Fast. Good. Cheap. Seriously– the cheese on this pizza is REALLY good! The sauce yummy and wasn’t acidic like the cheap places and the crust was… well, crust. But the cheese… mmmmmmmm My pizza was steaming hot and it was at my rented condo very quickly in 40 degree weather. I’m impressed!

Instead of eating out every night while we were on vacation, the wife and I decided to order something from Pizza on Wheels. They were picked over Lighthouse Pizza because their menu was posted in the in room magazine that advertises for the local restaurants. I ordered the mild wings. These are not fried wings. They were cooked just like the kind you buy from the freezer section of the grocery store. They were more fatty and gooey than anything. Their version of mild was also very hot. These did not sit well with me and my bowels are only now recovering from the worst wings i’ve eaten in my entire life. My wife ordered the full size turkey sub. It was ok. There was nothing special about it and it is even an inferior sandwich to what you would get at Subway. The only plus side is the full size sub is really(unless they messed this up) two subs in a to go box. My wife only at one and the other went to waste. I’d say the value there is good if you absolutely don’t want to leave your hotel and want a crappy sandwich.

Great pizza and great service!!! Cheese pizza looked a tad burnt on the top so we were skeptical but it was delicious. Everyone who worked there was super nice. Prices are excellent too

It was decent pizza, we called it in and picked it up to save delivery time, very small seating at location, four pizzas ready very quickly on a busy 4th of July weekend, felt like a local place, beats dominos, there are better pizzas on the Island for dine in, this was about tops for take out/delivery.

The place was a 2 minute walk from where we were staying. The pizza was a better version of the famous Papa pizza, it’s in that class. Expensive for what it is, but it’s a tourist town. Dine in consists of 3 odd home type dinning tables, the décor cost about $ 15 and the dining area is small and odd. We chose to carry it back to the house. Four stars may be stretching it but it fit the bill. We feel there are 3 classes of pizza, super cheap($ 5) mid(famous papa and this) and high end pizza. The 6 of us voted and it is a four star mid range pizza. We do not take price in consideration because in tourist places prices are much higher.

Pizza was fantastic! Everything else was not good. Also, they got our order completely wrong.

Really like this pizza joint! My friend and I wanted pizza one night and read that Pizza On Wheels had the best pizza around and decided to try it out. Got the Big Wheel and loved it! So much better than dreary, boring other chain pizza places. The dough is made each day on site and definitely tastes that way. I make pizza dough from scratch at home and this rates very high with me. Generous with their toppings, and nice people. Place is very laid back, but that’s the island way! Love it, and am missing it now that I’m landlocked again!

Had this place over 4th of July weekend… had heard great things about Huc A Poo’s but their phone was busy so couldn’t place a pick-up order. The pizza came a little later than they said(55 mins instead of 45) but it wasn’t a big deal. Decent pizza, nothing special but nothing really wrong with it

I tried to eat here last night and it was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. I would have to write a book to explain how bad. I waited for almost 45 minutes and never even got a pizza. Then the extremely rude girl behind the counter had the nerve to call my mom and I f#%$ing bitches. The manager did nothing but offer our money back. No professionalism at all.

After waiting the requisite 30 minutes after phoning in an order, I arrived to find they never made my pizza. After waiting for a pizza to be made, we got home to find The pizza was average at best. Lighthouse Pizza is the better pizza place on Tybee Island.

3÷26÷13 We had dinner at Pizza On Wheels. The pizza was fantastic, the dough was so good and the sauce was excellent, the toppings were also very good. The staff was very nice. We will definitely go back again before we leave the area.

I hate to say this, because the owners and the people that work there are so damn nice, but the pizza isn’t that great. The tomato sauce is pretty bland and the pizza just doesn’t come together well. One thing they do have going for them is that they deliver, a rare commodity on the island.

The staff was very nice, and the food was pretty good, but it was not nearly as good as Vinnie van go-gos in downtown Savannah. They had the pizza ready on time, and I’d eat there again if there was nothing better, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat there. It was a little overpriced at $ 13 for an average pizza. My wife liked it even less than I did, though.

Great dough! Fairly reasonably priced and the toppings were great too other than the sausage which was average.
