I just recently moved to Portland and discovered this amazing gem of a store. I love simple but classy jewelry that can stand on its own or be paired well if needed, and their selection never disappoints. Their staff is all so helpful and seem to genuinely want you to love the jewelry you buy. As an added bonus, they are the only store I have found in Portland that will change the backs of their earrings for you to be surgical steel or titanium if you have a nickel allergy. So thoughtful! I’ll be back soon.

Worst customer service ever! Purchased a beautiful ring a year ago and it broke. Took it back to be fixed and they said it would be at my expense! It’s a sterling silver ring and I was told that it is a costume piece(which it’s not– just a single set stone) and that it was not meant to be worn very often. I would never have bought the ring if that was the case or if I had been told that when I purchased it. I love supporting local businesses, but only ones that stand by their products. From now on it’s Twist on 23rd or Something Silver for all my jewelry purchases. Will never but from Silverado even though I have spent a lot of $$$ there over the years.

I am so happy with the service I received! I went in looking for a garnet ring, preferably one that would match well with the garnet earrings and bracelet my sweet husband had purchased from here awhile back. I was treated very well and was shown some beautiful pieces. I decided on a beautiful garnet and silver ring, and was pleasantly surprised when they got the ring maker on the phone right away to ask if he could change a few things to make it custom for me. And to top it all off, my beautiful ring arrived earlier than expected. Thank you Silverado, we love you guys!

Silverado in Bridgeport does not accept returns. They are one of those lousy credit only stores. Buyer beware! Supposedly they have this posted, but they make no mention of it when one is purchasing. It is SO frustrating to not be able to take something home to try. I can’t always decide without the outfit and other pieces. They have forever lost my business due to this unfortunate policy. I will shop at Sundance and other similar stores with realistic return policies.

Today, was the first time, I had stopped in this store. Very happy I did. Very talented Silversmith’s, with one of a kind find’s. I highly recommend Silverado Portland at Bridgeport. If your looking for that Special gift for family, or friends… you must go! I look forward to my next visit, and the many more, that will follow that one.

Well, I finally went and did it. I purchased something from Silverado. For years now my man, the YS, we like to call him, h s purchased items for me at this location and it was only recently that I even knew where the store was. I wandered in after an ill fated nail appointment that was cancelled. I was looking sharp in my flip flops in January, to take a look at their wares.(Hey, I was going to get the toes done too… but I digress). As I said I’ve only been in there one other time. They were very kind and showed me quite a bit of the jewelry. I noticed some sparkly blue earrings made out of Swarovski crystal. These particular earrings were made locally by Emily Jane. As I looked at them I thought, listen do I really need something else in the jewelry realm? I thought I will pass on them for now and come back if I really have to have them. Well, fast forward a couple of days and I thought I have to have those earrings but since they were the only pair, what were the odds of them still being in the store. I came back by and was in luck. They were still in store. As many of the items in the store are one of a kind items I didn’t want to run the risk of missing out. They have quite a few local designers and a great deal of variety so it’s fun just to take a look around even if you don’t buy anything. SPECIALATTN: GUYS — They just installed an old Coke cooler and in it many kinds of beer. That’s right buy the girl some jewels and a beer for yourself to go. I say to go as they are not licensed for you to drink it on premise but there were some fine bottled beers were in that cooler. Don’t ask me which ones it’s like asking me who’s in the playoffs for football. Besides who cares its the good stuff not Bud or Coors Light. Sorry, for the commercial but I thought it was a great move on the owners part. I wish I thought of it. Another nicety on this last Saturday was a fancy little dessert whipped up by the owner free for the taking. I didn’t partake but it looked like a beautiful petit four. All in all the service is great. The staff is willing to assist you with trying anything on that you wish. They have alcohol swabs on hand if you want to try on various earrings. They have necklaces, rings and jewelry sets as well. I mentioned I was getting married this year and they indicated they had people that specialize in bridal jewelry if I was interested. A good experience every time I’ve went in whether I was buying or not. I’ll be back and if not. I’ll send the YS.

That was then and this is now. All prior reviews were written when the store was located downtown on NW23rd. About six months ago they moved to the Bridgeport Shopping Center in Tualatin and have become one of my favorite local jewelry stores. I’ve had several conversations with the owner and it is interesting to hear her talk about navigating the change in location. She has had to adjust her stock based on a different demographic. What sells on NW23rd doesn’t necessarily translate to the suburban marketplace. She has been charming and helpful during every visit. From my perspective, there are two kinds of stores when you visit with children, «Touch» and«No Touch.» Part of this is due to my fear that their natural boy energy will disturb something and part of that is due to the scowling looks from the staff. Even though this is a jewelry store, they have always been welcoming to all members of my family and even have lollipops for the kids. They carry a nice, diverse mix of jewelry, but I have to admit that my eye always wanders to the art. They have some gorgeous fused glass pieces from local artists that always call to me. She also carries my favorite jewelry line, Pyrrha, based in Canada. The trend in my area is to go overboard with huge, statement jewelry that is practically blinding to the eye. So I hope she stays the course and doesn’t go over to the dark(or is it the glitzy) side. So thrilled to have a small, independent jewelry store in my area with a great mix of Portland-style blended with small town charm. A winner in my book.

Silverado Portland is a great little jewelry store in the Alphabet District. They’ve got wonderful handcrafted silver earrings, bracelets, rings and other accoutrements – many of them made by local Portland artists. I found a cute, inexpensive pair of fleur-de-lis earrings for my mom(a former professor of French) and my friend found some with pretty turquoise stones. The salesperson was very friendly and wrapped each up in a nice cellophane package with a little bow. Silverado has got a large selection in a variety of styles and in every price range, so you’re sure to find a nice gift for someone or a special souvenir for yourself.

My boyfriend and I decided to go in here and look around after grabbing some breakfast at Kornblatts. This place has such a huge selection of pieces from local and international artists. There are some pieces all the way from artists in Italy and Germany! I LOVE jewelry, so this place kept me entertained for a good hour. There are many different styles, and the prices are moderate. My boyfriend doesn’t wear any jewelry, and he almost bought something here because even he found something he liked!

Great collection of local and foreign artists’ work. Some really unusual men’s rings. People who were there were fun for us and the prices are very good.

This shop is darling. Great things from local and international artists. From Nava Zahavi to Phillippa Roberts to Portland artists. The prices are right for these pieces. I really felt lucky to stumble in here the last time I was in Portland.

I’m not telling you not to go in here. I’m told that taste is a subjective and individual thang. And I am awarding a star to the woman working here for being helpful without hovering. That said, within 5 seconds of entering, I knew there was nothing in here I had the slightest interest in. I felt like I was trapped in a glossy bridal magazines jewelry ad.

Huge selection of beautifully displayed and reasonably priced handcrafted jewelry. Even if you’re not big on accessories, you can’t help but be mesmerized when you walk into this cute store filled with bling! Their free gift wrapping is very pretty and of course, there’s no sales tax! Worth a stop every time you’re in Portland!
