Avacado Bomb is the bomb! All the rolls were amazing. The seaweed and diakon salad was delicious too.

Super tasty, fresh sushi. In addition to the standard rolls and things, they have some soy paper wrapped rolls. A good example is the«Snow roll» with crab, asparagus, avocado, tempera shrimp, cream cheese, lettuce, and a yummy, slightly spicy sauce. The server was very attentive and friendly– it seemed genuine rather than working for the tip, but regardless, it was delightful to be greeted, talked to, and wished well as we left to walk on the beach. Overall, a very enjoyable evening!

Another great meal. Order an avocado bomb as soon as you sit down, because on a Friday or Saturday night, it’s going to take a while to get your food. My one complaint: why don’t you add another sushi chefs on Friday and Saturday? I fear that a sushi restaurant that tells you it’s going to take an hour to get sushi, so you’ll want to order appetizers, is not going to last!

My first time coming to this restaurant the food was good but the service was better. Our waitress, I believe her name was Carlina? Was way friendly. She was a little busy when we arrived due to her being the only server there, but she handled it so well and kept the smile on her face! If you come to this location she is worth asking for!

Seriously the BESTSUSHIEVER. Hubby & I would NEVER go anywhere else. It’s fresh, delicious & prepared to perfection. Surfers point, my Sancha & feta tuna… AMAZING! The wait can be a bit long for the food so get there when they open. U won’t regret it!

Small sushi place close to the beach. We’ve tried everything on the menu over the past three years. We have REALLY tried to support a local small business, but every time we go, the wait for our food is a min of 45 – 60 min(no matter when we go(in the middle of the week or the afternoon) Last night our last dish came two hours after we sat down. I’m sad to say, the quality of the food has declined as well. It is no longer worth the expensive bill. We will not be returning.

Our server was so attentive. Joel. We sat outside in the patio and it was such a wonderful day with beautiful weather. The restaurant is more of a Korean-Japanese style, so tons of unique rolls to order. Parking can be a bit of a PITA if there is an event.

I’ve heard so many great things about this place from my mom so we decided to check it out tonight. I ordered the Dragon Roll and it was definitely one of the best I’ve had in awhile! My mom ordered the standard Salmon Roll which came out first and mine came out a bit after hers but it was worth it! The service was very good and friendly. The space is rather small though and they are closed from 3−5p. But overall great place and I will definitely be back!

Great service, good staff. I came in at closing and they still took the time to get me what I wanted and were really cool about it. everything tasted super fresh and fantastic. Glad I walked over. One of the best decisions I’ve made today.

Never did I think I’d find a place that combines my love for sushi and my love for avocados, but the Sushi House does it! The avocado bombs are awesome! We also has the tiger roll and the pierpont. Tiger was good, but the pierpont was really good! I look forward to trying more rolls here!

Avo and sprouts on the $ 5 yellowtail and salmon house rolls. And then there’s the surfers point roll…

Best sushi experience of my life! Every roll was beautifully unique, fresh, and absolutely delicious! The Hawaiian and the Sunset roll with real crab were the best. Awesome beach outdoor setting. Couldn’t have been better!

W I would be happy to give them 4 stars but the wait for our food was ridiculous. Although once it got it was Excellent! I will definitely be back. Hopefully they will be better staffed or I can just know there be a wait but well worth it

The sushi is great and the location is killer, on the beach. I was impressed with the food until I got the chicken teriyaki bowl 2 times now, first time was filled with onions, I ate it it was ok. I ordered it again yesterday and I said no onions, lady on the phone said there’s no onions just veggies, I picked it up took it home and it’s filled with onions, yuk, and there forgot my California roll, I would understand if they were busy but they weren’t. Drove back and got my new food and Cali roll, got home and still onions under all the chicken. Ether they use pre mix d veggies with onions in it and they tried to pick the onions out or they just picked out my pins and gave me back the same plate. I might give it another try cause the avocado bomb was the BOMB, and it’s across the street from my house.

Great sushi! Avocado bombs do not disappoint! Small restaurant but the food leaves a big impression. Our waiter was very personable and our food came out quickly! Perfect location by the beach.

Can’t believe that I can finally say this, but The Sushi House is probably the best sushi joint in all of Ventura County, hell it’s in my top 3 Ever! I hope that says a lot, I’m a sushi freak, eating sushi at least once a week, this spot simply cannot be beat. Made the mistake of coming on a Friday night and we left seeing how long the wait was. I vowed that I had to give this place a shot after hearing all of the hype around it. Lunch on a Tuesday seemed safe haha plus they have Tuesday happy hour specials so I knew it was meant to be. Location: 5 stars! Right next to the beach this place is a slam dunk, nothing beats sushi and then a walk to the ocean. The overall décor of the restaurant is darling, simple, clean, and«cute» haha. Felt very intimidate inside and now I have a clearer view on why it gets packed so quickly. Service: 5 stars! Seated right away. Our server was very nice, having it been his first day id say he handled better then most do months in. Chefs were friendly as well, quick, presentation was beautiful, and we got a nice goodbye on the way out, what more could you ask for? Lastly the food: clearly 5 stars to have made it to my top 3 best sushi joints. At the end of the day the place could have been a complete dive but if the foods good I’ll always come back. Everything on the menu looked out of this world, made it so hard to pick what we wanted. I’m sure everything here is amazing. Recommendations: surfers point roll! Probably one of the best rolls I’ve ever had in my life, no rice made it 10⁄10! Anything with spicy crabmeat and chili oil is sure to be a favorite. Baked lobster roll: baked langoustine over California roll was heavenly, huge pieces of meat yet not over cooked like so many places make the mistake of doing with a baked roll. Mexican roll: this one was my mans favorite and he’s a tough critic! The tapatio sauce on top made him very very happy :) Lastly the avocado bomb, I won’t say more just do it!!!

This place is amazing! The space itself is very open and nice. The staff there we’re so nice and attentive outs. But let’s get to the good part… The food! The gentleman at the counter asked us if we had been there before and we said it was our first visit. He recommended that we try the avocado bombs, thank you sweet baby Jesus that we listened. It was so delicious… It’s as just perfect, each bite was a taste of heaven. We also tried the crunch roll and was so happy with it that we ended up ordering another. Also on our menu was the tempura California roll. Yummy! I’ve never tried that roll as tempura and was pleasantly surprised to how good it was! We are already planning on our next visit!

Amazing sushi. Amazing location. What more could you need? The Sushi House is tucked away on this tiny little beachside street amongst other restaurants where you are literally a minutes walk from the beach. My girlfriend and I discovered this place looking for a local sushi place in Ventura. Luckily, we saw that Sushi House has an all night happy hour on Tuesdays; we were sold. Not only is their sushi high quality but their happy hour is actually a good deal. $ 2 coors/bud lights, $ 5 avocado bombs(we’ll get to that later…), $ off a special roll for the night(which rotates every week). They have an excellent selection of rolls that don’t conform to just one style. Ventura roll & ninja vs samurai are our favs. If you do come here and you have to try one thing, I would suggest the Avocado Bomb. Take a whole avocado, split it in quarters, take out half of the avocado from the quarters and replace it with crab meat, put spicy tuna for the pit, wrap it I’m tempura and deep fry it, drizzle spy mayo and eel sauce and you’re done… Need I say more. Looking for that local sushi place to fulfill your sushi cravings, Sushi House is that place!

Very welcoming restaurant! I love the outdoor/indoor seating combo, perfect for the beachy district. Our server, Mallory was super chill and attentive. Always checked in to make sure we were«good.» My fiancé and I ended up order the most popular appetizer, Avocado Bomb(pls refer to my pics). You HAVE to order Thai dish-it’s a combination of fresh, sweet, savory with a hint of crunch from the deep fried tempura mix-ask for extra eel sauce with a side of hot sauce… You’ll thank me later! The two Specialty Rolls, plus a glass of Chardonnay and a small Shaparo, total came to about $ 44a+$ 6 tip=$ 50 for a Sunday date night. Will we be back, sure most likely because the customer service is awesome and we love the area for food and to chill. Come in and try their specialty rolls! You won’t regret it!

* Charming Japanese beach house serving exceptional and delicious dishes with fresh ingredients. * Great service * Obviously you have to order the famous Avocado Bombs, we loved the mackerel, My Sancha, Santa Cruz. Thought the Ninja vs. Samuri was too wet.
