My husband and I came on a Monday night, we are both of Greek origin and we have to say we were absolutely beyond satisfied! This is one of the greatest authentic Greek meals we have had in a very long time. Our service was awesome and very attentive. We made our own meze, pretty much that means we ordered a ton of appetizers, everything was outstanding and presented amazingly. Thank you Molos for the amazing service, we will be back!!!

Rant. Dry lamb chops, barely warm drinks after dessert is served and service makes this restaurant experience even less memorable. The view. Once you enter the restaurant, you will see a beautiful view over the city. Just stop there and don’t walk further. Don’t waste your time or money. Food was below average, and very overpriced for what you get. Went twice and both times left disappointed, I was wonder why they are empty, think again.

This place has the potential to be so awesome so I am so disappointed to have to write this review. The views are AMAZING! The space is very pretty. But the service is SO slow and completely inattentive — I mean we asked for water refills and she filled only one of our glasses. Our wine was brought after we were mostly finished with our meal. They asked if we wanted coffee after our dessert was finished. The food was ok — but if you know good Greek food you will know this wasn’t it. None of it was«bad» but none of it was great either. So mediocre food… terrible service… awesome views. Not likely we will make our way back there anytime soon.

Beautiful restaurant and absolutely amazing view! I live 5 minutes away and never even knew this place was there, wish I knew sooner! Food was delicious and fresh. Service was ok, I felt like it should have been a little better especially for those prices. The bartender though was very nice and pleasant.

Had a birthday party on Thursday night and it couldn’t have gone better. There were 15 of us and the service was impeccable(not to mention the food and view).

Views are amazing. It’s like sitting on the water! Food is solid. Service for this price point is just okay. Everything was good, but Crab burger was awesome. The nest was a little greasy for me because of the skinny fries absorbing so much oil but it was okay overall. I will try something else next time. Ambiance is the main selling point beautiful views.

I love the view of the Manhattan skyline from here. A romantic spot with beautiful white and blue décor. Love their whole fish selection, raw platters and wine list. I always start with their mezze which are all so delicious! I wish I was there now!

Full disclosure: I am a waitress and this was my first weekend off in years. I am Greek I came here on a Friday for a Greek dancing night. I’ve been here before and it is usually amazing. However this time I had a horrible waitress and my family and I will NEVER be back. We had a party of 20 come in and we were split between two tables. Overall the food and drinks were good. The waitress from the beginning was terrible. She told us the kitchen closed at ten and when we asked the manager he said midnight so we had to inform her that we were still able to order(in server world this means she just wanted to leave early) End of the night the check came. A few people paid there amounts and the remainder was $ 270. OK awesome. I ask the waitress to charge me for one of the bottles of wine and an appetizer to my card. I work with the system their restaurant uses every day. I saw her open up a new tab, ring in a random bottle of wine and a random appetizer and then charge me for it which came out to $ 66. I asked her to print out the reminding receipt and it was still $ 270. Basically, this waitress attempted to rip my family and I off in hopes that she would get an extra $ 12 in front of my face when I have worked that system before and I clearly saw what she did. I paid the remainder of the $ 270 and did not leave a tip because you lost that when you decided to try and rip me off. The manager then came over and said«I did not add a tip because you are Greek and thought you would take care of her». Yeah, we would have if she had not pulled what she did(probably would have used that $ 66 towards a tip). This waitress will hopefully learn from her lesson. Basically, We are NEVER going here again and I suggest you do not either. Ridiculous.

I had a reservation here on a Saturday night with a friend and at first they tried sitting us at a table right in front of the kitchen door, I wasn’t happy with that and luckily there was a table in the bar area for 2 and with a view. Waitress didn’t come over for the first 20 min so we sat there for the entire time without anything, including drinks. Food was decent but again service was horrible. We didn’t see our waitress most of the night which was annoying when we wanted salt & pepper, drink refills or anything else. Restaurant didn’t even seem that busy for the service to be so bad. I’d go back for the view but probably not any time soon.

Pros: Seared scallops and fried calamari is delicious Nice views of Manhattan Clean and quiet setting Nice menu selection including desserts Cons: Service was sub par. Server kept forgetting to refill water and never put our coffee order in. She also delayed our Greek spread dips/pita My lobster was small and depressing. A bit over cooked. Not worth the price. I should’ve ordered a crabcake burger and fries Dessert was decent. Had the baklava. I’ve had better baklava at corner deli’s. Should’ve ordered a gelato or sorbet.

I came here for an event and we were located upstairs. It was very spacious and the view was amazing! The service staff was on point, I probably drank a liter of water there and they were so prompt in filling my glass up! On the other hand the food was disappointing. I felt my salmon had a fishy smell but I was ravenous and kept eating… Well I was at home sick for the rest of the day. This has never happened to me before… and I hadn’t had anything to eat prior to this meal so I know it had to have been the salmon. I would recommend coming here for the view and drinks… because that view is truly amazing… but skip the food… or at least the seafood.

First time here… 1. The staff is so sweet, and so informative, I unfortunately didn’t get our waitresses name but her hair was kind of a reddish orange color, so basically she was a red head. She was so amazingly nice, and even when she brought our appetizers she pointed out what was what, ran by us the daily specials, soo… huge thumbs up for that! 2. The view, omg. To die for! 3. The appetizer: 5 different spreads I think it was called pilakili I might be wrong, but it came with pita bread, so delicious! Probably my favorite part of the night. 4. We got the lavraki, so good, and the seafood pasta, it was made with orzo, lobster was sooo good. 5. We also got salad, and potatoes, potatoes I could have done without, salad is always a must in our culture! 6. The barbunya fish — the second best thing, amaziiiiing, if they have it its a must try! Overall it was an amazing experince because of the warmth of the people working there, and the way the service is. go during a weekday, it’s more enjoyable when you see a view and eat in silence. Lol. Will most definitely be going back soon!

Came here for dinner during NJ restaurant week and had the best service ever. Thanks to our fantastic waiter! Lots of fresh seafood to pick from. Our waiter(I forget his name but I think it as Jean Paul Paris… or something similar) he knew his wine options and we told him what we liked semi sweet and he recommended the BEST wine that I will forever buy! The serving portion sizes were huge for restaurant week but delicious. We took home 1 large bag. So big it looked like we went food shopping! Water views and valet parking was a plus. One con is they need a major renovation because their interior décor and bathrooms are seriously outdated!

We love this place. Went again for Valentine’s day this year and had a wonderful dinner. Food always great, view of NYC spectacular and their house made Sangria fabulous.

Came to Molos a couple weekends ago with my parents and sister to celebrate my birthday and wow what a place! We sat right next to the window with an incredible view and the food was simply fantastic. We all split a delicious Pink Snapper special which was divine and perfectly cooked. All the sides were phenomenal as well. Really high quality food. The baklava at the end was so good we got a second! Will definitely be coming back to Molos!!!

Great view. I mean really nice view. Literally see the water right outside your window seat. Good happy hour 4−8pm(i.e. $ 6 fish tacos brings 3 tacos). But came here for a Greek style grilled octopus. Very tasty. Will be coming back to taste their scallops & the Chilean sea bass. Seem to have a good rep & im curious. The service can improve thou. A bit inattentive and it wasn’t crowded at all. The fish tacos are not breaded & deep fried which was great but wasn’t a huge fan of the dressing. Could have been better. Overall lacked something. Didn’t make my palate go YUM, you get me. I prob wouldn’t order them again but wouldn’t discourage someone from trying it either. Hopefully my next experience here will be a 4 or 5 star event for my palate. Cuz the view and the restaurant are worth enjoying over & over again.

If you’re getting to Molo’s via public transportation, it’s about a ten minute walk from the light rail. It’s not bad at all because you get to walk along the water. What one Unilocaler said is true — it doesn’t matter where you sit because every table has a great view of the city. My boyfriend and I came in on a Saturday for a boozy brunch. The drinks to choose from are mimosas, bellinis, and bloody marys. Avoid the Bloody Mary. It tasted really bitter and not because they put too much alcohol, but it almost tasted like they used a rotten tomato or something. Or maybe I was just unlucky but either way, mimosas and bellinis are usually a safe choice. Onto the food — the brunch options didn’t really seem like Greek dishes to me. Most of them sounded like dishes you could order at any other gastropub. The only Greek option I saw was the Greek salad. Everything else seemed plain, except for the fish tacos, which I ordered. These were pretty good — the fish tasted fresh, so I don’t have any complaints there. I’m not sure how their non-brunch options are but I would hope that at least those are more Greek!

Molos is a really nice restaurant with a beautiful view of the NYC skyline. I was here for a party, and our large group claimed most of the tables in the main room(closer to the bar — the tables to the back were for other guests). My friends and I got our first drinks at the bar until it was time to be seated. They serve mostly Mediterranean fare, but they do have some great Italian-style appetizers. The calamari was yummy, but unfortunately came with both rings and tentacles(ew!). At least our party was set up for sharing plates, because my tablemates thankfully took all the tentacles! We also had some salad, and some cucumbers, and at least one other app dish(that I don’t remember). The actual entrees were a little disappointing though. The chicken was dry, and the steak was also a bit overcooked. I wasn’t too excited about either, honestly. For dessert, we had our own cake from the party — which was very nice, but we weren’t offered any coffee?! I didn’t think that was possible in a Mediterranean restaurant! Instead, my table and I drank the last bits of our sodas and wine from the bar. Oh well. At least there’s a beautiful view?

A little hidden away but absolutely worth seeking it out. Been here multiple times for brunch and today for lunch — always excellent food and the view is second to none. Service at brunch is quick but if a little slower than many places in NYC area — but that’s Greek! Had restaurant week menu this time around which was amazing value and incredibly good quality — particularly the Branzino. Highly recommended!

Pretty good ! The view is beautiful, right on the water over looking the city skyline. The outside area isn’t available yet so you do have to sit indoors but there was floor to ceiling windows, so you still get the view. Greek restaurant that’s traditional and has fresh catches of the day. Our waiter was nice and authentic, and knowledgeable in the Greek cuisine. We had calamari, different spreads(red caviar is delicious), and sea bass and red snapper for mains. Ends off with baklava and Greek yogurt :)
