Really trashy food and super oily. Also the service was extremely slow, and they got my order wrong. The burger was okay, just your average greasy beef burger but my reason for my low rating was the high price on top of all of that heart burn causing food. would have given it a lower rating if it werent in universal studios

Your standard Johnny Rockets in a touristy location. Burger was decent. Onion rings were pretty good. If you’re really looking for a good burger for a few more bucks walk across the courtyard to Strauss and Co. Most annoying about this Jonny Rockets was that we had a party of 8 and they wouldn’t split the check.

We took the kids out to universal city and on the way out we all got a little hungry and needed a snack. So I go into Johnny Rockets(while they were CRAZY busy), and wanted ordered two fries to go. I seriously was scared it was going to take like 15 minutes. The girls in the front were very sweet and literally got them for me within 5 minutes. The fries tasted awesome with ranch! Please note this experience was on a to go order. I have no clue what their actual service is like… But the hostesses totally hooked me up and with my kids waiting that means a lot to both me and my wife!

Went to Johnny Rockets right after the Ellen Degeneres taping. Service could’ve been better it took them a while to stop at our table. Eventhough it was kind of slow since it was on a thursday. Other than that food was great.

OMGosh. Super busy, but the service and server are amazing. Made sure several times if we’re okay. Never a flaw. Yummy food, fair price, great atmosphere. Oscar, thank you.

Dishes were not clean properly. Imitation cheese used instead of real cheese as advertised. Prices are questionably high for what you get.

I don’t usually put up reviews, but I feel like this should get acknowledged. We visited universal studios, and around 2 in the afternoon we decided to get lunch. Arrived at Johnny Rockets: order burgers, and each single one of us got a shake. Two strawberry/banana and one, vanilla milkshake. When each single one of us took a sip, immediately we all thought the milk had gone bad, but when I tasted the food, it had tasted completely off from different Johnny Rockets I have visited so it seemed that everything was ok maybe just different tastes. But no, unfortunately, a half hour later and inside the theme park, my younger sibling, threw up and we had to leave the park. Then on the ride home, all of us had a stomach ache. If four costumers get sick after eating your food, something is seriously wrong in the kitchen. Thank you so much Johnny Rockets for ruining a fun day.

On the upside, I had thought of this chain as just burgers, but exploring the menu they have much more. The food is okay and about the best deal for the $ you will find on City Walk. Staff seems to have a big turn over so they may try, but not really sure of their jobs. If you don’t want to get over charged on your vacation to Universal, then this is the place.

Love Johnny rockets. Thus one at universal studios is by far the worst. 6 of us are and no one ate their meal. Skip this one. Until they change the staff.

I’m not even sure this location deserves two stars, but because I love the chain, I’ll be generous. Luke warm burgers and melted shakes. Ugh I’m sadly disappointed with the atmosphere and service at this location. atmosphere-No one dressed in the traditional uniform, aside from the singing bartender, there was no music traditional to the chain either. There was a sports bar feel, but with all the TVs muted and no listening devices on the table, what’s the point of having the game on. Food-I ordered the spicy Texas burger without the huge tomato. It came with a hard bun un-melted cheese and a huge tomato! Ha! I sent it back to have one exactly as I ordered it, and it came back to me minus the tomato with my bun cracked up on top. The burger was dry, and even with the chipotle mayonnaise it was flavorless. My strawberry shake also left much to be desired(how do you mess up a shake?).

This food is seriously terrible. The service is extremely slow and I could not even eat my food because it was so unappealing. I ordered a chicken salad and the chicken was squishy and chewy. The food was very overpriced and the entrees did not come with sides. The sides were extra charge. I would not recommend eating here.

One of the many food choices in bustling Citywalk, this Johnny Rockets offers familiar food and plenty of TVs if you’re interested in games. Sometimes getting a table takes time, but they normally stick to their promised delay. I usually haven’t had to wait more than fifteen minutes. The food here is overpriced, however, considering adult meals don’t automatically come with fries. The milkshakes are always good and one of my favorite things to get at a Johnny Rockets, but with the price of the meal I often end up skipping them. Service here is hit and miss, too, so if you’re on a tight schedule for making a movie or something keep that in mind.

After perusing the city of LA, we ended up at CityWalk on a somewhat empty stomach. And then we ended up here. We got here pretty late — maybe sometime around 10pm on a Friday night — because we weren’t sure if we were hungry enough to eat an entire meal. The place wasn’t too crowded, and so we were seated immediately. I ended up getting chili fries. My friend got one of those new burgers they are promoting(I forgot which one) and two of my other friends ordered a strawberry milkshake, an oreo milkshake, a side of onion rings and a side of half onion rings, half fries. The portions were pretty average for an appetizer. The onion rings were the best, in my opinion. Another thing to mention, everytime we go to Johnny Rockets, they always give you the left over milkshakes in a separate cup, so I find that sharing a milkshake between two people is plentiful and can save you a few bucks. There wasn’t anything notably spectacular about the food. It was what I expected — subpar food with typical Johnny Rocket prices. It really was just easy food with a short wait. We even got a complimentary photo from a kind woman who walked around the restaurant with a DSLR, asking customers if they wanted their pictures taken.

Let me start by saying that this review has nothing to do with food but with the false pop up advertising you get re Johnny Rocket. The advertising specifically states that you get 1 free burger once you subscribe to this site. We ordered about 5 burgers so obviously I did, and once I signed up, indicating the specific location, I got the email. I shows the email to our waiter who was nice to tell me that they may not honor it. The Manager came out, completely rude, asking what’s wrong and when I asked him nicely if he can honor the coupon, he said no because it has to be this specific location. Then when I showed him that it was, he rudely looked away and said that I need to print that out. He left right when I responded with«oh.» Almost forgot to mention that we didn’t get our order until 45 minutes later, after the two tables around us got theirs. Note to self, never show the Manager that you have a coupon because you end up at the back of the line. 1 star because waiter was cool and apologetic. Explored that he didn’t understand how our order got misplaced. Figures. Never coming here again.

I’m not the hugest fan of City Walk but had to come here last night for a movie and ended up reluctantly grabbing dinner at a restaurant there. Service: great — our waiter was very nice and attentive and our food came out in a extremely quick manner(surprisingly). The waiter also brought out chipotle ranch for our food which was very thoughtful of him. Food: average — I got the chicken tenders and split french fries with my boyfriend. The food is always consistent and just standard fast food in my opinion. Prices weren’t outrageous for this location unlike other restaurants in the surrounding area so we just ended up here. Nothing great yet nothing bad about this location.

When coming to a restaurant in city walk you have a certain expectation of the food for the money you pay. The food fell way below what I consider«eye candy». I’m okay with the difference between a menu photo and real life but when your grilled mushroom burger comes out flat and unappetizing, it really kills the mood. Only redemption would be the milkshake but even in this paragraph I’m still going to rip on that street corner crap of a thing called a burger. First impression really robbed it for the other Johnny Rockets, I feel if one place is like this, the rest are just as bad.

La la love their burgers and shakes! Always have and probably always will. Prices are a little pricey for what it is, a burger joint. But I will vouch for the prices on the shakes. Just recently tried their alcoholic shakes and the bailey’s and kahlua oreo shake is my new fave. Must try!

Visited this past SUNDAY in the late morning. The place was perhaps 15% occupied and I walked in looking for a counter to sit down at as I was dining alone. Seeing none I returned to the front where the host glanced my way with indifference as he moved to help the family behind me? I guess he didn’t credit me with being there first since I came up from behind him? OK I can excuse that. But no greeting or a word of inquery? I’d call that measured presumption a his lapse of basic consideration. So, I politely moved to assert my priority and he silently switched to seat me next… as if it really mattered with a place almost totally empty. So — am I being overly sensitive? IDK — but maybe not. As I saw another family similarly doused with indifference and the husband and wife remark with a shrug and expression other then pure satisfaction. SO yeah– I was in fact not alone in my observations at he door. So I asked if I could order breakfast and my server said no — it is lunch. To which I reminded him it is still 5 minutes before the menu changes — so are you SURE there is no further ordering for breakfast? Check your computer screen — and he did — and he took my breakfast order. When my breakfast burger arrived I will simply say it was fine. About the right size and suitably satisfying. Not fabulous or colossal in size for the money — nor was it overpriced. I thought it just fine for the dollar. However, I did not have a place setting — and had to ask for one. And no one returned after I was served to check if my meal was proceeding sufficiently well. Again, indifference and missed basic elements leave me thinking — this kind of performance may well spill over into their behind the kitchen food handling? I did not visit the bathrooms so cannot remark. I will say the basic appearance of the dining room and my booth were fine and in good condition. Some alternative establishments cannot claim the same. So that earns them ONE star. The second is because I enjoyed my breakfast burger. in spite of the lackluster indifferent service which sort of destroyed the meal. Well — I gave the fellow a 20% tip in cash to which he returned with a grin and«thank you»… and I hate to say it but this was not really deserved. I was just being gracious and generous in spite of my disappointment. I only a simple breakfast burger and was not a bi ticket customer… but I didn’t want to trouble or begrudge the server with my disappointment. He might have a family and troubles of his own which left him with his indifference. Nor did I take a moment to confront the host with his mildly disappointing behavior. Only later did I think it was wrong to give them a false sense of accomplishment — and so I am reprising my experience here in clarity and with fair minded observations. Do I recommend Johnny Rockets? Usually I enjoy the entire experience — and maybe thismorning they were off step and guilty of mis-steps? So give them a try and just be ready if they screw up the basic courtesies… OK?

Never again! Horrible service and the food was Meh! We walked in the restaurant and waited 5 minutes before a hostess acknowledged us. She then seated us at a filthy table filled with crumbs and soda spills on the seat and floor. It was sticky and wet. Ick! *Strike 1* We waited again to see if we could change tables, tick tock tick tock. Finally, the hostess walks by and seats our party of 5 at a booth meant for 4… um ok! Our server«Astrid» doesn’t show up until 10 mins later, UGH! Thirsty and Starving. we were MAD! She was a HORRIBLE server! She never smiled and we only saw her TWICE! She came by to take our orders and to give us our check! I had to ask a busboy to refill our drinks! *Strike 2* Food: burgers were overcooked and served lukewarm. The sweet potato fries were burnt and the chili cheese fries were cold. The onion rings were ok… *Strike 3* Highly Disappointed!
