I’m a 22 year old UCLA student. Raquel has been cutting my hair now for about four years and she does a phenomenal job. Not only is she extremely talented at what she does, she is also an amazing, hilarious person. If you are looking for a great haircut at a reasonable price, Raquel is your girl.

Best hair studio in West LA right here! This is probably a pretty common theme here, but I have been going to Raquel for about 5 years now, and I won’t let anyone else touch my hair. I’ve sent friends her way and they Her attention to detail is instantly noticed when she creates a notecard for each customer on their first visit which she still keeps and updates on the specifics of each visit. She makes scheduling very easy and is always flexible. Also she’s just a great person to talk to and to get to know, so If you are reading this trying to decide where to get your haircut, you can stop your search now because Raquel is the best.

I am a male in my 20s and just went to Studio One Eleven last week.
Raquel is great. I’ve spent the past two years looking for a good hair stylist in Westwood to schedule regular appointments with, and I’ve found her.
What sets Raquel apart from the rest is not her friendliness and down-​to-​earth personality (though these are definitely perks), but rather her attention to detail. Specifically, she goes to great lengths (pun intended) to make sure that you get the hair cut you are looking for. I’ve noticed that it’s typical for stylists to periodically ask «Is this the right length?» Etc. Raquel, however, really makes sure, throughout the entire process, that you’re getting the cut you want. She asks for feedback, and rather than a yes-​or-​no «Long enough?» she strategizes with you about your look.
Will definitely return.
ALSO, I found out that she has a student discount of $ 10 (but not on Saturdays.)

Raquel is really chill and she’s really got skills and the heart to give you that haircut you want! She is patient and will work the details with you. I was here to get a hair cut like early Mike Tyson, and she delivered! Great service!

I came in with a picture of Bradley Cooper and Raquel immediately went to work and voila — well, I still look like me, but me with an awesome haircut!
Raquel listens to what I want but when it’s dumb or doesn’t make sense she’s honest and direct. She gives great haircuts with a lot of attention to detail, and as an added bonus she’s hysterical and sweet and fun and great to talk to. I have been going to her for years now (don’t make me count) and I highly recommend her.

I was just in LA on a trip but I needed a haircut. Raquel at studio one eleven had excellent Unilocal reviews and was nearby so I made an appointment with her. It was truly the best overall haircut experience I’ve ever had. Her studio set up is great and makes you feel comfortable right away. We had a great conversation the whole time and not a second of it felt awkward like it sometimes does other places where I get my hair cut. She asked me what I wanted to do with my hair and executed it as well as I’ve ever seen. She was meticulous while fading and texturizing my hair without being slow. I got all sorts of tips from her about how to style my hair that were really helpful. As if the amazing haircut wasn’t enough, I also found out that she’s a big fan of the show Portlandia, which gives her lots of bonus points in my book. And all of this was for an affordable price. I just wish Raquel were in Boston instead of LA so I could have her cut my hair regularly. If I lived in LA, I wouldn’t even think about ever going to anyone else.

Not only for men. I just had a fantastic haircut there. I have fine hair so I usually never love my haircuts but Raquel did some light layering and kept to the length that I wanted and my hair looks fantastic. What a find!
I want to try her with my color next time.

Raquel is hands down the best mens hair stylist I have had. Until Raquel I had never had someone that I consistently went to. She has created a great low key vibe. It is a private studio so you don’t have to try to talk over anyone else or worry that their listening to your life details or have to hear theirs. She is genuine, kind, and very talented. I recommend her to everyone I know. Most importantly she cuts exactly what you want or can help you find what looks good if you’re looking for something new. Her hair cuts are amazing and the whole experience is so easy. The best part is I just text her to see when she’s available and she is so responsive! Try her!

Raquel is the best, and she’s spoiled me for all other stylists! I used to make appointments with her at the big shop in West Los Angeles, and now she’s got a great new setup in Westwood Village. The décor and music reflect Raquel’s fun personality. She really takes the time to get to know you, as well as your hair, and the cut itself is always perfect.

This was my first time stepping into this place, and boy was it sweet! The room was very relaxing and Raquel cut my hair exactly as I asked. She has perfected her craft and shows it.

Raquel is damn near the perfect barber not only does she cut hair like a champion but she always is having a great time! Not many barbers are as awesome and honest as Raquel. Raquel is freaking awesome. She’s funny, the place is well kept, you can reserve times online, and the parking is validated, but most importantly, she gives a great cut! I don’t even have to tell her what I need anymore; she just gets it right every single time. Throw in the free beer and she has a customer for life!

I have been going to Raquel for three years and would not trust anyone else with my haircut. She regularly listens to my five minute power point presentations about what I want my hair to look like and then translates that into an actionable plan for a haircut. She has been a great friend to myself and my domestic partner Jack Bowwower and I look forward to seeing her every two to three weeks to tame my Jewnicorn (the front of my hair gets long and pointy and I am a Jew = Jewnicorn). 10 out of 5 stars!

So I have gone to Raquel for years while she was working at Floyd’s 99, and I had no second thoughts about following her to her new digs at studio one eleven. Before Raquel I had bounced around to lots of different stylists, sometimes paying up to 50 bucks for a haircut, but I have never found someone with such a great combination of skill, personality and reasonable price until I found Raquel. Sooo much better than a supercuts or other chain, she takes her time and makes sure you come out looking great, and does it all for $ 25. And, beer with a cut?! Awesome. I won’t go anywhere else, and I can’t recommend her highly enough.
