Legend International Transport

The team at Legend international movers should be trusted with your prize possessions and key items. I recently started a job which located me from LA to Vancouver Canada. They sent a guy who was very very helpful and informative. Telling me key things so I do not have problems at customs or with travel in general.
Even when I hit a problem with financing they lowered the price to help accommodate my move. They held on to my goods for a month without charge and they got my PC across which is my livelihood. If I lost that, that would of been huge but the people at legend took care of the PC and shipped it in a reasonable time.
The only thing that broke was a Wine glass. One wine glass and that to me is nothing. So Thank you International for being a shining light in a industry so plagued with bad service and outright scams.
The other catch is that Legend will ship to the country but has sub contractors that operate locally in your country you are moving to. I wish I knew this but the cost was covered for this pipeline and nothing changed in original pricing, if anything I got a good service for a reduced price.
This company earned my trust, earned my business and I will tell my friends to use this service if they need to be international contractors as well.

My fellow Unilocalers… if the word «Moving» makes your stomach turn and is associated with lots of horror stories, fear and scams, I’m here to tell you that there is a guiding light in this sea FULL of sharks.
Not only LEGEND INT’L were friendly & courteous & polite over the phone, they were honest, upfront and communicative about everything. They were MORE expensive than other companies, and when I told them the rates I got from other companies, they advise me to ask certain questions… «SHOCKINGLY», when I did, it turned out that their quotes really did «FORGET» to mention those mysterious charges…
PARTICULAR:
My move was not the most complicated, but was not easy either, with multiple pick up locations, some storage which I did not anticipate, and shipping to 2 different cities upon destination, they handled it as if its was another lunch break. I told them I will do my own packing (which I swear was my intention!!!) but when they came and realized I barely finished half of my packing they quickly offered to go thru the place, estimate a quote for them to pack the rest, removing that stressful moment off of me. the estimate was reasonable, and they effortlessly packed up the remaining of my goods, loaded onto 20′ container which was waiting outside, transported to Port, shipped and delivered to both addresses.
In the end, not only they gave me a better deal and service, but I had NOTHING damaged! which is unheard of! I truly expected a crack or something! But I guess that’s what you get when dealing with the good guys…
Although the move was completed 2 months ago, I just got an e-​mail asking if I was satisfied and if I would be willing to post a good review?
Seriously? I apologize for NOT posting one without you asking!
All in all, I would highly recommend!

My cousin moved to the uk. We hired legend international to ship his things. Izzy was very helpful! Everything arrived on time, and intact! It couldn’t have possibly been easier! Thank you so much for your help.

My parents used them for relocating and I cant complain at all. The service was great, and pricing was much better than other companies we looked for.
parents moved from California to the Philippines and had a full 20′ container. Legend did all the packing, and except for one broken vase (which i hated anyway :)), everything arrived and on time. packing took only a few hours, and there were no delays in the shipping or delivery.
the local folks in the Philippines provided excellent service and even came back a few days after the delivery to take out all the leftover boxes and packing material.
i would highly recommend Legend International!

We hired Legend International to move our household from California to England.
Legend claims to provide a door-​to-​door service. This was not our experience.
After our shipment reached the UK, there were at least 2 sub-​contractors assigned and I had to deal with them directly, with little support from Legend. As well as this, UK based storage, handling and final delivery costs were twice that quoted originally by the Legend sales person. This was not negotiable.
There also was a mix-​up related to insurance coverage and what was meant by door to door coverage. In the end, Legend stated in email that they were not an insurance company after selecting insurance for us.
Lastly, the original sales person was surly, condescending and defensive. This person in one email, implied that he would wash his hands of the whole transaction, leaving me to deal entirely with the UK based section. He was removed from the case it would seem, and replaced by a more senior person.
Finally, the UK end under-​staffed the final move of our furniture (margins are eroding) to our new home leaving us with lots of unpacking to complete and boxes to dispose of.
On this basis, I would not recommend Legend International of Van Nuys, California.

In a move from LA to San Miguel de Allende, MX their sales manager himself sold me an insurance policy for $ 2700 (Allowing me to not have to inventory everything!) and it required DOOR-​TO-​DOOR transport. They shared the van with another family going to Mexico City. BUT, when they got to the border, they transferred the load to a MX mover and VOIDED the insurance coverage. They stonewalled my many requests in writing an didn’t return my phone calls. Their delivery records showed SIX boxes missing and they, nor the MX company, did nothing to recover my loss boxes including going to the other family that shared the van and probably had them.
THE MOVING INDUSTRY NEEDS REGULATIONS TO PROTECT CUSTOMERS. THAT’S WHY WE ARE FORCED TO PAY 100% UP FRONT… THEY HAVE ALL THE LEVERAGE!
