We usually come here on Saturday nights and we are able to split a meal at the bar, but Friday night new rules, was told 20 minutes for a table and waited 45 and was told our pager’s battery had died. Amazing the difference between the two nights. After the last several Saturday nights we even recommended this place to several of our neighbors. Can’t say the same after tonight!

Great food, great service and a super friendly atmosphere! Reminds me of places my grandparents used to take me to. Generous servings at a fair price. If you’re tired of the chain restaurants give this place a try!

My favorite place for all you can eat Friday fish fry! You’ll also get fries and/or potato pancakes! Their fish is mild. There no fishy taste which I prefer. My daughter enjoyed her burger and couldn’t eat all of it. This place gets packed every Friday so be prepared! They usually have free wings and homemade kettle chips to snack on while you are waiting and having a cocktail.

Fish fry was good despite super bitch hostess. Our party of 12, Will never eat there again because of her. We made a reservation for 12 people on Friday for the fish fry. No problem. When it comes Friday night, 6 of us show up and tell the hostess(who was an older woman with short light colored hair) we are there for our reservation. She literally raises her voice at us and yelling in front of all the people we are with, that our whole party isn’t there. Which no one told us over the phone and it’s hard to gather 12 people at the exact same time. She sat us. All of our party showed up promptly, besides 2 people who were 15 minutes late. Before, the 2 late people got there we had ordered fish fry and the food was on its way. In between this time, The hostess came up to our table yelling and harassing us that the 2 people weren’t there and we would have to leave so she could use our table. By that time, I was almost in tears from all the bullying and everyone else was pissed off at her. My husband told her we had already placed our orders and if she would like us to leave we will but she would have 10 plates of wasted food. «Oh thank God you ordered» she said and walked away. That was the single most worst dining experience I’ve had, I was so embarrassed and can’t believe a person in customer service or works with people can treat any human being like that.

My friend, fiancée, and I hit the driving range while her husband and dad hit the course. All three of us were novices, and we had the range to ourselves(thankfully!) Everyone was welcoming and helpful and did not make us feel embarrassed for not knowing a thing. The bartender is super friendly, and the ambience is very welcoming and comfortable.

We couldn’t be more pleased with this course. My wife and I drive up from the Chicago Suburbs at least twice each month. The course is moderately challenging for average golfers(we shoot mid-90’s) and generally kept in very good shape. Pricing is VERY reasonable and the people here could not be nicer. Twin Lakes Country Club has really great food… it’s Red Barn is one of the oldest supper clubs in Wisconsin. On Saturday afternoons they offer 18 holes with cart for $ 39…and that includes a prime rib dinner. You will not go away hungry. On Sunday’s its a similar deal with broasted chicken. The golf course is well laid-out with some very challenging holes. Several holes south of the clubhouse are built over a peat bog and the fairways have a rippled terrain. While bumpy on the golf cart, they add personality to about five holes(1,2,3,4&15). There is some elevation to deal with mostly on the back nine, which Chicago golfers will appreciate after all the flat course we play on.

This course is terrible! You will feel nauseous from all the bumps on the course. It’s like they planted grass seed on top of moguls! I had a very bad head ache from bouncing up and down the entire round! My head hit the side and top of the golf cart going over the bumps! Then, once you make it to the green they are the size of a tea cup. Golf elsewhere!

Absolutely horrible, from the service to the food. I ordered the chicken oscar. Honestly had the worse smell couldn’t even keep the plate by me. My friend also ordered the battered lake perch, it came to the table without breading and still had the bones in the fish. Any fishermen would know that perch is the easiest fish to filet. After being absolutely disgusted by the food, not one server or employee came over to check on our meal. As a former server, I am familiar with the«two bite» check. After 20 minutes of sitting at the table with empty drinks and full plates, I finally stopped someone to get our server. When she came over she acted like we were an inconvenience to her. Luckily we got our food taken off our bill(good thing because we didn’t even eat it!) I will never ever return.

My husband and I didn’t have such a great experience. We had to ask for new silverware because ours were filthy beyond belief. Our pasta was overcooked and mushy and our lobster was overcooked too. We would have told our waitress, but she never came to check on us until we were finished eating. Our dinner and service was disappointing.

Very quirky course. These are the smallest greens you will ever play on. There are some really interesting shots out here, including some tight tee shots and visually intimidating one’s. Most noteworthy: The 9th hole is a 155 yards about 60 ft up a hill(making it play around 30 yards longer). I’ve never seen anything like it! Overall we played for $ 30, so it’s hard to complain. I would recommend for anyone to play it just to see the postage stamp greens on each hole. Very unique.

From here on Unilocal,I decided to try the ribeye steak sandwich. It was excellent! Grilled just right and was nicely tender. My wife and I will be back for sure.

Great little gem in SE Wisconsin just beyond Antioch & Spring Grove. They have specials on the Weekend that include Prime Rib Dinner or Chicken Dinner with 18 Holes and a Cart. The Friday Fish Fry is freaking awesome. The greens and fairways look great this year and are playing real well… Shot a 91 today struggling to get into the 80’s…Anyways have fun.
