It’s basically happy hour half the time they’re open so you’re almost always getting an amazing value. This one is way bigger than the one in the WeHo Gateway so you don’t feel squished at any point in time. The staff is friendly, the food tastes good(they could salt their edamame a little more), and as I mentioned before, it is extremely reasonably priced. If you’re looking to binge on sushi, head over on a Sunday night since it’s usually very quiet then. I really don’t have anything bad to say about this place other than it’s not the top-tier quality fish, but it’s very good and parking is validated.

Despite the 50% from 4.01pm to 2.00am, FISHISGOOD ! Sushi is done properly, and the wait staff work very hard(S. Korean) They also do a very nice job when you order to go. Parking validation.

PLEASEREAD! DISREGARDPREVIOUSREVIEW!!! Well, case closed! I was at the WRONGDARNEDSUSHIPLACE! Wow! I’m a serious goof. I managed to find Sarah & she was none to pleased! I’m sure the sushi is great. I have a lot of apologizing to do. Sarah drank a lot while she was waiting for me. FIVE Stars to everyone but me

Average experience. For experienced sushi lovers, sometimes folding early and agreeing to an average(or even below-average) sushi spot can be quite the disappointment. The service here is great and everyone is so nice… but the fish isn’t very fresh and the«eh» status is obvious from the beginning. My biggest problem was the nigiri I ordered, namely halibut, was extremely chewy. I had to force myself to get through it since there was no hope of passing it onto my sister. I’ve never had such chewy fish before and even if that’s normal, I’m not down. The menu has a wide variety, featuring rolls with many different kinds of fish and they are apparently always in happy hour, with rolls priced at or below $ 10. While affordable, it isn’t the greatest experience.

We go here all the time, this place has the best view of sunset blvd, they validate for the first 60 mins. They have very good sushi with no over-the-board prices. I always get large sake there, which is only $ 3.99!

I am a huge huge HUGE fan of Rock N Roll Sushi. The food is delicious & their«happy hour» prices are incredibly modest. The drink specials are amazing as well. The people who work here could not be any nicer! They’re the best! I love that it’s located on the 2nd floor, makes you feel perfectly tucked away. The service is very fast. They always welcome you with a huge smile and make you feel at home. I LOVE this place :)

I have been here 3 times and every time I have had a terrible experience. The food is not good and the service is worse. This last time I didn’t dine I did a pick-up and told them what I ordered. I waited a half an hour for my pickup! If they would have told me it would’ve been later that would’ve been fine and I wouldn’t have wasted my time showing up when they told me to; also they made 2 other pickup orders for people who were not there. I’m sorry, but if someone is there waiting in front of you, don’t put orders who people who are not there in front of you. 3 strikes. I’m out.

Came here on a Tuesday night, first time. Love how they open so late and happy hours 4pm-2am. service was okay. Sushi was definitely not fresh, maybe because we went at 12:30am? Im not sure but quality was no good. Had better sushi with cheaper price.

Service was beyond awful. Food was also not very good at all. Ended the night with them trying to overcharge myself and my party for stuff we never ordered. Disgusting business practices and I will never be back.

Let me just say I will never come here again. I came here on a Friday night after an exhausting work week, expecting to have a restful dinner to myself after visiting Salon Republic. Not only was the fish terrible but it took forever to get anyone’s attention. I had to ask for my drink about 3 times before they would bring it to me. Even the guy next to me(who was also alone) got his food and check faster than me. I was at the sushi bar and the chefs weren’t even talking to me. They were focused on their to go orders, which is fine but they should at least acknowledge that someone just sat in front of them. The fish was terrible; super tough and it had a weird metallic flavor. I’ve had better quality fish at Ralph’s. I actually decided against ordering more food because it was that bad. The only reason that I’m giving them 2 stars is because the prices aren’t bad. It’s always happy hour so you can get $ 2 sake and other deals like that.

Don’t come here for good service, a cognitive manager or anyone who understands english. I used to love this place but I have had progressively worse service. It took 40 minute for a seaweed salad when there were only 3 tables! We come here 3 times a week spending over 80 $, tipping over 20% and were given the WORST service ever. Don’t give them your business. This isn’t how you treat regulars who tip well.

It’s a big restaurant with sushi bar, patio facing inside the mall and indoor tables. It’s opened late!:) sushi is decent. They love their special and crazy combo rolls, don’t expect fancy sashimi but it’s good, always like my food, very reasonably priced. 90 min free parking. Thump up

The absolute worst customer service. They lost my credit card and honestly took WAY too long to even BEGIN searching for it. They kept telling me they either A) gave me my credit card back already B) had no idea what I was talking about C) never even saw my credit card to begin with. W t f? Clearly there is a language barrier here, but that doesn’t excuse the rudeness and over all incompetence of the staff. They kept giving us the runaround and ended up just ignoring us for a while when I kept asking them to look for my card. I had to go up to the cashier area and physically search for it myself. Ended up finding my card after they gave me several dirty looks. Food was meh. Service was less than meh. No thanks.

This is an awesome sushi restaurant located right across from the«world famous» Laugh Factory comedy club right across the street. It’s not a bad place to go after catching a show there. I like this place because it’s never super-busy, even on «peak days’ where you’d expect a lot of customers. So you can relax and not feel rushed. Sashimi is superb, with the octupus a true standout. They also have superb rolls here, especially the crunchy tempura rolls that I measure all subsequent crunchy rolls against. Only thing I don’t like is the name change. It used to be called«Sushi Dan,» but now it’s «Rock N Roll Sushi,» which seems like crass pandering to the tourist crowd. SMH.

Decent sushi — nice location and great prices :). I would say the only reason to go here is for their happy hour menu. If it’s not happy hour then it’s not worth it, but their happy hour is so amazingly priced. The rolls I had were not bad at all. Fresh, the spicy tuna was good.

Deliciously prepared sushi with very generous Portions and excellent prices. You cannot find this quality of service for the price in the area! Also, we ordered delivery service from EAT24 and their quality of customer service SURPASSES your expectations! They really care about your experience. I will definitely order from Rock And Roll Sushi and EAT24 from now on.

I come here after work to grab a late night Sushi. The quality is good. I usually get a couple of rolls, but mostly nigiri. I did several to go order, and I really appreciated the way they prepare the food to go. So far best way to pack. Very important message to the owner : CHANGETHESOYSAUCE packets TOGO. IT’S DISGUSTING ! ! ! Aside that. Hard workers and fresh fish !

I used to come to this place when it was«Sushi Dan,» and maybe even dined here after the name change and haven’t realized it till now. *Shrugs* Here’s why I’m a fan. This place is open till 2am. They have a satisfying happy hour menu and here’s the good part… Happy Hour prices on start at 4:01pm all the way to closing(or last call). Bissshhwhet? Yeah, we totally ordered from the happy hour selection and our tummies were full and happy. Was it clean? — I had no complaints. How was the service? — They were attentive, lots of team work going on. High five! What do you recommend? — Yellowtail sashimi with crispy onions(& extra ponzu sauce) –must do! That wasn’t on the happy hour menu, but if you enjoy sashimi, you won’t mind! Will you go back? — yep, especially knowng they’re open late!

They are still open til 2am and still have long Happy Hour. That’s cool. But I am changing my rating now; cannot leave my previous 4 star review here anymore. I ordered a cocktail called cucumber fresh or something(can’t remember the name). I wanted to have something refreshing and even asked a waitress if I was ordering the right thing. It took a very long time for them to make the drink, and it tasted weird too. After the first sip, I was done with it. This was not a place to have cocktails. I also ordered Sunomono salad. The chef must not know what the sunomono salad is. The salad they served was thick slices of cucumber piled up on a bowl, and watered down vinegar dressing was poured onto them. It was completely tasteless. I was very disappointed. No more sunomono salad at this restaurant. Sushi was ok. Some fusion rolls were good. Most of them were just ok. We came here because they were open till late. The restaurant is spacious and you can see Sunset Blvd from the booth by the large windows which is nice. I will most likely come back here every once in a while since no other sushi bar is open until 2 am in WeHo. But that’s the sole reason at this time.
