say this, but a waste of money in my opinion!

My usual bar slash turkey tip fix. Seriously the turkey tips are really good. If you come to the bar on Thursday sit on the right side where Paul the bar tender is the top dog. Service is his style.

I had a giftcard to use, so this is the only reason I got take-out for myself and my husband. We thought we would just get apps, but after looking over the menu, with such limited and boring choices(wings/nachos/chicken tenders, etc.), we figured we would order entrees. Hubby got the«signature» NY strip sirloin with baked potato and broccoli. I got the prime rib, also with the same sides. When we pulled up to the curbside, the girl came out and told me the prime rib is not cooked medium rare(which is how I ordered it), but medium, and would that be ok? I said that would be fine. We got home, and when I looked at the prime rib, I immediately thought something was wrong. I mean, it was oval shaped and the outside of the meat had some sort of thick casing on it. Crazy!!! I had recently seen a video of «glued meat», which is a process where different cuts of meat are«glued» together and passed off as something else. I don’t know what cut of meat the 99 was offering, but I know what prime rib looks and tastes like, and this wasn’t it! Hubby’s steak was ok, nothing to rave about. On the tough side. The best part of the meal was the baked potato. Seriously. Several years ago, 99 restaurants were probably one of the better chains around. Now, I don’t see myself ever eating there again.

4 stars for 50 cent wings and $ 2 drink specials on Thursdays. Bartender was nice, beer was cold and wings were delicious. We will be back.

Honey BBQ chicken wrap was very good. Steak tips were asked for med they came very well. I’m sure they would have replaced no problem but we just asked for extra juice. Waitress was nice. We went on New Year’s Eve specifically bc one member of our party was craving the stuffed shrimp special and they ran out for the 4th year year in a row. It was only 8:30pm if their going to have a special they should get enough in so they actually have it.

My wife and I have been eating at the 99 in Wilmington for years. Of course they have changed the menu often and redid the décor but it’s always been a friendly place for a quick meal. The manager knows us and if she is at the door will seat us at our favourite booth, #41. The food is always good, the prices reasonable and the service very attentive. Our server Beth arrived and took drink orders, gave us menus and told us about the new specials. Most of the time, we listen politely but then order our regular choices. Although it was passed 4PM, Beth said we could still order off the lunch menu. She then quickly returned with our drinks, popcorn and took our meal order. My wife always orders the Baked Scrod with mash potatoes and I just love the Cod BLT with a side of corn. I also ordered the Vegetable Beef Soup and my wife ordered the Creamy Seafood Chowder. The soup was quite tasty and my wife says the chowder can’t be beat. Since I am on a low carb diet, I removed the bun from my Cod BLT and just ate the ingredients as an entrée with salad. The cod was flaky and done just right. My wife had the baked scrod which she never finishes and the extra piece always ends on my plate. Her side of garlic mashed potatoes were seasoned just right and tasted like real potatoes and not boxed. I have had many of the other choices off the menu(beef, fish, pork and seafood) and they have always been cooked just right and tasty. Although the prices have increased lately, the portion size is good and the service is friendly which will probably keep me coming back for a few more years.

I had good service. Under cooking food… not good. You shouldn’t cook chicken wrong, you can kill someone. An under cooked burger, you’ll live. The 99 is not a restaurant anymore. It’s a bland menu with an identity crisis with food that looks like it’s held in hot holding units like burger king. Do they still have the mug beer? Yes! But I can get a beer any where. I ended up being sick… What happen to the 99? I was a customer since I was a young boy. Under cooking food means I don’t go to there anymore. If I had mug’s and under cooked food… I could be a multi-million dollar restaurant chain. Where do I sign up?

Over-all, the 99 is a good place to eat. The Wilmington 99 has it’s problems. I have been coming here 1 – 2 times a week for years, and they just can’t get it right. If I ask for a well-done burger, that’s how I want it, and I will bring it back EVERY time that it’s not right. I have had so many free meal cards given to me because they can’t make a well –done burger that I’ve lost count… at least 8 times in the last 2 years. Ya, they will do everything to make it up to you, but you’d think that they’d do something to correct the problem. They are running out of excuses with me.

This is literally a place I can’t believe I don’t come here more. Food is great. Prices are great and they have bud light lime.

I CANNOT believe I am writing a review of the 99! But I just really have to. Today I had a Cobb salad there that was outstanding! Im not kidding folks. They grilled plum tomatoes, and had some al dente cooked asparagus on top that was so yummy I was temped to see if I could order a plate of it! The ratio of blue cheese, to chicken to egg was perfect. They also have a unique dressing that I didn’t think I would like but it had this chipole taste with a little bite to it that went perfect with the fresh greens and toppings. Im still amazed I just wrote a review for the 99 but I challenge anyone to go and order this salad and not think its great!

You’ll never beat the 99 for solid burgers all of the time… well, that used to be true until they changed their buns. The change in atmosphere here seemed to signal a lesser quality of food, beef in particular. I used to love pretty much everything on their menu. They serve a wonderful Salmon on a Plank now, but I would be hard pressed to say anything good about much of anything else on their menu. On an upbeat note, Linda and Paul at the bar are great. They really know what service means. Sadly, it goes the other way with one of the other bartenders(Sue). She is unattentive and surly on occasion. All in all, if you’re looking for a really cold beer and some okay hot fever wings, hit the 99 up. Otherwise, keep driving north to Rocco’s for a far better meal.
