Nice owner but need to work on organization, professionalism and time. Had an appt to pick up cupcake order. She left a message to please be «on time» to pick up order night prior. I showed up 30 minutes early. Owner showed up at 1pm. Didn’t say a word just«Hi.» Waited 20 minutes for her to get situated and put my order together. Frosting design in cupcakes were beautiful multi color flowers. Gave directions to carrying cupcakes properly. So talent is definitely there.

I had some sort of «Groupon» for cupcakes. They were super nice on the phone and said they would make ½ vanilla, ½ chocolate. The cupcakes were ready when I arrived, but what a disappointment! If you are used to cupcake shops like Sprinkles, then stay far away. The cupcakes were tiny and there was hardly any frosting. I was assuming that the chocolate would have chocolate frosting, right? But, no, they had put buttercream. The frosting was UGLY! Pastel tie-dye. I asked for more frosting and she seemed upset that it would ruin the shapes already made in the frosting, but i said that I didn’t care what they looked like. She came back having added a tiny dollop in the middle. Why bother. The shop was closed and the sign said they were only open for appointments. They had many models of wedding cakes on display that were very old, dusty and yellow. There were tables with many photo books of sample cakes, but the books were barely held together with tons of tape. Very unattractive and cheap. The worst part was that they put each cupcake, which was already covered by a cupcake wrapper, in a small plastic cup. It was very hard to get the cupcake out of the cup, so i had to eat the frosting first and then the cake. All 12 cups were in a very large cardboard box. So, they wasted all that plastic for no reason and used a huge cake box… such an environmental no-no. Maybe they are good at cakes, but the cupcakes were a total fail and I would never return to order a cake.

I highly recommend this place! I had a last minute order and they were able to make such a beautiful, amazingly tasty custom cake the same day that fed 15 people. When I first walked in I was planning on selecting a pre-made cake, but they had none. Luisa, the sale rep, let me know they could make something custom and to add the cherry on top, it would be ready in 4 hours! She allowed me to use google to source a few images for inspiration. Luisa was so helpful, knowledgable and very creative. I verbally explained other elements that I wanted on the cake and she instantly got it and even added a few recommendations to make it even better. I trusted her judgement and felt comfortable allowing her to explain my idea to the baker and left to get ready for my party. When I returned later the day, I was so excited to see how beautiful the cake came out. It was exactly what I envisioned and more. I went with their marble cake and it was so good. Not too sweet and very moist! I will definitely go back for all my future events! Thanks Luisa! You’re the best.

Not only were the cupcakes insipid and dry, the icing(which was to have been buttercream) was pitiful and tasted worse than Supermarket cake frosting!!! I gave them as a Valentine’s gift and when I checked in on them, I found out this info. When I called the store to complain, I was told to bring the 2-week old cupcakes in. When I explained the situation, they still held firm that i had to bring in the product. Ultimately, I wasn’t going to keep 11 old and dry cupcakes that were attracting bugs any longer than necessary. I certainly will never go back to this establishment, nor would I expect anyone to be satisfied with their customer services. I will stick to Hansen’s cakes where I’ve never had any problems in 20 years!!!

Apparently there cakes maybe good, but worst cupcakes I’ve ever had… Cheap and cold grocery store cupcakes I wouldn’t waste the calories on even if they were free. Upset I wasted my money on such a subpar product!

I had a last minute special cupcake order and they were able to do a rush order on the same day! The cupcakes turned out beautifully and they even wrote a custom message on a clear label.

A co-worker of mine bought a Groupon deal from here. She forgot to pick up the order, which was ready on a Friday evening before a holiday. The bakery insisted she pick up the order although their shop was closed for three days. They gave her 4 day old cupcakes rather than make fresh ones for her. What jerks! Horrible customer service.

This was my first time ordering from Regal cake gallery and it was one of the best choices my husband and I have ever made! The cake was for our sons first birthday so we wanted to make it very special. I called many different bakery’s and emailed them the cake I wanted and every one of them said they couldn’t make it and that I needed to let them know more ahead of time in order to make the cake I wanted. I then called Regal Cake Gallery and I spoke with a very helpful and polite young lady named Risha. She was such a great help. I sent her an email of the cake I wanted and made the order over the phone. It was so easy and fast! Even though it was only 5 days before my sons birthday party they still made the cake EXACTLY how I wanted it and it tasted great! I got so many compliments at the birthday party and I didn’t even get to take any cake home because everyone ate it! I recommend Regal cake gallery to everyone! The customer service is great and the cake turned out amazing and was absolutely delicious!

My husband and I choose Regal Cakes after checking out at several other bakeries for our wedding cake. They were very helpful, easy to work with, willing to make changes and the prices were very reasonable! We wanted a 4 tiered cake with our custom monogram and each layer a different flavor and design. Most places don’t want to go outside their own designs unless you pay them an outrageous amount of money but Regal sat down with us and drew out rough drafts with us until we were happy! The day of the wedding the cake’s design was absolutely beautiful, it was exactly what I had dreamed of! And the taste of each layer was absolutely DELICIOUS! We are very very happy with Regal, plan to use them again and definitely recommend them to all! :-)

Ordering process over the phone was easy. I ordered a bare Torso cake with an erected penis for my cousin’s Bachelorette party. I ordered the Red Velet with Cream Cheese, it was pretty good, moist. Not too sweet. On the other hand, the cake didn’t really turn out exactly how I imagined it’ll look like… I was hoping it was similar to pictures they posted, but it’s okay, it serve its purpose. Had great laughs at cousin’s bachelorette. Pretty pricey, but then again it’s pretty pricey all around for custom made cake. Asian lady warned me about opening the box and instructed me on HOW to open the box so I don’t ruin the cake… I end up ruining the cake because I didn’t followed the instructions carefully…(also was excited to see it) Propped open and the cardboard plop onto the side of the penis… So I got a missing chunk on the side. BUT luckily it’s on the side, it still looks pretty amazing for pictures ! HA ! Pros: — Whatever you want and like… BIG or small. Detailed or not. White, Tan, Black, you name it. They’ll make it for you haha –Red Velvet w/Cream cheese ! –The cake design was… pretty detailed… that’s all I gotta say =) –This bakery is one of the few places in Los Angeles where you can order an exotic cake. Cons: –Pricey, even with Groupon coupon I used. –Parking was a %#$ ! –Traffic coming from Hollywood, was a pain in the @ss !

We ordered 24 cupcakes for my daughter’s b-day and graduation party at 3:00 pm on a Saturday, and at 5:00 pm we picked it up! The order was fresh and ready for us. It was beautifully made, and deliciousness! Thank you Regal for making the cupcakes for us in such a short notice! I bought a coupon in Groupon, so the price was great too.

Had the Living Social deal for 12 Cupcakes for $ 17. I was having a party so decided this would be a good way to take care of dessert. The cupcakes were ready early(perfect because I showed up early) and were beautiful and large — these aren’t dainty little cupcakes. They were a huge hit at the party. I did feel the cupcakes themselves were a little dry and the frosting leaning a little too much towards the«creamy whip» variety, which I don’t prefer. I checked in on Unilocal and they have an offer of a free mini cupcake. When I tried to redeem they told me they no longer have mini cupcakes but they substituted a cake pop. Now, I freakin LOVE cake pops. In fact, you stick anything on a stick and I’ll pretty much eat it. This«white» cake pop was a little dry though. Sadness. But still, a free cake pop is pretty awesome. Parking can be difficult here, like at all businesses on that stretch of Fairfax. If you see a deal for these cupcakes, you might want to grab it. Worth a try.

Dozen Cupcakes for $ 19 is not really a good deal when the cupcakes are just okay. My spouse could make better ones at home using the cake mix from Duncan Hines or Betty Crocker. Far more moist, tastier, scrumptious and delicious especially if you add natural ingredients like strawberries, lemon, coconut, blueberries, etc… Skip the groupon offer and make it at home; otherwise, go hit Sprinkles or another bakery that you know has great cupcakes.

I was set out to be disappointed because their living social description says«more flavors than you can count» and«certain flavors are extra, please see menu» which has a link that takes you to their menu, where they list the flavor and which ones cost more. Well, actually, they ALL cost more except plain buttercream, but they conveniently left that off the description and try to mislead you. Nonetheless, they have several different cake options and you can get a variety pack. I personally liked the lemon cake the best, even though I am a chocolate person. I was going to give them 1 or 2 stars because I was mad about the misleading description, but I ended up being happy with what they looked like(beautiful and simple) and they tasted good(minus the gross generic buttercream that I hate).

I found Regal Cake Gallery with the help of coupons from Groupon. But, their cakes and staff keep me coming back. I’ve ordered 4 cakes and 1 doz cheesecake cupcakes for my office. Everyone has commented how good the cakes are as well as the cupcakes. Everyone I’ve dealt with who works at Regal has been friendly and helpful, especially Reesha. With her recommendation, our first cake order was their lemon cake with raspberry champagne frosting… amazing!

Great Customer Service… We love how yummy the cakes taste! But when my sisters cake arrived it was ½ decorated. Sad because if they actually did it right and weren’t cheap about it I would have given them a 4.5. :(

I bought cupcakes in various flavors and they were all very dry. The cupcakes were not fresh they tasted cold like they had been refrigerated. The lady said she would give me a deal and charge me $ 3 instead of the customary $ 3:50 each. They were awful and not worth the money. I tried Reagl beacuse I have not been happy with the customer service at Hansens but I will go back becuse despite the mediocore customer service Hansens makes a superior product. Furtheremore, Hansens gives free samples whereas Regal charges.

I have been to Regal for all of my cake needs… The first time I encountered them was for my older sister’s wedding, and they didn’t disappoint! For my wedding Rosa and the team made such a beautiful wedding cake I knew I would be using them for all my special occasions. They made an AWESOME batmobile for my 5 year olds bday party, everyone was ranting and raving over the details. Most recently I had a last minute order for a cake and honestly I was content even getting a regular cake. I called and Rosa was so sweet, she asked who it was for and what my little one liked. She made the best Mario Bros cake and did it in less than 5 hours! I would HIGHLY recommend anyone who wants a cake to visit Regal cake. You won’t be disappointed!!!

I haven’t purchased their cake yet. I have only gone cake tasting to see where I plan to buy my wedding cake. I’m surprised after getting all my friends and family to say go to Hansens that Hansens cake was nasty. I didn’t even finish tasting the cake. I honestly thought Hansens cake mixture must be factory manufactured, nothing special about how it taste. I don’t know what was going on that day with them, but even the service was bad. The two young women who were there were not attentive, I was told to just look through the books and if I had any questions to ask, but nothing personal about their service. I went next door to Regal Cake Gallery and Aroya was so attentive, sweet, and kind. Their cake tasted better than Hansens, I liked the texture of the cake and it reminded me of homemade cake. The Pink Champagne cake was great! That will be my bottom layer. What really made me choose them, was the fact that I brought the cake home to my fiancé. I brought both boxes from each place(Hansens and Regal’s) to see what he thought and he threw the Hansen’s box away and said it was nasty and that he doesn’t want to taste anymore. But he enjoyed the flavors of Regal Cake and kept the box. I’ll be back to write another review after my wedding December 29!
