I honestly really like the food here. I particularly like the pizza. I like the thick crust. They have redone the inside of the restaurant and it looks really good. Very friendly staff. I have had good experiences every time I’ve been there. Give them a try!

There is a reason it’s a #2. It should be a 1.5 — same name, but nothing close to #1. I was in a hurry, so I went to the closest one – #2. The good: Service Went here last night for dinner. Service was fantastic. Very friendly, accommodating and Just plain nice. It was 5:30 pm on a Friday and there were 3 other occupied tables. Odd, but in a hurry so… The Bad: Spaghetti was awful. This nothing like Pietro’s #1 The sauce was thick, but had little richness or spiciness of a traditional sauce. The meatballs were a blend of veal and? I guessed ground turkey… Serving sizes are huge! It’s enough for 2 dinners. Cheap but not worth it. Note: I’ve been a patron of Pietro’s #1 since I can remember(40 years) so my expectations were to have the same classic food at a different location. Save yourself – just go to Pietro’s #1! It’s down the street, way more popular but serves much better Italian-American comfort food.

One of the best pizzas around! Service can be very good but it also could be slow sometimes. My wife and I have a few waitresses we love to have when eating here, they are amazing and very good at their job. However when they are off and not their the service dips down just a little.

Poor service. Waited for 10 minutes but no one took our order(not even drinks). Dining room was really slow. One server was folding napkins the whole time we were waiting. We left.

1star because we love the garlic bread… The pesto linguine I had tonight had 2 hairs in it and I found them AFTER I had already ate some. SOGROSS! And it had too much pesto sauce on it… I think twice about getting delivery from here again.

Just ordered pizza and cheezy bread via a phone order. All I can say is that the young man who took my phone order was so curt and direct he bordered on being rude; the more I think about it, he WAS rude. He couldn’t wait to get me off the phone even though I tried ordering, successfully, extra items. As I was spelling my last name I was cut off and asked my street address. Do they not care how to spell my name, what about it matching my credit card? I was never asked if I wanted additional items, a drink, a salad, a dessert… nothing. I asked if the delivery time would still be 45 minutes(at 8:06 pm) and was told 45 – 60 minutes. No other explanation was given even though the quoted time is longer than the posted time and it is a Monday night, traditionally the slowest night in the restaurant business. What happened to customer service? What happened to being polite? What happened to making the customer feel important, especially since a portion of my order pays your hourly wage? I absolutely feel like I was intruding into his world by placing an order this evening. I hope this pizza and cheezy bread are great enough to redeem the entire transaction or you’ve lost a customer before I’ve even had a bite! If a manager reads this and would like to discuss this further I would be more than happy to respond to an email. Pizza and bread delivered at 9:06pm. The large pizza was huge! It had five different types of meat and was quite good!

This is a Vacaville tradition! My favorite is the Gino special and Super special pizzas. This has been a family favorite for pizza delivery for 40 plus years. The owner, Theresa works hard to make her customers happy! She always is welcoming and makes you feel like part of the family. Don’t forget that minestrone soup and some garlic bread for dipping!

Just got back from restaurant… very good food. The pizza was great but could have used a little more time in oven for the crust. The pasta was great according to my wife and she is very picky. The ravioli was hand made and that was awesome. The server was very nice. good service. Overall ambient feeling was good. Will come back!!!

Best pizza i have ever eaten! Family salad was delicious & the salad dressing was home made. Ingredients fresh from their garden. Sausage so fresh! 40 year old establishment that is excellent! The family was so nice & inviting! They all came out to check on us! I will go back again for sure!

When I first moved to Vacaville and discovered Pietro’s No. 2, my first thought was, «Is this a sequel restaurant?» Sure enough, it is. What I don’t understand is why it’s just a hop, skip and a jump away from Pietro’s No. 1 and neither restaurant seem to acknowledge the other. I’ve heard that they’re technically separate restaurants due to some sort of family feud years ago, but I really don’t know if that’s true. What I do know is that the pizza here is amazing and this location’s interior has a lovely touch of old Italy. It’s a beautiful place to dine in. I admit I actually prefer the pizza at No. 1 a bit more, but I still come here from time to time as it is very good in its own right too. Great service, great food, awesome interior equals a happy pizza lover.

Super disappointed. Came in before the rush and I guess the kitchen wasn’t ready. Husband’s Clam chowder was way over salted and mostly just cream. Missed the potatoes and clams. My salad was wilted. I had to pick out some pieces that were only good for compost. When our entrees arrived, we were nearly grossed out. His lasagna looked like a hot mess with cheese melted on top, and my canneloni wasn’t much better off. Both lacked any flavor beyond stewed tomatoes and salt. For nearly 20 $ a plate, we really expected a taste of italy. Instead we got Chef Boyardee.

Pizza is ok. Service was really bad. We reserved the back room for a very special occasion, and we were extremely disappointed with the servers. We were 20 minutes late, and they still did not have the room prepared for us. It was a mess. It kinda of ruined our night…

I finally got around to creating a Unilocal account for the sole purpose of leaving a review on Pietro’s #2. On January 14th my company ordered 6 pizzas. About halfway through my first slice I bit into something hard, nearly chipping my tooth. When I pulled it out from under the cheese, it was a 1″ black metal screw. I immediately called the restaurant and notified them of the issue. I barely got an apology or even much of a reaction to the finding. They offered to replace the single pizza that contained the screw. Seriously?! I advised the admin at work not to order from here again and I’ll definitely never personally order their food.

It’s been years since I’ve been here, but some friends and I recently stopped in for a late weekend dinner. The restaurant itself is pretty big, with a separate to-go place off to the right. Surprisingly, there weren’t that many people there for dinner. which should’ve been a sign to us about the food. After checking out the menu, we all decided to go with pasta entrees. I split the full order eggplant parmesan pasta(~$ 13.95half/16.95full order) with a friend, and the plate was definitely a large enough serving for the both of us. However despite the amount of pasta on the platter, there was barely any sauce and the breading on the eggplant itself was quite soggy. The side salad that accompanied it was worse, as it came with an italian dressing that was basically a ramekin full of oil. But the garlic bread was decent, just a bit on the greasy side as well.

Our server was very friendly! We would have liked to see more of her though. She took the order, got it wrong, delivered the food then was gone. Wasn’t till we stood up and started looking around after we finished that we got some attention. The food was all barely edible, uninspired and boring. Our table’s orders were; meatball sandwich, minestrone soup, Caesar salad and BLT. The meatball sandwich is open faced. Two large slabs of roll slathered with orange butter with three meatballs on top smothered in meat sauce. The meatballs are pale, bland and flavorless. No spices or herbs in the oddly pale white meat, which was very dry. It was a lot of food. I would have traded half of it for some seasoning and herbs in those meatballs! The BLT bread and bacon was hard, dry and crumbly too. The minestrone was colorless and flavorless. The croutons in the Caesar were stale and cold like the salad was assembled and refrigerated earlier that day. The French fries were moist, soggy and flavorless. See my other review for their pizza. Very good!
