We’ve been coming to this Subway since the day they opened, but in recent months I’ve noticed both a deterioration of service(indifferent, not friendly) as well as a reduction of meat portions, though you can get the same once-ample portions of yesteryear if you pay more. Also, the quality of pastrami has fallen, as well. Gristle abounds. Togo’s, here we come!

We went in tonight(Friday) to get a couple of sandwiches. We noticed right away that they where so disorganized… It seems that they decided to put a new guy on the line, a guy who screwed around more than he worked and a lead guy… that might have other issues going on in life! By the time we waited for 2 other customers to get their sandwiches, we approached the counter. Our son ordered his sandwich and my wife and I started to order ours… only to find out they were out of white bread rolls… on a Friday night!!! I had to ask… why are you guys out of white bread(probably the most commonly ordered). They all 3 looked bewildered, until one said the last shift forgot to make them!!! « “REALLY?» So we decided to opt out of getting our sandwiches and wait for our son to get his…15 minutes later!!! «REALLY?» We all noticed that the veggie bins were so mixed up with other veggies in them, you might as well ask them for everything on your sandwich… cause that’s what you were going to get, whether you liked it or not. …“What a Circus!”…Never Again!!!

I’ve been in here many, many times. I’ve had some decent experiences and some bad ones. My biggest complaint is that the snotty girl they hired refuses to wash her hands after smoking or handling money(and who knows what else). I’ve seen her do it several times. When I got her as my sandwich maker, she had just come back in from her smoke break and kinda reeked. I froze for a minute as she started demanding that I order, as I wasn’t expecting to get her. I hesitated, thinking whether or not I should just walk out and not say anything. But she was standing there impatiently demanding my order, so I politely asked her is she would wash her hands before she prepared my food. She gave me a really nasty look, then huffed and turned around and ran water over a piece of her hand for about 1SECOND(no soap, no towel, nothing) before turning around, handling the gloves all over, and acting as if water was going to melt her skin, and began demanding my order again. She has a terrible attitude and terrible personal hygiene. Appalled, I walked out that day without ordering and never returned. I don’t know why someone would employ a person like that to work in the food industry.

Just a little warning… I just came from this shop and the cashier not only tried to stiff me out of my change but also scam the owners she works for. Which sucks, because this used to be my favorite Subway. She made my sandwich, no problem. I went to pay and pulled out a $ 20. She started to ring me up but didn’t type my $ 20 in to the machine. She then opened up the cash drawer without inputting my $ 20… It would have read the correct change and not the original $ 6.90 charge still… She slowly calculated my $ 3.10 change in her head and tried to hand it over. Uhm. I don’t think so! I immediately corrected her. She immediately handed over the ten, which was sitting separate from the rest of the cashier money, so obviously she was just going to pocket it if I hadn’t noticed as fast as I did. F***ing scammer! I’m very tempted to let the owners of this Subway know what she’s up to and I probably should. I doubt I’m the first person she’s tried to rip off and I likely won’t be the last. Buyer beware… there are some scumbags out there!!!

Conveniently enough, write one review for Subway and you’ve basically written one for all of them. I can’t imagine many people haven’t eaten at one of these establishments yet, let alone that a person interested in doing so would go through the trouble of searching Unilocal in a concerted effort to gain insight into their quality based on a random sampling of reviews. That being said, the fact that I can get a footlong Oven Roasted Chicken Breat sub, piled high with everything you see in the glass case, for $ 5 is an outrageous steal of a meal. Not only is it one of the healthiest subs for you, but that price can’t be beaten anywhere else based on the price alone. If you like the food here, this is the sub to get.

This is a great subway. Cleaner than the one on Las Flores. See also: Boulevard Deli
