Avoid the traffic & chain restaurants on Bald Hill Rd. and venture to this little gem 10 minutes away. The ambience is warm, earthy and sophisticated perfect for a date, but also not romantic enough where it would be awkward bringing having dinner with a family member or friend. Much of the seating encourages conversation, with little to no view of the TVs near the bar and intimate lighting. The food is delicious! For our appetizer we ordered calamari. It was the best I have had inland. I ordered a flat bread pizza since I had a late lunch. The flat breads are not presented as entrées, but make a filling light dinner. The pizza was simply amazing. I was not hungry, especially after eating some of the calamari, but I could not stop enjoying the tangy deliciousness of the BBQ chicken pizza. My dining partner order the chicken parmesan and it was great. There are authentic Italian restaurants in the area I know may have better Italian-American dishes, but all in all the food was fantastic, the service was stellar, and even the dessert was delicious. Also, the prices are reasonable.

More like 3 ½ stars. Came with a gf for dinner — we wanted to sit at the bar but it was completely full including all high top tables. Even the empty ones had«Reserved» signs on them — oh my, I guess I’m only Elite on Unilocal!=) Nice ambience in a converted factory mill type space with exposed brick and vents — reminded me of my old apartment. I kept my shoes on. =) We sat at a table but shortly after, 2 spots opened up at the bar and our waitress was very accommodating and had the bartender clear the space for us. Iron Works is taking part of Restaurant Week(Select App, Entrée and Dessert for $ 29.95) but we decided to just order off the regular menu. We both ordered wines and started off with the calamari. Calamari was good and came in a good size portion. The calamari was lightly breaded and was neither soggy nor too crispy, lacked a little in flavor but it was drizzled in a nice peppadew aioli and arugula. I should’ve asked for a side of the aioli — it had a nice flavor with a little kick. We both ordered the Salmon — cooked well, nicely crusted with a delicious lemon herb aioli. Came on top of fingerling potatoes and asparagus. The potatoes were really yummy in my tummy. Our bartender was very sweet and made small talk when she got the chance — it was a busy busy place! And considering it’s attached to a hotel, the array of characters was quite fascinating. There was an older gentleman who clearly wanted part of our party but sorry — DENIED! And when he left we got a sugar daddy and his sugar baby, clearly there was about a 30 year age difference. I’m not judging that part — it was the over-the-top displays of affections, but it made for dinner and a movie! One more thing to add — when we left, we noticed in the little covered walkway to go out, it’s heated! Big props for the business for putting that there! We both remote started our cars and stayed warm in the little«waiting» area. Def worth coming back to.

My wife and I shared a vegetarian meal from here while staying at the hotel next door. We were disappointed with our meal and spoke to the hostess who referred us to the manager right award. The manager offered us a replacement meal and also gave us an appetizer. We had the mushroom flatbread and eggplant rollatini, both were very good. We would also like to complement the service as we were really pleased with how the restaurant handles our complaint. We will return next time we fly in/out of Providence.

Haven’t been in a while so thought I’d go as I’ve always enjoyed in the past. So very disappointed! Slow roasted short ribs were dry & did not have the veggies in them. The green beans were raw, sent them back to be cooked to fork tender, and came back still raw, warm & loaded with garlic!!! Husband had a side of Brussels sprouts full of truffle cheese which I detest! Not happy!!!

This is a brew pub attached to a hotel. It’s okay, nothing special, and nothing that you can’t find at a million similar restaurants. Oddly, they don’t have much on draft.

Cassie was our waitress last night, did a fantastic job serving. My wife and I had the lobster roll and a bacon cheeseburger. Both outstanding, we both travel and have been in the restaurant and hotel business for a number of years. I had just got off a plane and my wife has been up here working for a week. Cassie had suggested the bacon infused meatloaf. A gentleman that from Seattle sat at a table next to us and ordered the meatloaf. Again we loved what we had, but Cassie we should have listened to you. I let the manager know on our way out that Cassie did a great job. Thus will always be a stop in my way through town.

Came here in October and I was so psyched that they had an amazing pumpkin menu. how cool is that?! My pumpkin was filled with major awesomeness, scallops. Cranberries, spinach, and BACON! I still remember my server, his name was junior and he was so sweet and nice! Hubby and I had the pumpkin bread pudding as well(I’m going to faint reliving this) …totally was to die for, the one minor critique was the dessert was so yummy that I think they have the talent to whip up their own cream for the dessert, I bet it would rock. My husband has come back and I look forward to my second visit as well!

I/we had dinner there last evening. We were part of a party of 6. We got there early(5:30 p.m.) because we were going to a show afterwards. Our experience started with our inept waitress bringing drinks and water to our table and then preceding to spill a full glass of water onto the table, and all over my friends lap. In my opinion the experience went down hill after that. By 6:00 p. m, what had started out as a nice quiet atmosphere, turned into a very loud busy bar crowd. If that’s what you’re looking for this is your place. As for the food, I thought it was okay, but overpriced for what you got. I don’t think I’ll be back anytime soon, as there are too many other less expensive better choices out there. Oh by the way, I ordered an appetizer well before the 6:00 p.m. cut off for it to be half price and my waitress came back an informed me that it was 6:01 p.m. when she tried to put it in, and therefore it was now full price. All I could say was really”??? I would have given this visit 2 ½ stars but couldn’t figure out how to do that.

Horrible place, horrible service. Went there tonight with a couple of friends. As we walked in we were greeted by, I believe he was the manager, he said hi, how many? Do you have any reservations? we said 3 of us and no reservations, this guy asked how long are we going to be? Are you having dinner, appetizers, drinks? We were confused at all the questions, so we just said appetizers and drinks, so he sat us at a table and sent a server over to take our order, served our meals and wouldn’t leave us alone, kept asking if we were all set, took plates away immediately and came back to rush us out the door. One of the worst experiences at any establishment. We will never return. Place sucks.

I chose the Iron Works Tavern for a special event recently. The upstairs is absolutely gorgeous with beautiful woodwork rich with architectural detail. The food and service were outstanding from the crudités and dip presentation/display to the passed apps to the pasta. Lori and her staff run a first class operation. Highly recommend the IWT for your personal and professional functions. Outstanding!

I was really pleased to find this restaurant attached the Hilton Garden Inn and after eating here I was even more pleased. Not just super convenient! A great beer selection and a really friendly staff. I thought the service was excellent and my order came out very quickly. There were a lot of tempting dishes on the menu, and I ended up having the linguine with clam sauce. Even the bartender agreed it smelled really good. And it was very tasty, neither too heavy or too salty with generous pieces of clams. I’d definitely eat here again if I were in the area.

Great restaurant located next to the Hilton Garden Inn & across from TF Green, and with plenty of parking. The décor was very nice, the service was great, and the food was delicious. I tried the French onion soup and for my entrée had phyllo wrapped shrimp, which is 3 large shrimp stuffed with crab meat wrapped in phyllo dough server with rice and asparagus. Very unique and very tasty! The Mac and Cheese is also delicious. Didn’t have a drink but the drink menu looked intriguing. Will definitely come back.

We visited Iron Works Tavern to enjoy the Providence Restaurant week menu. It was my first visit here and the ambiance of the restaurant was very cool, has the appearance of an updated factory with modern finishes. There was a small lunch crowd and we were seated quickly. Service was generally good but somewhat slow considering how few people were dining. We all loved our appetizers… Caesar salad and New England Clam Chowder were excellent and highly recommend trying one or both! As for the main meals, we were divided in our feelings on the dishes. The swordfish catch of the day was excellently done and served with well prepared green beans and rice. The Mac and cheese(tavern special) looked delicious but did not have much of a taste disappointingly so two of us were bummed. The Thai fajitas were beautiful and fairly tasty as well. We also liked our desserts of a generous portion… chocolate mousse and cheesecake. Tips: This restaurant is easily accessible via TF Green airport and the attached train station(walk across the above ground bridge to the rental car garage and cross the street!). They have a gorgeous private upstairs space available for private events and parties… groups up to 125! Would love to be invited to an event here. They have dog goodie bags for $ 5 with homemade treats for any furry friends you had to leave at home!

Because this restaurant is connected to the Hilton Garden Inn, I will likely eat here again. I love the name, and the inside has a neat look to it. The beer selection is very good. Plenty of craft beer to choose. The food is average. I had the braised short rib. It did pull apart easy, but was not as tender or tasty as it appeared. This was the most highly recommended menu item from the waitress.

Nice restaurant attached to Hilton hotel. Normally those are not this nice! Great bar! I ordered room service the first night & French dip was just ok and wish I would have gone to pick it up to save the huge extra charges. The second day I had Cesar salad with scallops bye scallops where burned on one side. Last day I had blackened salmon Cesar which was AMAZING!!! Others at table tried it and all were impressed!

What a nice surprise! I popped in here today for a late lunch after checking in next door at the Hilton Garden Inn. It was 3:00pm at the start of Happy Hour, which I didn’t realize until my server came over to introduce himself and hand me a regular menu and a Happy Hour menu. Happy Hour runs 3−6pm, and includes a nice assortment of appetizers. I opted for the Mushroom Flatbread. Holy moly, Batman! That flatbread was HUGE, but best of all, it was über tasty! It could have fed 3 people… honestly. I wrapped up my leftovers, and it’ll be a big breakfast for me tomorrow morning. The thing about Iron Works Tavern is that it’s more of a gastro pub than it is a «regular ol’ tavern». Sure, they have burgers, but they’ve got a lot more than that including a large assortment of seafood items. Oh, and it’s not stuffy. It’s truly a pub, but come prepared to spend more time perusing the menu that you would at most pubs simply because there are so many fantastic options. The interior screams«pub!» with the dark woods, cool bar, and exposed brick, but your belly will say you just ate a fine meal. Check it out, and don’t worry about putting on your fine duds. This is a jeans kind of place. You’ll be just fine!

We were staying at the adjacent Hilton Garden Inn and stopped in for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised with the food and though the ambiance was a bit dark(no outdoor seating), the space itself is Industrial yet comfortable(booth seating always a plus). Ericka was our server and took great care of us. We got the blackberry margarita, stoli doli, the burger with bleu cheese and bacon, a littlenecks and mussels special, calamari, potato chips, and a wedge salad with scallops. We probably over ordered but it was nice to try fresh seafood from the area. Presentation was good and cocktails arrived in a timely manner. The place started to fill up as the afternoon went on. I don’t know the next time I will find myself here but if you’re staying in Warwick it’s a solid dining option and I’d imagine a decent place for some late night drinks. Parking lot is free or you can walk from the hotel as we did. It’s actually connected I think but we walked outside along the sidewalk. Total before tip $ 112 for two.

I don’t know much about the Warwick restaurant scene but this place was bumping on a Friday night! They even had live music! Our waiter was really attentive, but whoever was making the food was… not so much: I had a pretty sloppily assembled burger. I know, it’s just a burger, but I don’t think the patty even made it onto the bottom bun. Maybe they should label it as «deconstructed» on the menu, or maybe a toothpick would fix the problem! After I stacked it back together, though, it was juicy and satisfying. I would recommend ordering something you know you’ll like when you come here and you’ll leave happy – for example, they had a risotto special served in a squash when I was here, and it looked a little funky, although it’s cool that they have vegetarian specials. Make sure you really like bacon if you get the bacon-infused meatloaf! Overall, this is a solid American hotel restaurant. I might go here again if I’m ever starving and cruising through Warwick(again), but that’s a situation I’d like to avoid!

What a wonderful restaurant! Came here as part of the 2015 restaurant week, but my wife and I enjoyed it very much and would likely return, even without the benefit of a prix fixe menu. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very pleasant; it has a distinctive industrial feel with lots of brick. Tables are spaced far enough apart that it never felt too loud while dining. On to the food! For appetizers we tried both the buffalo chicken dip and the steamed mussels. Both were good, but the mussels weren’t anything out of the ordinary. I would strongly recommend the buffalo chicken dip and it can easily be shared. For entrees I had the braised beef short rib. It was delicious and the meat was very tender. The regular price of most of the entrees was about $ 20. Although the food was good, there is probably a slight premium since the restaurant is attached to a hotel with a captive audience. We both ordered cocktails, myself the Tennessee kid, and my wife the ginger margarita. The cocktails were $ 9 each and were a little disappointing at first glance as they were served in small glasses; however, despite their diminutive size, both drink were of an appropriate strength suitable for a one cocktail evening. In conclusion, the Iron Works Tavern is a great restaurant serving very good american food. If you are staying in the attached Hilton hotel and are unfamiliar with Warwick then it’s a great choice for dinner. As previously stated, the prices are near $ 20 for an entrée, so if you are looking for inexpensive or a quick bite, this probably isn’t the spot for you. But, if you are looking to relax for an evening and enjoy some culinary delights, you’re in the right place.
