I came by to try the Shrimp bowl. The customer service I received was amazing !!! I can’t remember her name but on the recite it said Danny? I think she had kinda like had red tips on her hair if I remember correctly. Hispanic gal. Very very nice. When our food was ready she came directly to serve us, we didn’t even have to get up. Her smile and her service was really amazing ! I work at a high end store so when I receive great service I just couldn’t keep it to myself. Me and my boyfriend had a such a great date! Def coming back.

Was just there a few minutes ago with my girlfriend. The sign on the door said they opened at 10:30. Walked in the door at 10:31 and was yelled at by the staff including this Hispanic girl with black hair who I’m pretty sure is the manager who screamed«we’re closed.» First off the door was open and there were no indications that they were closed. She yelled at us like we had snuck into the place too early. It wasn’t just me that thought it was rude. Before I could get two words out, my girlfriend said she thought it was super rude. Horrible customer service. Called the manager to complain and the same rude Hispanic girl picked up the phone. Hanging up on her was the nicest thing I could think of at the time. They need to be sent to training or fired.

I LOVE Baja. Their chicken is what keeps me coming back. Their churros. The nachos. Basically, you can’t really go wrong with whatever you order. I feel Baja is way better than chipotle(YEAH, I SAIDIT), although very under utilized. BUT… Their service. WOW! So incredibly rude. I came in yesterday after picking my son up from school. I tried ordering over the phone, but the person on the other end & I were having a hard time hearing each other, so I tell her I’m almost there anyway, & I’ll order in person. No Biggy. When we arrive, the place is dead. There are a couple of people outside, the manager is re-icing the salsa bar, the kitchen crew is looking at me with these long faces, & I ask, «What’s up guys?» They smile, everything is cool. That is, until I order. YOLANDRA(Thin, red hair, & sassy as fuck) made my whole experience such a drag. I asked a question towards my order at one point while her back was facing me, & she turned, let out the biggest *SIGH* & rolled her eyes at me. Holy shit. Am I making your job difficult? I brushed it off because I didn’t want to cause a scene in front of my kid. I called as soon as I get home(5 minutes later) & Yolanda answers. I ask to speak to the manager, she puts me on hold, then tells me she’s too busy. Too busy refilling the Salsa bar from the dead Baja right now? Whatever. I told her she was extremely rude, she denies ever doing it, & hangs up on me. WOW Straight up bitch. This experience, & this experience alone will keep me from returning to this location. Based off other Unilocal reviews, it seems the attitude here is a common occurrence. What a shame because the food is bomb. Lame.

Place is filthy and smells badly. No wonder it was empty during lunch time rush! Deserves no stars! How do the workers not take care of the obvious.

This place is the worst for ordering Mexican food! My husband ordered the shrimp burrito with roasted vegetables and rice. I told the cashier to enter easy on the rice and no cheese. When my husband ate his burrito, there was still a ton of rice in it. He said the burrito didn’t even taste that good. For my order, I got the carnitas tacos which barely had any meat in it and it was tasteless! Also, I ordered the wahoo crispy taco, but I received the wahoo grilled fish!?! This taco didn’t have any taste, too. It seems the cook isn’t reading the orders correctly. I noticed restaurants run better, when the food taste good. Baja Fresh should be better known as Baja Stale. I felt I wasted $ 16, when I could have gone to the mom and pop Mexican restaurant and spent less for better tasting food. I think this is the last time I will order from this restaurant. Word of advice, corporate should start coming out to the Baja Fresh restaurants with low ratings to improve the quality of their service and food.

Came to have lunch with my husband my burritos were super sloppy and were 90% right. But the worst part is there cleanliness it’s really dirty in there their trashes are filled up to the top there’s water on the floor food on the floor and even on the counter they have the train dirty. I will not be returning to this Baja Fresh I seriously feel sick to my stomach right now.

Probably the worst Baja Fresh ever!!! This place is filthy. If I knew how to take a picture of the floor and the walls and attach it to this review I would ! It honestly doesn’t look like they have swept their floor since the morning and probably never washed their walls. They probably were really busy today, but wait when i walked in the cashier was on her phone texting so that couldn’t have been the reason. Food wasn’t that great either. I recommend not coming here ever, ever again.

I like that I can customize and make my item vegan(no dairy, no flour tortillas) but lately their guacamole has not been fresh. Lots of brown. Not very appealing.

Service was ok. Salsa was bland. I ordered a small queso fundido(glad I only got a small) it was more like queso water. BF had a Baka bowl that he was less than impressed with.

Originally went here looking for a Rubio’s Fresh Mexican Grill, which frequently uses the slogan«Baja Fresh» and is often called Baja Fresh by people in my hometown. Luckily this place is just as delicious. Almost exactly the same kind of restaurant, with a little less surf theme and a little more health-centric menu. Loved it. Would absolutely come again or recommend. Could easily bump this rating to 5 stars in the future.

Such slow service. There’s no line and I ordered two tacos. I’m still waiting and it has almost been twenty minutes. I’m never eating here again.

Horrible service! Plus they charge higher prices then other Baja Fresh locations. Maybe it’s a franchise but I’d rather go to a different Baja and get the same thing for cheaper!

Bad customer service, after I purchased my meal, I was going to walk to the side of the store, and the employee Alondra was sweeping the floor and had told me «do you mind!» I was surprised that she said that to a paying customer. If she would of said excuse me then I wouldn’t be mad

How can they still be in business? Okay, a veggie burrito over 6 bucks? Where do I start beans, cheese a little rice, and veggies. The burrito was beat ! They put themselves, out of business, salsa bar is weak, didn’t they have more then 5 different salsa’s? And they just put fish on the menu, a little late no. There are a ton of better places, to get taco’s and burritos for less. They need to go back to their roots !

Mexican food in California is the best. Or at least, it’s supposed to be. Baja Fresh must cater to people who have never tried any of the other Mexican food in the area, least of all the cuisine that tends toward authenticity. It’s fine if you’re looking for a step up from Taco Bell, but if you’re in the market for some actual Mexican, stay far, far away. I got their chicken tostada. It would have been nice to know that they had no intention of providing salad dressing, leaving me to sadly stab at my plate in hopes of mashing enough other edibles on the lettuce to mask the slightly unwashed taste of the greens. The chicken was dry and not very flavorful. There was nothing special about anything else that came on the salad, either. My parents both got bean and cheese burritos, which were apparently fine. That’s likely because it’s hard to mess up beans and cheese on a tortilla. You’d think, at least…
