What a great little restaurant. This is the first time i went there and wow what great food and service. There lunch special for pizza and drink for $ 7.95 was fantastic thin crust home made sausage. The spaghetti and meat balls were tender and had a great sauce. The spumoni ice cream was the best i had to date. You know me if the place is no good ill tell you. Go there you wont be disapointed. They could spruce up the place a litle like red and black table clothes etc. Ask for isaiah a great waiter!!! Being on Seaward a stones throw from the Beach!!!

Great«date night» ambiance. You get the mom and pop feeling all around because of it’s cute and small size of an establishment. The younger busser/server is really nice and made us feel very welcomed, he always checked up on us to make sure we were okay or needed anything. He was very personable and had great customer service! The FOOD: Five Stars* My bF ordered the 4 Cheese house lasagna, THEBEST lasagna we have ever tasted! The layers of cheese was just full of flavor with every bite. He ended up cleaning his plate, it was thaaat good. I ordered the flat egg noodles w/chicken, porcelini mushrooms with a tomato cream sauce with added parm cream sauce. YES, I made it my own sauce by mixing the best of both worlds and that sauce was so delicious!!! Nice, creamy and full of different flavors, then topped it off with chili pepper flakes and tabassco! The house bread is just okay, if they added some spice to it, I think it would help the bland flavor. The fresh, homemade like italian food was delicious but when we got our bill, we were over charged an extra glass of wine, our sever Connie felt bad, so we sub’d it for a desert dish. ***NOTE: always check your bill… even after 2 glasses of wine. I caught that. Will we be back, most likely. Because the food was delicious and the overall ambiance of the restaurant, very cute, intimate and romantic.

We split a chicken Marsala dish; the sauce was outstanding, chicken was okay and our side dish was angel hair pasta. yummy! Soup and salad were good and I add a star for outstanding service; our waiter was grrreat! We live almost around the corner and my friends brought us here for the first time. What an excellent surprise. Will definitely eat here again!!!

Two words… seafood risotto. Amazing. Great little neighborhood Italian joint. Pizza is excellent. Then take your hunny for a romantic«walk» on Pierpont beach.

DONOTGOHERE! I have been here twice now and completely forgot about my first experience which was just as bad. First of all, they are called a Pizzeria. But this is only available on their dinner menu when they are open for lunch too. Also, I ordered their«Proscuitto Pannini» and it was not that at all. The ham was the Oscar Meyer, store-bought, processed ham. Not the italian cured ham. This was what was served both times I went. They also sprinkled store-bought shredded mozarella cheese on the sandwich… not melted like a panini should be. Lastly, I ordered the cannolis. And I know I am not in Italy, but these were(4) small cannolis filled with a cottage-cheese textured ricotta filling with stale chocolate chips mixed in. No flavor and a very disturbing consistency. Not creamy at all like cannolis should be. I almost think this place should be shut down. Nice server… but that is about all I have to say about this place.

Had the pizza and liked it alot. It’s a fresh thin crust pizza. Best pizza I’ve had in a 45mile radius. Could be better in ingredient and taste but I’m a native newyorker and know good pizza. Will be back to try some real dishes. Bread at the table wasn’t worth it. And the dip was a vinegar type dip which wasn’t all that.

I wasn’t impressed with the food or service. We came in for a late lunch(about 2 pm on a Saturday. We were the only ones there and had to call to get the server’s attention. My husband ordered Spaghetti with meat sauce. I ordered spaghetti with meat balls. His sauce was yellow not red. Supposedly it was because the meat changed the color of the sauce. Mine was red, but light in the sauce. I don’t know if the owners changed, but now they have Mexican food in addition to Italian food. I would not recommend this to anyone.

Somehow, we stumbled on this place in March, 2013 and enjoyed a great pizza and some fantastic lasagna. Great service and easy parking on the street nearby. For Ventura, this place is way above average.

Not sure how this place is getting good reviews. We got a pizza which tasted like it was a frozen store bought pizza and a risotto which was undercooked and mixed with canned vegetables. We thought it was going to be a nice Italian restaurant, but the food was not very good and our server was wearing shorts and a t-shirt. We ordered one small salad and they split it and charged us for a large. Dressing tasted like pure mayonnaise. Seriously don’t understand how this place has a 4-star rating on here. Only positive: location, that’s it.

Stumbled across this little place about 3 years ago. It is the best little hole in the wall you will ever go to. The interior is a little rough, but it adds so much to the little town charm and feel of the place. The bread was definitely my favorite part of everything! It was so fresh that it was still hot and steaming when you opened the towel up. It had herbs in it and they had this great olive oil and vinegar mixture with herbs. I would go there every day of the week. The service of was so friendly and made me feel like family.

My family and I rented a beach house for a week and we ate here 6 – 7 times over the week. The pizza is terrific. The pasta dishes were enjoyed by everyone that tried them. I ate the calamari like 4 times and I have been craving it all week. The staff were extremely noice and friendly, it turned into our little hang out. The owner is the chef and takes pride in his food. He had differnt specials during the week and they were all great. This is a family type of atmosphere where everyone makes you feel at home. I will be back here as much as possible!

My first time here, an I had the polenta with scallops– amazing! Ambience is ok, nothing special. Prices are reasonable, and the menu is large with lots of variety. I look forward to coming back.

Went here the other night with a certificate from that they are no longer honoring, but they at least offered us a smaller discount instead. We ordered a pizza and risotto that came out very fast, but it was apparent why. Our risotto was good, but undercooked. The pizza, which was pretty soggy for such a thin crust, wasn’t special either. However, it was a pretty good sized portion at least. We heard the tiramisu was good, but decided to cut our losses and pass.

Food was so so but the service was pretty bad, never refilled our waters, the food took forever to come out, the server was rude and never bothered to check on us. Won’t be coming back.

We went back to Ventura last week for a visit, after being gone for over a year. We stayed at the Inn at the Beach on Seaward which is a nice place to stay and then went next door to our all-time favorite restaurant, Cappeletti. We had always had good food there and were excited to go back. We were not dissapointed: great food, great service as consistent as always. Prices are excellent too. Capeletti is on a street that leads straight to the ocean, with funky restaurants and a real beachy atmosphere. mhhh… maybe we better move back soon!!!

Way better then the place across the street. Dont let looks fool you. This place looks a bit older then its competitor, but the food and service is ten times better. They have a larger menu selection and larger portions. They have pizza, and pasta you would expect, but the Steak, lamb chops and fish are a nice addition. I had the lamb chops and were some of the best ever. They will also customize pizza anyway you like it, I had them spell out I love you in olives for my girl friend. They have good beers on tap and a good wine selection.

Disclaimer: I typically don’t go crazy for pasta, but get it when I am carbo loading for a bike ride. I probably would have preferred to order the lamb chops… in any case, I got a salad, Chianti, and some lobster ravioli. All were good. The ravioli had a tomato cream type of sauce and nice chunks of lobster inside. I was a bit torn, and almost ordered the four cheese lasagna. Maybe next year. All in all, a god restaurant and nearby the motel. The staff were also friendly and prompt.

It’s a hole-in-the-wall with surprisingly good food. We live in Santa Barbara, but were in Ventura for our anniversary and decided to try something new. The wine was disappointing. My partner sent it back twice before ordering beer. It could have been a fluke, or maybe wine isn’t their forte. I had the chicken pizza with cashews and cilantro and barbecue sauce. It was FANTASTIC! We rarely eat our leftovers, but this pizza was an exception. The tiramisu was also very good. My partner had a pasta dish that was unremarkable only because it wasn’t unusual. It was very tasty.

I really would give this place a 10 star review if I could simply for their service and attitude. The owner and his son are amazing, and the food is spectacular! I ordered some stuff that was not on the menu and they had no issues with it or us(all my family). They took care of all our needs and our kids, and went beyond what other places have done for me in the past. It is at a great location — very close to the beach, lots going on and such an amazing feel to the place. Go check it out.
