Waited for almost 10 minutes for an iced tea. They weren’t busy at all, and all I could see were 3 people standing around inside talking. I just left. As I was walking back to the car, I saw an employee walk out with my iced tea looking for me, but it was to late at that point.

This particular Sonic, is a staple to my family. We live in West. The staff is always friendly, mostly teenagers. How can you go wrong with West High School students. I love my Sonic and my town

This particular location was really friendly and fast about service. You really can’t go wrong in getting a nice cold slush on a drive up or down to and from Austin! Gosh I love their slushies! Addictive.

My expectations of a Sonic stop along our lengthy I35 trips is high. We are talking a franchised fast food operation, run by tried and true Texan high school kids. There is something special about that. Makes me want to wear a letter jacket and listen to country music. Maybe there are football players who look more like late 1990’s movie stars and girls who venture into the big city to buy prom dresses. It’s all very romantic, these small Texas towns we drive through between Dallas and SA. We treated ourselves to a grilled cheese and french fries, requesting the grilled cheese be served without butter. However, it arrived without having been grilled at all which allowed for the Texas toast Sonic is known for to be recognized as nothing but cheap, thick white bread. The day had been quite rainy but the early afternoon proved to be lovely with blue skies and a warm sunshine but the chairs on the front patio of Sonic were still wet and leaned against the tables. A simple wipe down with a towel was all that was required, yet that had not been taken care of and we had to change our plans to eat outside with the dog and baby. The restroom was out of order, which was an inconvenience. The staff replied«someone shoved a bunch of paper towels down the can», a rival high school perhaps? I can only dream.
