Nika is AMAZING. We communicated exclusively through e-​mail because I have a full-​time job and a one-​year-​old, so phone calls are tough. She responded on time, politely and professionally, even when I requested a cake far outside my budget. She didn’t make me feel embarrassed for not realizing how much a custom shaped cake costs, and worked with me to find an extraordinary cake within my budget. Everyone at the party loved it because, not only was it beautiful, but it was REALLY yummy too! Trust Nika with any of your custom cake needs. Customer service is top-​notch! She’s an exceptional baker.

I usually hate any sweet stuff, but I did need a cake for my debut. I found Nika through Unilocal and I decided to reach out to her because of pricing and her reviews. I looked at some of the cakes that she had done and I though they were very creative.
I reached out to her and she told me I could send her a photo of what I would want my cake to look like. So I sent her a photo and I told her all of the flavors and fillings that I wanted. The cake was the perfect size. I knew that any of the leftover would had to come back to me. But I thought it was super pretty and just what I asked for. It was a 3 tier cake with a bow on top that said «Judielle’s 18^th» as the tag and I thought it was super cute.
I do apologize because the guy who ran my event was very rude to her. But, we couldn’t meet her on time, so she told us we could drop off the check and she was quite understanding.
The cake was absolutely amazing. There were many people who were getting seconds and they loved it. When I took the cake home and started to pick at it, it was delicious! I hate any sweet stuff, but I thought this was delicious and the cake was everything that I pictured!

We just had our twin daughters’ birthday party yesterday. I wanted to get a nice cake and had no idea where to begin. After reading the other reviews, I felt I couldn’t go wrong. I happened to call Nika on Tuesday to see if there was any way I could get a cake by Saturday. She got back to me right away and luckily she had some room to accommodate me. By the looks of her cakes in the reviewers’ pictures and on her website, I felt I could trust her design, so all I did was send a couple of pictures as inspiration, and she took it from there. I was blown away by the finished product. It was gorgeous! It tasted as good as it looked, too. The cake was a hit and I think she may be getting some business in the future from my party guests. I will be a repeat client for sure! And on top of the great cake, Nika was a pleasure to deal with: so nice, accommodating, helpful and professional.

Not only did my cake look so good but it tasted so damn good too! I got the cookies and cream buttercream filling. It was so moist and yummy. Definitely ordering all my cakes from here. Thank you Nika!

Sugar Studio is my go-​to for cakes and cupcakes. You can literally show her ANY design or picture, and she will duplicate it to perfection. I’m a bit late on my review, but she did a Harley Davidson Motorcycle cake for me two years ago, a bridal gown cake for my wedding shower, and matching cupcakes. I can’t imagine going anywhere else. She will work with your selected flavors, designs, and budget! My bridal cake had swarovski crystals on it — that is how detailed and perfect she takes every project. Nika is seriously the best in this industry.

This review is way overdue, but Nika made our wedding cake last May and it was AMAZING. It tasted delicious and looked almost too good to eat! Nika is beyond talented and was such a pleasure to work with. She truly took our vision and transformed perfectly into the most gorgeous wedding cake. It was perfect! Thank you Nika!!!

Have used Nika twice now and have been extremely happy. She has a passion for what she does and you see that in her responsiveness, eye for detail, creativity and the tastiness of her cakes! She is now my go to for birthdays and events and love knowing she also has holiday goodies.

I was tasked with procuring custom cupcakes for my best friend’s baby shower. After a lot of research, I reached out to Chef Nika at Sugar Studio. I love that she asked very specific questions to make sure that expectations were clear, and that I got the exact product I had in mind. She gave great suggestions during our email conversations as well. I really appreciate that Chef Nika always remained pleasant and calm, especially when I was super stressed out about getting the cupcakes just right and driving them from Sherman Oaks to Irvine without them falling apart. The cupcakes ended up being the star of the party. Aside from being SUPER cute, they were delicious! I noticed several people taking photos of them with their phones, and many guests asked if I had extras they could take home after the party. I am definitely using Sugar Studio again!!! We have now ordered two cakes from Nika and both have been amazing! Not only in design but also in taste. She’s fantastic in the design process, very responsive and open to feedback. I would highly recommend Nika and her phenomenal baking skills!

Nika made my daughter’s 1^st birthday cake with 3 days notice. She is normally booked but made the exception for me which I appreciated! The cake was absolutely beautiful and tasted amazing. I will be returning for all of my cakes from now on! Thank you so much for making my daughter’s birthday so special.

Nika was phenomenal all around with my order. She is super fast about responding and very thorough to make sure you know exactly what you’re getting. I asked her to make a carrot cake that was the LA Kings theme and she blew me away. It was also the best tasting carrot cake I’ve ever had. I will be using her again in the future!

I found Sugar Studio on Unilocal and it was one of the best things Unilocal offered me! I was looking for a cake for my sisters 40^th birthday bash ALL 80’S theme and I was having a hard time trusting anyone with the design I wanted for the cake. Luckily, I found this amazing professional who was able to create and bring to life exactly what I was wanting the cake to look like! Not only was it the «talk» of the party but, the taste was to die for! Everything was done to perfection and with lots of consideration, from phone calls to text messages to ensuring me the taste and flavoring for my guests taste buds. I highly recommend Sugar Studio for anyone who is looking for not only taste but presentation of their party sweets. I couldn’t thank her enough for everything and I cant wait to plan another event to have another one of my cakes done with Sugar Studio!

I had been researching different cake bakeries and even went to visit a few but none seemed right. They were either too pricey or couldn’t make my vision of the cake that I wanted come to life. I came across this amazing sugar studio and now I know why it has five stars! Nika was amazing at communicating and making sure I was involved in every step of the making of the cake. She made the cake exactly the way I wanted and her prices are amazing for the sizes of the cake. I definitely recommend her for any event anyone has!

Nika saved my birthday party! What’s a birthday party without a cake!?? My original plans fell through and I had 5 days to get a pretty cowgirl cake that feeds 40!!! My baby girl was turning 1 and I had no cake! Then an angel named nika responded to my email and worked within my budget and gave me a gorgeous cowgirl cake that was so moist and and fresh (I ordered the chocolate with fresh strawberries and buttercream) and delicious! She was so sweet and and professional and saved the day! Did I mention not one crumb was wasted??? Nedless to say it was a great find! Will definitely order from her again posting pics now!

I went on Unilocal looking for a cake place in my area. I read the reviews on Nika and I am happy to say that she met all my expectations and more.
I contacted NIka about a last minute cake for my son’s teacher who is retiring. Not only was she great to work with, but she was able to make my deadline and the cake she made was fantastic! I sent a picture of a cake I had seen online, she did it identical. When I was walking into the school with the cake, everyone kept stopping me to ask where I got it from. It was the most awesomest cake in that not only was it so amazing looking, it tasted so yummy too!
I would never use anyone else for my cake needs. I highly recommend her :)

Nika… girl…you hooked my birthday cake up. I had to shed a tear. Honestly, I’m grateful.
Nika has worked in some pretty dope spots as a pastry chef, Bottega Louie being one of them, so no rookies over here! After her last gig came to an end, she grabbed life by the balls and said fuck it… started doing her own thing and she should be very proud of herself. I took a chance, and Voila!!! The best damn hatbox cake I’ve ever seen and TASTED! (Oh…I like hatboxes, btw. So classy and stuff.)

After having my breath taken away when I saw the hat box cake made for Val C., I knew this was the place that would do my specialty mad hatter themed cake.
Nika was prompt and helpful during our numerous emails back and forth. She worked with my budget and my vision. She was able to accommodate me in ways I am so grateful for.
Everything was flawless and beautiful. The cake was the talk of the baby shower. The only con was the taste of the cake. The red velvet cake texture was a bit soggy and dry, if that’s at all possible.
I don’t think anyone minded but me. The décor was just that exquisite, that it didn’t matter.
