Good food and the customer service was great. The pupusas are one of one best items to get here. The ladies are always friendly.

This place is good. Their Food is good pupusas are really good and fresh. Their bread isn’t the best as it gets stale really fast. I’ve only bought a birthday cake once from this location. It wasn’t the greatest. Food is really good a bit pricey, their bread not the greatest. This place is always hot so I never eat in there. We always take our food to go.

I’ve eaten food from here twice. Both times I ate only from the bakery. It was much fresher the first time, but the last time was so bad I had to throw the pandulce away when I got home! Also, the customer service is not the best. The girls working the counter seem disinterested in their jobs. The lack of yummy consistency is why I give this place only 3 stars. Also, the parking is difficult since the lot is so small. I would try to park nearby on the streets.

Amazing! Everything is made fresh daily. They have sweet bread galore, pupusas in the most common flavors that are bigger than your head, and other foods that are typical in the salvadorian culture. The parking sucks but the food is worth it.

Hands down best pupusas in town! The bread is good too but we mostly go for the pupusas. They are always fresh made and taste delish. My only complaint is the parking. Parking lot is small and almost always full. Another draw back is the line. Very long wait sometimes.

The Worst service ever I went to buy a cake today for my little sister and the girl yelled across the room about not touching the boxes of cakes with a very rude tone of voice. First of all there’s no sign anywhere in regards to touching the boxes and second of all there’s no reason for yelling what are we animals. I don’t know who the owner is but please be sure to hire girls with good customer service skills who make the customer feel welcome, the girls working there are obviously not trained.

I have visited another version of this business models. The weakest link in our Salvadorean typical food is the time it takes to cook fresh. Wait times could vary from 40 to 60 minutes. This guys have a model that works. Food is at the ready, Namely the Pupusas are well made, good sized. As any other food from my country it doesn’t compare to the real deal but what we pay for is nostalgia. Great service, good people helping you, a lady seemed a bit bitter but what do you want, she serves the coffee. They also got good bread and stuff. Love it and recommend it.

The pupusas here are filled with a lot of cheese, beans, and chicharron. They have a dozen special which we order at work and if we’re craving salvi food with the family. Yuca and chicharron is very good just double check the order sometimes they don’t put enough chicharron. They also have pan dulce to enjoy there or to take on the go with coffee. I haven’t order a cake there yet but I plan to do so for someone birthday to be able to try them.

Having spent a few weeks visiting relatives in El Salvador and being spoiled rotten with all the 40−50cent pupusas everywhere(and amazingly delicious to boot), I searched far and wide for great pupusas here in the valley via forums, word of mouth, and reviews and many recommended El Carrusel so I took a chance on it. Although the ambiance isn’t at all restaurant-quality, I expected as much since it’s a bakery. They had the basic revuelta and queso con loroco(little flower buds, most people get scared off when they see green in the cheese but it’s delicious) and with a plate of platanos fritos con crema y frijoles you can’t go wrong. These are the closest I’ve found to what my grandmother used to make, and the curtido(like a vinegar-based coleslaw eaten with pupusas) has a good balance of salt and vinegar with a nice crunch to it. Their baked section is great too, lots of goodies to bring home for dessert or a nice morning treat with a cup of coffee. I usually order en route and pick my food up to eat at home since I don’t like eating in their painfully fluorescent atmosphere(not to mention they give the tomato sauce and curtido in plastic baggies, super awkward to serve out of! I spilled sauce on my legs the first time I attempted this, embarrassingly enough). Like others have said, parking is horrendous though, so be prepared to use all your handy-dandy parking maneuvers you learned in driver’s ed and tap into your inner zen.

I use to come here all the time when I was in high school since it was super close by. Parking lot is small only downside. I come here for the pupusas! Always ready to serve. Yumm.

Quick review cuz I was in and out in less then 5 mins… But in that time I ordered coffee(just your avg cup of joe no biggie) and some pan dulce . Ok…I stayed a bit longer and ordered a pupusa to go… on parm with its reseda store… I’m guessing they are they same as they have the same name… And just like reseda location parking is crappy… good look on parking But other then that the pupusa was good and so was the pan dulce… will come back and try the other items when I’m in the area

I’ve been coming to this location for quite some time. I was not aware of a location in reseda. I’ve been coming here for about 7 years now. My mother introduced me to the place. She’s from el Salvador and knows good food when she sees it. To get the negatives of this location out of the way and explain the 4 stars instead of 5 star rating I’ll simply list. 1. Parking is fkn ballz!!! People cannot drive to save their lives in this tiny parking lot more jammed in that the businesses which they serve. 2. No restaurant atmosphere. There are small tables at which you can enjoy your meal but it is directly next to the steam table and fridge and shelves with market materials for purchase. I understand that they are trying to make the best out of a small space but it doesn’t inspire much of a dine in experience. The women ate sweet when you do stay and the area is clean but definitely take it to go. That’s it! 2 drawbacks. It’s all smooth from there. I have tried just about everything on their menu. I enjoy the breads in the bakery. Everything is made fresh on site– hot foods(pupusas, meat dishes, fresh juices, all breads and side dishes) and they take really good care of their customers. It’s often full of people waiting to get served but service is fast and efficient. I’ve never felt offended by the service here. They could use a little help with their English but they genuinely care about the integrity of your food and it can be assumed that there’s just a pack of grandmas Cooking everything with love in the kitchen. I’d rather go here than crappy McDonald across the street.

Love their food but the Reseda location food is better
