Ehhhh, it was alright. Not great. Not«bad.» Nothing to write home about. But, I like Williams Chicken(DFW area) much better.

I love the flavor of the food, however this location must be ran by young people who fail to realize who actually pays their wages! At least five out of the fifteen and probably more tables were filthy. Three employees were leaning against the wall and just bullshitting. I can understand if the place was packed full of customers but I am only one! The floor could use a good scrubbing. Watching them clean the table I observed them cleaning the trays at the counter where the food is purchased do you anyway the actually clean the trays was just wiping them off I’m not sure but I don’t think it’s very sanitary they probably need a good scrubbing they probably haven’t been scrubbed for the last five years or however long this place is been in existence! I will never ever step foot in this location ever again!!! Absolutely disgusting!

I love bushes however there’s nothing I love about the bushes in West Texas. There food is never fresh and when you ask for fresh food they give you mean looks and just reheat the old stuff. I have seen flies and also the employees are all young children who are disrespectful including the managers. I don’t recommend this place at all

Was given the wrong food, when I asked for it to be corrected I was given my money back & asked not to return by the child manager.

I hate to write anything negative about any place in this community, due to the fact that their dealing with such a horrific tragedy. But I’ve eaten here before and didn’t think it was horrible by any means. Tis the reason why I came here again. For starters on this visit, after sitting down with my food, I realized that I’d forgotten our drinks. While waiting at the counter, there was an employee standing behind the counter trying to keep a heard of flies from landing on the biscuits. I say trying because I saw several flies actually make contact with the biscuits. I guess this could happen any where. Fine… Then, to make matters worst, another employee who I will describe as a young white female, blond hair, with a tattoo behind her right ear, was eating french fries out of the french fry warmer. Now to clarify, she wasn’t using her hands, but she would use a pair of tongs to take the fries out of the warmer, and place them on the counter. She then would pick the fries up from the counter, and start eating away like it was no big deal. Disgusting… I’m not sure if there was a manager on duty, because none of the employees looked a day over 18. I think I’ll be avoiding this place in the future.

I am assuming this is the same ownership as the Bush Chicken in Waco where we have eaten for many years. The chicken and menu looked the same. I like to have the ability to ordered exactly the piece of chicken that I can recognize and here when I order a chicken breast that is what is served me not some unrecognizable piece of white meat. The chicken is fried just the way we like it hot and moist and not dried out. This place is really very informal with most people picking up the chicken and eating with the fingers. Prices we felt are most reasonable especially for the specific pieces we always ordered.

My casual stop whenever i get on the i-35e. Conveniently located next to Czech Stop, Bush’s chicken has good chicken tenders and sweet tea. Very affordable and comparable to the Golden Chick or Chicken Express. Be sure to spice your chicken with the Serendipity Seasoning and hot sauce. It’s nice

Stopped her because the Czech stop next door was packed, and I didnt want to wait in line. Image the ghetto chicken place thats in Grand Theft Auto: San Andres combined with a 1960’s café in the deep south and you have the atmosphere of Bush’s Chicken. Over priced, gross fast food. However; The one plus was the flat screen TV mounted to the wall allowing me to watch the Cowboys game. So not all bad.

After seeing several Bush’s Chicken along I-35, I finally decided to give them a try. I’m not one to shy away from giving any fried chicken place a taste especially if it’s one that’s been able to expand to multiple stores. The staff was friendly, and asked me if I wanted some serendipity seasoning. No clue what it is, but if it’s unique to Bush’s — I wanted to try it ! With a box of chicken and a cup of their ice tea, I was ready. The chicken reminded me of Church’s, but not quite. The server had brought out a «regular» and a «spicy» serendipity seasoning for me to try as well. Let me say that the regular version reminds me of what you’d get inside instant ramen noodles flavor packs. I guess others might like this, but I moved on to the spicy version. The spicy version was MUCH better in my opinion. Good kick, much bolder seasoning. The chicken didn’t really need it, but it did bring a kick to it. Bush’s chicken gets the thumbs up from me. Maybe I was just hypnotized after seeing several Bush’s «chicken hurdling» signs off I-35. Well it worked, and I would certainly go back.

This place was a pit stop between Dallas and Austin so the boyfriend could get his fried chicken fix. He also loves their sweet tea and fried okra. It’s a lot like Chicken Express or KFC so I was able to order some sides. The macaroni was meh, corn on the cob was fresh, cole slaw was ok. Bonus points for root beer!

So I generally don’t go to fast food chicken restaurants BUT I do like Bush’s chicken. I overdosed on okra though because I just couldn’t stop myself. If fast food is your thing, then you will love Bush’s. Portions are generous and reasonably priced. I probably ate a month’s worth of fried calories but it was oh-so-good! The bathrooms needed attention but they were better than I expected.

Oh no what happened! This is nothing like the one back home. I realize they cannot control the way the water tastes but I really was expecting a much better sweet tea. The food had a different flavor too. Seasonings or spices or something seriously lacked here and my craving was completely deflated and left unsatisfied. The service however is consistently fantastic, superb, over the top, at every location. At leas there is one part of the chain that I can continually count on.

My husband and I stopped here for lunch on the way to my monthly Czech stop run. Not much different than Chicken express. not as good as Church’s Chicken. Nothing really special. It was ok.

Bush’s Chicken has been our dirty little travel secret for a few years now. Traveling between Austin and Dallas — West has always been on the radar for kolaches… but one day we required sustenance. Now, it’s probably the«go to» spot for a quick snack or meal when passing through. Chicken strips, fried okra, yeast rolls, french fries, wing sauce, honey, and cold drinks! All these fast food treats are about as tasty as they can get. Oh, and the restrooms are usually cleaner at not nearly as crowded as they are at the nearby Czech Stop.

Ok, it was better that Chicken Express. We were grease starved from the weekend in Austin and nothing in Waco seemed appetizing so we did what any typical person might do… wait until you get to podunk-ville and want a Kolache but figure you should eat dinner first. No, really, we stopped here so we could eat before walking to the Czech stop. It was actually good! We shared the 4 strip plate with fried Okra. Their«Bush’s Seasoning» was just the right kind of salty. Now their wing sauce… OMFG that puts hair on your chest. The food was hot and fresh, the restaurant was clean. It was cheap. No real complaints.
