Mary’s Pizza Shack

Nothing to Bragg about. The meat raviolis were good and the Giant Meatball was a whimp for that price & not that much flavor. The soups were watery but had a home made taste. The waitress pressured us to order Italian bread for appetizers but I didn’t since this is an Italian place ‚& I expect that to come with the meal. The waitress told us to wait when she brought our waters & I tried to order. She then waited on others who came after us several times & went back to the counter to pick up orders before taking mine. She got friendly later but too late ! Damage done. May go back for ravioli or something else but don’t recommend at this time. Service was lousy. Definitely NOT impressed.

We eat here regularly. Good service good food. Only one out of five delivery orders was subpar, terrible actually. Skimpy toppings etc — Should have called for a refund. So 80% chance of a good meal. Not bad for most restaurants lately. Especially in Vacaville.

Upon entering with my family we weren’t greeted or acknowledged. We were passed 3 times by a waitress and other workers behind the counter. No one said hello or we will be right with you. In addition, it wasn’t packed and there was no one else waiting. The place didn’t looked crowded at all.
Since this was my first time here I was disappointed. We waited for service and ended up leaving because of the poor customer service.

We stopped here to eat on the way back from Sacramento. The kids kept seeing their billboards on the freeway and they wanted pasta. So we decided to give it a try. We were seated right away but that is all that went right.
We sat with menus for over 20 minutes and kept staring at all the wait staff that walked by us. After 10 mins of waiting, we set a limit of 10 mins more. At the 18^th min, one of the waitress started asking if anyone had taken our order to the other waiters. Then there was a discussion between a few waiters a few feet away from of us of who was going to help us. Finally, someone said they would get us our drinks. Someone came and took our drink order. Then someone came and took our food order. The salads arrived 10 mins after we ordered then we waited for over 40 mins for our food. Our waitress kept telling us the food was coming. I don’t know why it takes over 40 mins for spaghetti and a bowl of soup. Meanwhile the kids were losing their mind about how hungry they were. Finally the food came out… it was cold. The people there seemed nice but we will not return!

Got out of a movie at Brenden and had an hour or so for late dinner. Didn’t want to give up parking spots by the theater, so it was either this or sushi for $$.
First time at a Mary’s Pizza Shack, have seen/​heard the ads though. Apparently they’re all over Napa, Solano and Yolo county, even Placer but not Sacramento! Go figure.
Didn’t pay too much attention to the specials menu this time.
Basket of breadsticks (6) comes with your choice of butter, pizza sauce, ranch or blue cheese dressing to dip.
We also got the Large (16″, 10 slices) Toto’s Combination: everything on it… Salami, pepperoni, cotto salami, linguica, Italian sausage, mushroom, onions, bell peppers, black olives and pizza sauce. $ 29 and some change. Regular crust (although you can ask for thin or thick), they also can do half and half.
This was an okay meal, probably could have just gotten away with a medium sized pizza (ended up taking a little less than half the pizza home). The dough had a nice taste and texture although wasn’t cooked as well on the bottom so the slices didn’t have as much structural integrity, some topping loss due to gravity. I wish the onions were cooked more, the white ones tend to lend the more raw taste too.
Filled me up, Diet Pepsi provided caffeine for the road home. Pay at the cashier.

Never had a complaint in many visits here. Service, food, Happy Hour, excellent.

Seriously good food … BUT they never deliver on time… NEVER! This is the third time I’ve ordered delivery and they (again) are over 30 min late and counting. Every time I’ve asked them just to call if they are going to be late. I mean you think it would be common curtesy?! They always offer me «compensation» but that’s not what it’s about. I’ve never taken it… I just ask for them to get my food here on time. Or give me a heads up if it’s not coming on time.
The manager Nick said they were rushed with a bunch of orders in the last 45 min BUT I placed my order over an hour ago! Placed my order at 7:14pm, had an estimated delivery time of 8:14. I called at 8:44 to see how much longer and he said 15 – 20 more min?! And instead of saying your right we should have called; he says «well what do you want? We got busy!»
Not good customer service at all… order finally came at 9pm.

So, who delivers besides Chinese, Mexican, and pizza… Oh right, nobody.
Well, there’s more Chinese, Mexican, and pizza places. (Wash, rinse, and repeat)
It was another cold February evening. I was tired. (Translation: Lazy)
I haven’t had pizza for a while and had yet to try Mary’s Pizza Shack… «So, Mary’s it was!»
Large Pizza (½ Toto’s Combination; ½ Hawaiian Luau; No bell peppers; extra sauce) — Very good; loaded with toppings; flavorful; nice portions
