I go to Omi Sushi at least once a week. We always sit at the counter, I love watching them make the sushi, I find it entertaining. I love their oyster shooters and they have amazing happy hour specials for saki + beer. The fish is fresh, the staff is super friendly and are always making sure you have everything at all time. Overall always a pleasant experience and they always say«hi» as soon as you walk in the door and«bye» as you’re leaving, it’s cute and makes me feel welcomed. Fun Fact — I saw Kylie Jenner there twice. I highly suggest this little West Hollywood sushi joint if you’re looking for a new sushi spot. You’re Welcome!

Simple yet packed with flavor and the happy hour sushi prices are hard to beat in this area, probably the best prices for the quality of food you get!

My favourite little hangout in West Hollywood. Be sure to order the«fresh wasabi” — it takes your sashimi to the next level. Their fish is always ultra fresh and delicious. The servers are super nice and helpful and their happy hour with $ 1 sake can’t be beat. WeHo is known for Nobu and overpriced sushi, but seriously this place is SO cute and the food is just as good as the overpriced spots. This place is actually better or you’re not into frou-frou LA bullshit. The atmosphere at Omi is friendly and inviting and frankly that counts for more in my books. If you plan to come on a Thursday-Saturday be sure to snag a table before 7pm otherwise you’ll be waiting anywhere from 15 – 45 minutes for one– but even then, it’s worth the wait! I LOOOVE this place! I’ve eaten at practically every sushi spot on the westside, Malibu, Silver Lake, Little Toyko and Downtown and Omi Sushi is still #1 when I consider: Taste of food, quality of ingredients, menu options, cleanliness, restaurant atmosphere, service, price, location and combine it into an overall score, Omi hits it out of the park! –5 stars!!! * Bonus: The restrooms are always super tidy!

Delicious sushi at incredible prices! They’ve got a great Happy Hour menu from 4pm to 10pm everyday. My bf and I got two sushi rolls, two orders of miso soup, a hot green tea, an iced green tea, and a bowl of edamame for around $ 30ish. Amazing! Small onsite parking lot and metered street parking available.

Always heard local friends talking about this place and wondered what the deal was. Looks like a hole in the wall. Finally walked in on a Thursday night with a group reserv of 6 and the place was already starting off the weekend right with sake bombs and happy hour sushi! Overall vibe was very welcoming. You might even catch a sampling round of free shots!(I love you Grapefruit Sake) Just might become my local weekly sushi spot!

Very good sushi. Excellent choice for delivery because of their user friendly online ordering. Great portion sizes and plenty to choose from. Try the lobster tail roll — it’s delicious!

I came here with coworkers for lunch on a Friday. There were about 9 of us, but the place was empty except for one other group. There is a lot next to the restaurant, but you have to pay, and unfortunately(or fortunately depending on how you look at it) I didn’t drive, so I’m not sure the cost. I got the 5 pieces of sushi and a spicy tuna roll, which came with miso soup. I don’t love miso soup, and asked to substitute a salad, but was not allowed. Not a huge deal as I was ordering a special. The soup was good and I took a bite of my friend’s salad, which was fresh and had great dressing. The roll was good and 4⁄5 sushis were good, but 1 did not taste very fresh. I had a bite of my boss’ sexy roll(which sounds pretty dirty) and it was very good. The biggest issue was that 2 of the people in our party did not receive their food until a good 15 minutes after everyone else. I’m pretty sure they completely forgot about one girl until we reminded her. We ended up having to get hers to-go as we needed to be back for a meeting by a certain time. The staff was very apologetic and boxed things up quickly, which helped the situation. Overall the service was okay, although they did address their shortcomings. The food was fine minus my one piece of sushi. If you’re right in the neighborhood it is a fine place to eat, but there are much better places in LA.

It’s fine, whatevs. They do have Happy Hour 4pm-10pm which is good. Easy parking. Super close to where I live. Food is good, quality decent. Service has never been good. I don’t love it but it’s def a convenience spot at times.

Two words: HAPPYHOUR — everyday from 4pm to 10pm. Cant beat that. Looks like a little hole in the wall from the outside but i came here on a friday night and it was happening! Good ambiance, place was full yet not too long of a wait for a table. We ordered quite a bit of food from the happy hour menu(over-ordered actually) and everything was great! The red rock(spicy tuna on crispy rice) and the baked salmon roll were my favs. The bill was under $ 50 and it included two bottles of sake which is amazing.

This update is strictly about their server Anne(red hair gil). Anne speaks perfect English, which is not always common at Omi Sushi. She’s on the ball. She’s attentive; she’s always there to ask if you need anything else before you even think of it. She’s courteous and funny and cool. She’s a welcome addition to the staff. I hope she’ll stock around for while. As far as the food is concerned, it’s not the best Japanese you can get, but it’s pretty OK for the price. And you can’t beat their Happy Hour choices and prices.

I ordered delivery from here and got food poisoning that evening from it. I will never eat here again. If you look at all my reviews I have never left one bad review or left less than 3 stars. I have a positive outlook on every place I try through Unilocal. The sushi here was low quality and it tasted awful.

My first impression when I stepped into the restaurant: «I’m back in college!» Great laid back sushi place — good happy hour deals! Came here on a Thursday night around 9pm for their late happy hour deals! We ordered the red rock(spicy tuna on crispy rice), large sake and beer, and 2 rolls(spicy tuna crunchy and crispy California type roll). The food was great! Came out quickly too. But if you’re looking for a high end sushi palace or good service, this isn’t the place for you. It’s more of a relaxed environment, young people where you can have some drinks and sushi for a decent price.

They must be under new/different ownership from back in 2011 because they are good again! I gave them another try recently after avoiding this place for over 4yrs. I ate in with a friend and had the Philly roll, lobster roll and one other roll too and they were all damn tasty. I also ordered delivery on a separate occassion after that and my order came faster than the time they quoted me and everything was fresh and delicious. I haven’t tried the BSCR yet(that was the one that was royally screwed up 4yrs ago) so that will be the ultimate decider as to if I up this to a 5 star review!

Two words, one great feeling: Happy Hour. I came into Omi Sushi a few months ago when friends had strolled into town for dinner. We were looking to ball out on a budget and when they mentioned HH was from 4−10pm every day — we were SOLD. Now, my biggest fear with cheap sushi is getting what you paid for but we were absolutely delighted with the fresh quality of the fish and attentiveness of our waiter. I don’t frequent the West Side that often anymore, but if I go — Omi will definitely be on my list of places to grub.

Happy Hour 4−10pm everyday. We tried a bunch of rolls and thought they were all good, with the exception of the Philadelphia roll which was 90% cream cheese. Everything about this place was pretty standard, nothing too special.

Great sushi and an even better happy hour! I believe it’s everyday from 4−10PM… you can get ½ off a selection of their special rolls and a «Happy Bomb» which is a large sake with a large Sapporo for $ 7. The special rolls here are really good. My two faves that I definitely would recommend are the Salmon Killer roll and Las Vegas roll. On the happy hour menu, go for the Red Rock which is spicy tuna on crispy rice. It can be hit or miss because sometimes a little too crispy, but when they get it right, it’s so delicious! If I had to describe the service at Omi in one word, I’d say: teamwork. The servers here work as a team and serve each table together. They do a great job and are constantly checking in on you, sometimes even a little too often. Also, huge plus that they have free parking in the back! Oh me, oh my I love OMI!

Fresh Fish Friday The location was decorated nicely, we were not greeted nor seated by any of the employees. We were very confused as to how the seating arrangement worked but we ended up just finding a sea for both of us in the restaurant. My friend and I ordered miso soups and edamame as appetizers. The miso broth was very good but the tofu was too soft and did not taste very good. We ordered a total of 4 rolls: Philadelphia, crazy California, baked tuna, and crunch roll. They were all fairly good, pretty average, definitely took sushi craving. The service was a tad bit mediocre and difficult because the waitresses did not speak English very well. Towards the end, our waitress traded shifts and the second waitress we had was very rude. The overall experience was a delightful sushi visit, but the service made the visit a tad sour.

Can I eat here EVERYSINGLEDAY!!! No but really, Omi can you please hire me as your spokesmodel and in return just feed me for free? I’m a LA salmon skin hand roll aficionado and can I just say– Omi’s is so addicting that I may very well cause the salmon extinction from how many rolls I order! The sushi chefs truly pack in the crisp love, no skimping– exactly the way love should be! Yellowtail collars are also my taste bud’s specialty and HELLOBEAUTIFULLYSCRUMPTIOUSMOUTHGASM! This large and in charge fish neck was succulent right down to the bone and could be a meal to anyone who doesn’t have 4 stomachs like me! My dining companion of course loved her dishes too, she did know what deliciousness she was getting herself into though because she is the one who recommended Omi to me– plus she is the FOODPERVERT, so she knows what turns on the mouth! You don’t even have to ask… Of COURSE I will be back to Omi to get my chow on!!! I could tell the servers were a little taken aback by my extra large order, but with time, they’ll probably be preparing my go-to orders the second they see me opening the door to their small, yet cozy and a little romantic(certainly worked on me because I was making love to my food) establishment. Oh and by the way, free(hidden) parking is truly the ikura on top of your sushi roll!
