Ok, so I love coffee and my brother took me to this place. First class! Hands down best coffee experience of my life! Got a cappuccino that was simply incredible. First class operation!

Superba pastries are so mediocre they verge on bad. The chocolate croissant was dry as was the flavorless popover with sugar. Waste of calories! Juice flight was delicious and the coffee is good but wish they could have rounded out the experience with better bites. Design is cool and trendy which I appreciate, with plenty of seating.

This is such a great place to meet up, work on your computer, and grab a snack. Verve is for creative minds going to get a cup of coffee. Customers are trendy, and hip. So is the vibe of the café, and what they serve. Their snacks are unique assortments of gluten free donuts & mini cakes. So not the healthiest snack options. Their coffee and goods are super photogenic. I wish they had some yogurt and fruit too. Overall, great place to come work on your computer. Cute inside and outside seating, sweet staff, and good coffee!

Stopped in for a quick cup of coffee… to find the interior of the store to be very warm inside. Furniture is uniquely industrial with a mid century twist. Macchiato was strong but not overbearing. Great patio lounge area outside. Three stars was simply for the temperature… I dont like to sweat when drinking my coffee

Verve holds a small place in my heart since they are from Santa Cruz, where I went for undergrad. I don’t think it opened until my last year there, but I’m glad they are beginning to expand all over! So neat to find a coffee shop that did not originate in Portland or San Francisco that is beginning to take off. What I love about Verve: Coffee. My favorite is the nitro cold brew. You honestly can’t go wrong with it. It also has tons of caffeine in it, more than your regular cup, and I can definitely feel my heart pumping faster. This is great for that one morning when you need the extra jolt, or the Saturday afternoon when you know you have a long night ahead of you. Service — always nice. You can sit here and relax, be on your laptop for hours, and they won’t bother you. Ambiance. This location in particular has a cozy vibe. I really love the booths inside, which are one-sided booths that face the coffee bar. Basically you and your friend can sit adjacently, and it makes it feel as if you’re sitting on a train! The outside is lovely too. They have lots of great trees and plants that feel like your cool friend’s backyard. They also have an outside bar seating area, overlooking Melrose.

Hipster Coffee Hype. I first found out about these guys in Santa Cruz which is twice the size, just as nice, and a lot more crowded. They put in quality into their drinks, this isn’t a grab and go place as it takes a few minutes to make lattes and such. I highly recommend the iced mocha and a latte. They also have a set of 8 sample drinks that you can go through which seems like quite the experience. P.S — Good luck trying to find parking.

I’m telling you, they gave the BEST salted dark chocolate walnut cookie of my life. Buttery, chewy and brownie-like. I am crazy sensitive to caffeine so I had two sips of an Americano and was wired! It was strong, flavor was POW in your face. Really cute setting, very open and lots of sitting arrangements. Quality.

Verve Coffee: making their big move into the LA scene! I was surprised to hear how many locations they were opening up in LA, and the surge of Verve coffee has been great! West Hollywood was the second location I visited(first being in DTLA), and it’s a very interesting spot in a rather quite pocket just south of Santa Monica Blvd. The spot is really clean, with lots of seating, indoors and out, and service is pretty good. Coffee is a little pricey, rather signature of Verve, but a good change of pace from other roasters roasting or served in the area. I’m always a fan of Verve, and would definitely return whenever I’m in the area. Parking is a bit horrendous(sparse and pricey during the day), but the coffee is definitely worth it.

Verve on Spring was definitely trendy by nature, but made famous by Instagram. The outdoor and indoor study space is so beautiful, but I probably never would have bought anything if it hadn’t been so famous for their x102oz juice flights! I see that they vary the 10 juices in the juice flights($ 8) so I’ll talk about a few memorable ones by color, because despite their vibrant colors they’re not as yummy as they might look. –Green: typical kale, celery, cucumber, apple, parsley blend. Flavor wise, this was probably the second best and I could definitely see myself ordering an entire thing. –Curry yellow: coconut, tumeric, carrot. This one was pretty awful. The taste of the turmeric made it so pungent and was much too unique for me, what a relief it was only 2oz. –Gray: activated charcoal, sugar water, lemon. Also too unique and tasted like sugar water. Sediment of charcoal collected at the bottom and it felt like sand on my teeth. –Pale pink: pineapple, strawberry, orange. The fruitiest most enjoyable one that was on the flight(probably why it was last.) Seating is for sure limited during the weekends. Parking is metered(you WILL get ticketed if you run out of time) or you can purchase parking at the surrounding lots. Worth a stop by because of the famous outdoor patio, but I don’t think I could work efficiently with so many other customers around me!

Simple layout and delicious coffee by baristas who actually care to ask how your day is going– it’s not a myth, they do exist! Delicious assorted baked goods too! I found My new neighborhood spot.

What is a coffee shop if not its atmosphere, and what is atmosphere if not a tone set by the people setting it. What I mean by that is Cathedrals are amazing buildings with less than amazing people kinda ruining the whole amazing thing all together. The building itself is an architectural gem: equal parts post modern minimalism with the exposed metal/concrete that epitomizes hip LA eateries de jour with lovely motif references to both Craftsman and Mission styles of design. From beautiful tile patterns to distressed copper, the interior flows effortlessly to the outside to create something Frank Lloyd Wright would be proud of. No better coffee shop(building, layout, location) exists in this our city of perpetual sunshine and glam. As for the coffee? Delicious. 5 stars. Get a pour over. They’re divine. As for the juice? Amazing! 5 stars. Claro que si… try the juice flight. So, if I love the product, and love the building, how can something so pesky as my perceived issues with staff be enough to post a self righteous post that awards just 2 stars? Now, I must say… a few people on staff here are truly amazing, and if everyone was like them, I would rent an apartment across the street from this place and live here ten hours a day(and it’s those wonderful people — BTWs — who compell me to give two stars instead of one). But sadly, everyone on staff is not like them, and it breaks my heart. And so, such an amazing place with amazing products, and some really great people is all torn assunder by the careless attitudes of a few rotten apples. But before you write me off as some troll or lone crank with an axe to grind, peruse a few of the other low star reviews(I think we’re all talking about the same people). Here’s hoping it gets better!

Everything about this place is great. Nice natural lighting indoors during the day thanks to the wall of windows! Awesome outdoor seating with a variety of seating options, they even have heated areas. Indoors in very warm and welcoming thanks to the woodwork and brass/copper countertops, it really is a pleasant sight. The staff are all awesome and friendly! Very nice people, casually dressed so it all feels more natural and they chat with you in a natural friend-to-friend kind of way. The drinks are nice too, I drink a lot of turkish tea so I typically drink my teas pretty heavy and dark but it was still good, coffees are also good there though i haven’t explored that side of the menu all that much. It’s a good place to bring your laptop and do some work or take a friend and have some one on one time together. The setting is good, the atmosphere is good, the crowd is good, the employees are good. Price is higher compared to your Starbucks but that’s expected with a better atmosphere and all. Give the place a shot it’s definitely worth is and if you’re into cars then there are a lot of nice ones that drive by.

Yes, yes & more yes. Did they make a contract with all of the hot models in Los Angeles to frequent this place! I fall in love every time I come haha. I love the outside patio, it’s so open and bright. The vibes are good. I come here to study and finish work and I get so inspired Being around that atmosphere. I have group meetings there too, and we nibble and munch on the delicious pastries all while sipping on amazing brewed drinks. The only annoying thing is that there are limited outlets, so come with a charged computer if you plan to do work.

I’m a fan of this place. They started in Santa Cruz and when I found out they were opening locations in LA I got so excited. The west Hollywood location is huge and beautiful. They have pour over coffee. Quick pour and espresso machines. Things aren’t too expensive but it does when you add up since you usually want 3 things like coffee, food and treats. So good Staff is so happy and friendly. I had lots of questions on coffee and they knew their shit. Very impressed. I will definitely come back.

I’ve been to other locations before, but this one is by far my favorite! They have tons of seats both inside and outside and it’s spaced out unlike the other locations– great for getting some work done, especially with the free and fast wi-fi connection. Great breakfast options too, besides just the juice flight and juice. Lots of freshly baked croissants and pastries to choose from, and they have healthy options too like their chia seed pudding with fresh fruit jelly on the bottom and tons of nuts/granola on top– definitely a must try! And can we please talk about the fresh coffee!!! Best almond milk latte I’ve ever had– espressos are on point!!! I even tried their cold brewed nitro iced coffee, served in a beer glass and it was nicely refreshing with a bit of froth on top. Definitely going back!

Great place to hang out with nice outdoor seating. Sandwiches are okay but the treats are tasty. The juice flight is cute and good way to try many different flavors of juices.

Its a nice space, both indoor and outdoor. The vibe is industrial and they have plenty of seating. This place has a lot of promise, so I’m going to stick with 3 stars. First thing I noticed is that the hours keep changing. It’s a new business so I understand. On Unilocal it says it’s open until 10pm. On the glass near the door it says until 8pm. Then there was a paper on the door that said it was open that day to 6pm only«given staffing issues.» The menu is limited, as are the pastries. They make standard coffee drinks. I got a chai latte, which was decent but very spicy. The pricing for that was over $ 4, which is fine, but then they charge $ 1 extra for the soy milk, which wasn’t made clear at the time of the order. Even an Americano was $ 4. The pastries were also in the $ 5 range, and they had 3 sad looking pastries left in the display. I think they are trying to go for an upscale place by charging upscale prices, but there are a lot of issues with this place that don’t seem very professional. I’m hoping they improve because it’s really a fantastic space to work. Free wifi.

Yeass! They have multiple locations throughout LA so finding one close to you is easy. This location was so cute! I wish I had more time to just sit there and relax. I wanted to come here for their juice flight but ended up ordering the bowl of soul. Take a look at my picture of the pastries and I dare you to not get one. I ended up getting a vegan cookies and cream donut and a cheddar and bacon biscuit. The vegan donut was amazing! And I told myself, it’s okay, it’s healthy… The biscuit was flavorful and moist, with little bits of bacon. Onto my drink, can I get an amen?! It’s a sweetened chamomile tea with milk. The presentation itself is beautiful! The drink was slightly sweet with the hint of chamomile. If you want a stronger tea taste, then I suggest letting your tea bag steep a little bit more. Overall, a great spot to get coffee, pastries and catch up with a friend/bf/book.

Good coffee and good ambience here. This place makes you wanna sit and enjoy the the weather. I think it’s great place for socializing or even doing work on the computer. I tried their cappuccino and it was pretty good. They messed up on my order and was nice enough to make me a brand new one and give me the messed up one. One thing I didn’t like was that you had to get the coffee yourself and bring it to your seat. I mean it’s kinda hard to maneuver around with a cup filled to the rim. Overall, this place has good music, good coffee, and good vibes.
